This ebike is so comfy looking but a really solid performer. It does seem v good value to money. Nice to see how you each enjoy riding it as well as it's practical uses and enhancement to your lives.
A really good review, so nice to see a husband and wife's opinion. I hope you don't fight over who's going to ride it. Perhaps you should buy another one.
I have been debating for months on which company and which bike to go with. I've seen 3 now and you have just convinced me to go with the 20. I just hope it's discount applies to the US as well. I will let you know. Your South Alabama Friend! 🙏❤🇺🇸🇬🇧🇵🇹⛵👣🤗
Hi, thank you for a good review and the only one I can find with someone of a "shorter stature" sitting on the L20. I'm very interested in this e bike but can't find anywhere to "try before I buy" near me in the UK. Because it's a fair amount of money to spend on what would be my first e bike one of my main concerns is my height as I'm only 5ft 6in with an inside leg of 28 inches. Could you possibly tell me Anne's height please as it would give me a good idea if the L20 would be suitable for me. Thank you very much. Derek 🙂👍🏼👍🏼
Really cool??? Dont get me wrong i love engwe bikes but having installed 3 engwe bikes all had a part missing like a screw or a different size part or shift gear's bent. I've even seen lots of bad reviews on there website and guess what engwe dont allow bad reviews there delete them!!!!!!!!!! Because there want to look like there a 5* company which is bull s**t!!!!!!!!
With the settings as its supplied to uk its essentially a detuned 500, activate the throttle and turn up the power setting in the software you know its not 250. ….being like this is why i bought mine……legal on road and lots of fun off road
mine in less then 2 mounths the sadlle bar broke off and something with the left brake cable if make a left turn ,not even a hole turn the bike stops ,dont know something electric maybe
How tall are you bud? Really wna buy the bike having mobility issues but im 6 foot 4 so dont know if it would be too small. Im not bothered if its manageable
I don't want to spoil your joy - but there are also some negative aspects of this bike: the handlebar height is NOT adjustable, the bike has no torque sensor, that means you can only reach a predetermined speed at one electric support step, e.g. Support step 1 - max. 10 kmh, step 2 max. 17 kmh, step 3 max. 20 kmh, step 4 max. 23 kmh and step 5 max.speed for example 25 kmh. (If 25 kmh ist customized for top speed). To have no torque-sensor means also, you need not really pedal - you have only to move the padels and the motor works with full power. The akku-range of 140 km is illusory, but this fantasy-values applies for all the other e-bikes too. I think a realistic value is 60-70 km. It depends also how strong is your paddle assistance. More fun is it, to ride the bike in 'e-moped-mode' with the activated throttle. In Austria and Hungary ist this allowed up to a speed of 25 kmh. That's my experience with this bike.
Can the front and rear racks be easily removed? How do you unlock it to go faster? What is the top speed just using the throttle? If I bought an extra 16ah battery would that give me more speed or just more distance?
Yes easily removed, to unlock look it up on Google, top speed on my settings is 25kph, but if you change the settings about 45kph You can only fit one battery at a time, if you carried an extra battery with you obviously you would double your distance
I'd contact them, maybe your battery is faulty, plus the stated distances are on flat ground and not at full speed, I'm sure if you are within those peramiters and still only getting 45 Kms youay have a faulty battery and should contact them under warranty

Let's be honest... This bike ain't no 250W...but don't tell the rozzas.. 😅
Where can I buy replacement tyres for an L20? How much do they cost?
20€ to 40€ on eBay/amazon
I have read some reviews that say its 500 watts motor?
Depends where in the world you are, the European version is definitely 250w to comply with the law
With the settings as its supplied to uk its essentially a detuned 500, activate the throttle and turn up the power setting in the software you know its not 250. ….being like this is why i bought mine……legal on road and lots of fun off road
How do you find the range stacks up against what they say?
It's a bit less, but it's pretty good
just ordered the L20 SE
It's still our favourite

Make sure you have the cables routed in the right place
@@projectportugal they are ,, i think its internal
Whats it like to ride without the electric assistance? Is it heavy? Tia!
Yes it can feel heavy
It's impossible - the bike weighs 34 kg !! - I know what i am talking from, i own this bike.
👍🏻
How tall are you bud? Really wna buy the bike having mobility issues but im 6 foot 4 so dont know if it would be too small. Im not bothered if its manageable
Same height as you😁
No problems? Legs arent ti scrunched?

What speed with the resricter off will it reach throttle only Thanks.
45kph I think
@@projectportugal Thank you
Would this fit on a Thule tow bar mounted bike rack? Cheers
I'm not sure, but I don't see why not
Thanks. Am definitely interested in one! I have a volt metro at the moment but would love this for a bit of tracks etc.
@@adrianreeves4271 we love it because it's so easy just to hop on and go, it's also lots of fun
👍🍀💐
Nice bike terrible uncomfortable seat as always with electric bikes!
Where are your HELMUTS?
We come from a generation where we don't bother with helmets as we live on the edge
the max about 13 KG is fake i sat on it today and i prob is like 47 KG so yea and the back can hold like 40 to maby 60
Kinda annoying it needs the key to turn on
@@Blackbeard_El_Torino makes it a bit pointless to steal
140Km, it is a joke. It is giving only 45km.
