Oh man that’s a good looking blade right there! Ray has some great designs. I pretty much love all his work. Cool bigger hand sticker lol

Its a bit big for me, but it looks really cool. I like the blafe the handles and the cross bar lock. Awesome video

Overall I do like this knife. I bought the G-10 and ebony handle version. I love the overall size and prefer the look of the wood scales, although they're a bit slick in hand. The G-10 version offers more grip, but feels cheap. Excellent point on the ergos, they aren't the best he has designed and the contoured scales would be much better and naturally add more grip. I also found the cross bar studs are a bit sharp. The edge these knives came with weren't great, as well as the two Pyrite's I ordered. Solid overview.

You have a Vosteed affiliate link!? Cool beans man!
I feel like CJRB has Laconico designs that don't "feel" like Laconico designs. To me, the most Laconico-feeling Laconico-designed production knives are the Kaviso Keen series and the Civivi Sokoke.

Would a review of the custom have value? I try to review knives people can actually buy, but seeing a custom might just be a cool thing to see even if it’s not available in the exact same piece as what I’d show.

😂 I got one… but not giving it away 😎 I’ll bring it for the long-term review playlist. There’s shootouts being made as well!

Cost to value is phenomenal. If the word “Buck” or “benchmade” were stamped on there the price would start around $230.

What's the point of making a good sharpening choil if you have that terrible of a plunge grind ? I don't get these knives, they do not seem to be made for long time use. If they simply backed the plunge grind so that it went to the handle once the blade is open you could sharpen this knife for decades without issue. Or make it 90°, I don't know 🤦‍♂

It is very close. No smiling grind, but it’s super close to it. Not as bad as the Kershaws of old…
      Thanks for watching! 👍🏼🙏🏼🖖🏻

Just got one today and I'm returning it. Got the ebony wood and it's completely black. Looks like plastic instead of wood. The action is gritty and kinda shit and it has pretty bad lock stick. Very disappointed and won't order from cjrb again

Interesting. I’ve never had that from any CJRB. They will make good I’m sure. One instance isn’t much to say you’ll never buy again. Manufacturing defects happen to the best companies.
It’s not like some companies that intentionally under heat-treat their knives (Tactile Turn Rockwall at 61 HRC) or a TwoSun that sell from two different places to avoid taking the hit on quality rejects.
Artisan Cutlery and its subsidiaries have always tried to be honorable in their dealings that I’ve seen, including their response about RPM-9 being sprayformed.
Maybe a different knife from their lineup will be right for you, maybe not, but a single mistake does not forever make.
Give them a tiny amount of forgiveness that you likely need too.
      Or just buy Bestech 😎👍🏼🙏🏼🖖🏻

@@adoseofdrew its a combination of the knife is kinda garbage and also apparently getting a refund from them is near impossible. The only thing that isn't messed up on the knife is the blade. Ridiculous that I have to pay them shipping to get money back on a defective product I bought from them. That's if I get lucky enough to get a response from their customer service. Im gonna stick with other brands like Kizer and Petrified fish
if they honored peoples returns and didn't make people pay for them then I'd probably try another knife from them but nah
