- NEVER buy a store bought crust again when you can make my Graham Cracker Crust recipe! This easy recipe has just 4-ingredients and can be used for ANY pie - bake or no-bake!

RECIPE:
INGREDIENTS
1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs from about 9 whole graham crackers
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon optional
Pinch of salt
7 tablespoons unsalted butter melted
INSTRUCTIONS
If you’re using whole graham crackers, finely crush them in a food processor or place them in a ziploc bag and roll with a rolling pin.
Stir graham cracker crumbs, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt together in a large bowl. Add melted butter and stir with a fork.
Press mixture into the bottom and up the sides of a 9” pie plate. Press hard to compact. You can use a glass to press the bottom, but use your fingers to press the sides.
To make a no-bake pie: Chill pie crust for at least one hour before filling. Cover if chilling longer. Make pie as directed.
To make a baked graham crust: Preheat oven to 325°. Bake crust for 10 minutes, until it just starts to brown. Cool completely before filling.
To make a baked pie: Preheat oven to 325°. Bake crust for 10 minutes. Fill with pie filling and bake according to recipe directions.

I always use graham cracker crusts for my cheesecakes. Never thought of using brown sugar. I'll use that next time.
I used the grahams with the cinnamon and added brown sugar last time I made one it was delicious. I totally agree I thought of this before I saw your recipe. Anyway, my daughter loves s' mores. I used a deep dish glass pie pan. I added a package of salted caramel after it cooled. Then made a walnut brownie in a regular pyrex pie pan. It fit perfectly. For the topping I use cool whip but will try to use the marshmallow icing to see if it's better. I'm gonna add Christmas sprinkles to the cool whip chocolate syrup and walnuts.

Thanks for the help Dorothy. I recently made a crust out of crushed graham crackers, hot melted butter, and granulated sugar, for a cheesecake. After pouring the batter onto the crust and baking, it came out very dense and sticky.

If I'm making cheesecake I prefer nutmeg instead of cinnamon...
For key lime pie nutmeg or cardamom is a better flavor match for me than cinnamon as well.
A decent dash of salt also really brings out more nuances in all of the flavors, especially those in the sweet filling!

I’m making sweet potato pies for the first time, I had left over filling so I decided to make a grahm crackers crust because that’s my favorite for the remaining filling, I can’t wait. I used a tin foil pan not a glass pie dish!!!!

If you're using full sheets of graham crackers it's about 9 (one of the wrapped packs that come in a box)

I am going to attempt a graham cracker crust for the first time. I noticed you have a clear glass pie plate, like me. I want to bake it. So, should I put the pie plate on a cookie sheet while baking it? I made a no bake cheesecake with your recipe. Very good! I bought a crust for that but I am getting more brave and decided to try to make one myself. Thanks 😊
If it's empty you don't need to bake on a cookie sheet, although it's easier to remove from the oven if it's on one

Did you grease the pie plate? The last few Graham cracker pie crusts I've made were cemented into my glass pie plate and I'm not sure what I am doing wrong. I did not grease the pie plate and I did not bake the crust. Any suggestions?
I find that happens when it's really cold after chilling - and the after the first slice comes out it's usually okay. I don't usually grease it but you can - it won't hurt it!

That's what I was wondering too! I searched a couple other videos and discovered some just make the filling and pour it right in - bake then together. Others bake the crust for 8-10min to harden it and then pour the filling in t(mixed berry for me) to bake it for 45 minutes. Well, I'm going to try the later and hope for the best. Ha!

At 3:45 that does NOT look like a Graham Cracker crust...

How long do you refrigerate your crust for it to set in?
I just refrigerate until I'm ready to fill it with whatever I'm filling it with - then chill until that filling is set. All together I'd recommend chilling at least 30 minutes before slicing (depending on your filling - follow that recipe for that)
What temperature?
