Thanks for the video. I just reset my gauge after questioning what my hydronic system was at. I now know the pressure of the system has not been the issue.
Thanks Jamie, I bought a ten dollar silca floor pump with a gauge that was off zero, your instructions on how to hack into a cheaper, "non serviceable) dial helped. I used some steam to warm the plastic (no rivets) cover and body interface and the cover popped right off with some gentle nudging with long blade. Fuzzed around with it by taking needle past zero and stopper until it felt right. I have not confirmed it is reading correctly but it was a great start! Cheers mate.
Hey dude.. thanks for the video... Definitely set me on the right path ... But I didn't bend anything with pliers... Using your fingers, carefully lift the needle over the pin at zero and slowly go into the negative until you hear the gear click .. my guage was 20 psi too high ... Each click you hear or tooth that jumps gear seemed to be roughly 10 psi... So I repeated the process twice and my guage is perfect now ... And again thank you for setting me on the right path! Your video helped lots!!
Need to get just a tad bit closer on the actual adjustment part. Also it would have been nice to watch you drill out those rivets. But thank for showing how to adjust.
I had this happen the other day it was seized. What I done was took it apart moved the needle gently by hand and then used CRC to lubricate moving parts and prevent corrosion. Then I blew in to the base of the guage and watched the needle move. Then put back together.
