I'm doing my research I am not ready to be on Brad Mondo's channel for doing something wrong cause ya girl is giving herself red hair but like. Four different shades of red so I gotta B L E N D
Super cold water. And you don't shampoo immediately after applying vivids(If you do more than one color side by side each other) because they'll wash together.
Came across your video today! I’m freshly starting cosmetology school and this was very helpful with some of the questions I had. Gunna do this to my own hair tonight. I plan to do a black root and melt to a burgundy color. Wish me luck!
Great tutorial! I have a client coming in to school tomorrow for something very similar and I feel so much more prepared! Thank you!!! New subscriber 😊
how did the dark root not run on the brighter color? I want to do black roots with neon green hair....but when I wash it with ice cold water it'll run down my green and stain it.
Literally watching this at 1am because I have a client coming tomorrow for a blue color melt in the morning. Anyone else stay up late thinking about clients hair and what to do?
Redken shades EQ in 5n! You also need the Redken shades eq processing solution,It's different than a regular developer. But since I've switched to Redken shades,it is by far the absolute best for shadow roots, shadow melting and toning, hopefully that helps! Also you can get it on sleekshop without a license
Do you prefer the redken or the pulp riot line for bright colors? My hairdresser use the flame red pulp riot but it fades so fast, she uses redken for my permanent color but not any of redkens bright colors. I feel I need to touch it up myself now since it looks so bad! I hope that is easy to do :(
make sure you aren't shampooing alot and use sulfate free shampoo. Preferably Redken color extend. Rinsing in cool water definitely helps fading. If that doesn't help see if she uses Pravana locked red. :) hope that helps 😘
Tiffany Munsey thanks! I try to go every 2-3 days(3 days is pushing it, it's greasy and I work out and work with chemicals so it's kinda gross)..I use the color safe redkin Shampoo. She did have to lighten the ends a bit since ist the black and red ombre. We've used pulp riot on many occasions, I've always had mixed success with holding decent to it not even taking during the process.
So because u are using a maniquein head and u can,let the hair fall in her face lol if it were a person, would u use foils, and how would u lay them. Ty and I love your accent
The Boors awe thank you! With this technique I wouldn’t use foils on a real person since I’m wanting these colors to melt together. I would just be a lot more cautious and use a barrier around their hairline to protect from any staining. :) if I was using lightener I would def use foils. I love the framar balayage foils and I normally just lay them horizontally on the section
Can you do a tutorial on just putting color under the hair at the nap,of the neck? My,friend has amazing long dark brown hair and she,has to remain professional, so she wants to have hot pink undeneathe her long hair and showcase it when she puts her hair up. Ty💜
Finally someone showing me how to do a proper easy root melt that’s not so complicated
Agreed!!
I'm doing my research I am not ready to be on Brad Mondo's channel for doing something wrong cause ya girl is giving herself red hair but like. Four different shades of red so I gotta B L E N D

Thank you! I'm obreing my hair for the first time from orange to black and the combing tip was really helpful.
Thank you I'm going to try this technique now on my own hair, this video was so helpful with how you showed and explained everything! Ty!
How do you keep the black dye from bleeding into the vibrant color?
Super cold water. And you don't shampoo immediately after applying vivids(If you do more than one color side by side each other) because they'll wash together.

Ok so would it work if I wanted my hair blonde not a mermaid color? I wanna do like a purple/brown on top and blonde and the ends
So I would have to bleach my head to do the melt because I have brown- reddish hair? I want my base black and the rest purple
Great tutorial! I have a client coming in to school tomorrow for something very similar and I feel so much more prepared! Thank you!!!

Hi I was just wondering what colour you do bangs when doing this?
I wish you would have showed the rinsing technique. How does the black not bleed into the lighter colors?

Actually would've gone with a really pretty Light and um Bright Brown hair dye color for the roots!😁
To each his own ☺️ That’s the beauty of this industry..

Literally watching this at 1am because I have a client coming tomorrow for a blue color melt in the morning. Anyone else stay up late thinking about clients hair and what to do?

What glaze and coloring are you using

I’m trying this today! Please Jesus be with me 😂
Hi which vol/% is best to use with melting please.
Depends on the product line your using. I use redken and i use 10 or 20 volume.
These colors don’t require a vol%
I thought that head belonged to an actual person for the first of this video. 😂😂😂😂😂
I did also 😂😂 took me 2 min in to realize it wasn't a real person
So helpfull..Thank you so much!...greetings from Germany:)
Beautiful!!!!!!
If you don’t want the 5N to be too dark why not use a 6 instead? Shades is sooo translucent
Thank u t for easy way to do this
You're adorable love watching your content

Glad to help!!
I watched half this video before I realized that was a mannequin and not a real person 🤦♀️
Im glad it was a mannequin and not a real person!
Why is that? Lol! Keep in mind mannequin heads are harder to work with at times!! If you’re bashing my color technique..to each his own!! 🤗
🙂 I would kill to be this mannequin head
And real hair is not the same
lmfao that's funny my irl name is amelia
Did it not turn out good ?
You did not really show us the end result and you breaded it🤷🏻♀️ugh waste of time
Lol!!! I did show the end result, it turned out fabulous.. you can clearly see it! Have a fantastic day!!
