    I loooove your sense of humour mate!
    My radiator is looking filthy and I couldn't find anything decent, until a few weeks ago I found one in your country. It's on its way to Australia now.
    Love your work. Absolutely brilliant and professional 👍

    YESSSSS! I've been waiting a long time for a new episode. Thanks mate I know it's not easy to work on the FZR.

      Haha thanks mate, yeah its been tricky getting the time, more for the editing than the work on the bike 😂

    I'm a bit clumsy, tip for myself and others. Cut and tape 2 cardboard rectangles to cover radiator fins.

    Have you ever tried "metal rescue" or "evaporust"? Those things are a miracle for parts you can submerge. Rust just goes away!

    there's to screws/plugs in each side of the engine to drain the coolent out of the engine itself

    Just brilliant! Mechanics and comedy are spot on, plus that drill set up is mint. Way to end on a cliff hanger, I have my fingers crossed that it fires up first go 🤞
    What takes longer - the bike stuff, the filming stuff or the editing?

    • @tomsworkshopprojects
      @tomsworkshopprojects  3 роки тому +1

      Definitely the editing. I’d estimate this one was about 30 hours editing time. Things like sorting music to make sure it fits properly and colour grading take a fair chunk of it!
      I do the intro/outro bits in the evening once everything’s done so they just slot in.

    I need to get the gas tank off. I notice three tubes that go to the petcock. Does the petcock have to be removed first?

    • @tomsworkshopprojects
      @tomsworkshopprojects  3 роки тому

      From memory, there should be one fuel line to the petcock, an electrical connection for the fuel level sender, and the drain hose that comes out of the back under the seat. But generally as long as the tap is set to off, you should be able to remove these and lift the tank with the tap in place

    Hi Tom, thanks for the video! I just bought a 1990 FZR 1000. Which coolant do you recommend?

    • @tomsworkshopprojects
      @tomsworkshopprojects  4 місяці тому

      Nice! I’ve tried a few but not really found a favourite. The bikes have Putoline in them at the moment, but previously had Prestone with no issues.

    • @TherapyWithRicardo
      @TherapyWithRicardo 4 місяці тому

      Prestone for cars? Or they also make coolant for motorcycles?

    • @TherapyWithRicardo

      Can't find Putoline on Amazon. Have you heard of EngineIce?

      @@TherapyWithRicardo Just their regular premixed stuff. I picked up the Putoline from SpotsBikeShop.co.uk (not sure if you’re in the UK though?)
