  • Front Axle is in. Now we need to tidy up around the frame. Need to fit small stuff like gearbox mount, sway bars and some tubes, also connect the brake system. That will be in next episode and then the big moment, Engine install!

My steering bars/rods both need replacing. They are still working but there is play in all of the ball joints. Since buying new ones is not an option here my plan is to cut the ends and weld threaded ends to suit ball joints for some other truck. That way I will be able to service the bar with new ball joints whenever needed in the future.

I believe in next episode I found perfect company that helped me, but ok in all honesty I believe delivery from Poland to Brazil would cost a lot! Have no clue, but you can check them out, really helped me. Also I believe you can get a discount if you show that you found them trough me. But yeah, I believe the shipping would hit much more then the rod.

    Mate,
Can you tell me what the OME part numbers are for springs and shocks? Or was it just shocks from OME? Think you said 2" lift? Are the springs and shocks stock performance, or heavy duty etc? Lots of Aussies carry loads in the rear, so they may upgrade by 350 to 500Kg for the rears and stay stock at the front. What did you decide? I am in the UK, so don't carry big loads in the back (no long distance trips). Cheers.

      Rear shocks:

      Rear springs:

      Full 2" kit:
Old Man Emu OMENPY60SL24 Suspension 50mm Lift kit
Honestly maybe that is only the site codes, but I believe you can do a bit of research and this info will help.
The full 2" kit is considered High Load, but I don't think it would do good with 500 Kg, I believe it is more fitted 150 kg - 300 kg. I did all around, front and back. Mainly because my old was totally destroyed and I needed new anyway. Hopefully maybe after next episode I will put back the engine and then I will be able to get more perspective on how they hold. Basically without body I have no clue is it even higher :D I don't have point of reference :)
I'm really happy that you stopped by and asked a question. Big thanks for that, hope I managed to clarify info for you. If you have any other questions or just want to chat about anything, feel free to email me or comment away!
