A little tipsy for you, when take large parts off the frame, make marks on one end on the part you are removing and also where it fits onto, you can use a hammer and chisel for a permanent mark or a mechanic' paint pen.

Yeah, looking back, I needed to make a lot of measurements and keep a better track of parts and there location :D Now after few years when I go in my tent it's hard to remember where I left off. Thankfully I have this restoration playlist to go back and see what I did. That was the main reason I did it, plus I hoped that someone would also get something out of it :)

The bar that positions the axle left to right is called a panhard bar. When lifting, an adjustable panhard bar does came in handy. But you have to wait until you have the body with all the added weight of seats and everything else before making a commitment on the bar.

That was my thought, let the full wight set in and then I can see the actual spacing and everything.

The place on the differential where you lifted the jack to align the lower control arm bolt hole is the pinion flange. The pinion is the gear that meshes with the ring gear inside the differential. Its back side has splines to match the pinion flange. And the pinion flange matches the driveshaft flange.

That's a detailed description, I appreciate that! Also grate to see you back :)

Coming back to thank you for the tip of jacking up the pinion flange to allign the bushings holes with the chassis brackets. I have concluded a few hours ago replacing all the old bushes with polyurethane ones and that trick made a huge difference.

Surly The bracket on diff must be offset to compensate the front mounting offset

At that time I was clueless. Atleast now your comment made sence of whats going on. I just hope I put them back correctly :)

Now let me ask you about the bushing kit you got: are all the rear control arm bushes equal size?

I didn't change the bushings for control arms. They are original, and I guess both are same size, not sure. Like I said, didn't touch them.

My y60 swb has a similar problem. My right rear wheel is facing inwards a little bit which caused me to spin out of line when i braked hard. Let me know if you find anything on how to fix it. Btw just loving the restoration work.

Thanks for kind words! :) About that issue, I believe if you install the lift and put those control arms correctly (If I managed to do so in video, not sure). Then you need to buy that adjustable diagonal control rod of what ever its called. The one that is connected to the frame and axle. That way you can adjust that axle position.

Actually reading for second time, you had issues with wheels facing inwards not axle leaning to the side, sorry about that :D That I don't know for now. But I see that my wheel is also facing wrongly after I removed the brake disks. I will soon start installing brakes and stuff and will see if that helps. Also my guess would be something wrong with wheel bearing in your case. I will add another comment once I find something more on this topic! Again, Thanks for stopping by and showing support! That means a lot!

The entire set of front and rear bearings are brand new. I put in all polyurethane bushes. Ill have to check the upper and lower control arm directions. And the diagonal arm connecting the axle and chassis is known as pan-hard rod. Best of luck with the restoration and eagerly waiting for next step
