Man, I love videos like this. I don't know how hidden they are, but the Cat Quest games were a ton of fun. Simple action-RPGs loaded with silliness and goofy puns. They are available physically in a double pack, and the second has couch co-op.
Daemon X Machina sure shows lots of love for Mecha anime. For example, right on the second mission appears two super soldiers who saves the mission. Their voice actors are Ikeda Shuuichi and Furuya Tooro; The voice actors of Char and Amuro from the first Gundam, and it is hard was done not on purpose.
I still prefer the older art style. Im a big fan of Urushira Satoshi's illustrations (blame Growlanser for that). The newer art looks and feels generic to me. Im glad that they included the option to switch back to the old art. I might just grab this game for that.
For horizon Chase turbo: It's a spiritual continuation on the Top Gear games from Kemco. In Brazil, Top gear (or top racer) is very loved, and the brazilian studio that made Horizon Chase, even went as far as having the composer for Top Gear tracks to do the music in the same style.
I couldn't agree more with you having Poison Control on this list. Picked it up on PS4 after seeing the gameplay. Got hooked on it instantly and ended up getting the plat for it. Fantastic video btw.
Note about the Fate Estrella Link game, there is actually a pretty thriving discord with people who are glad to talk the game or even run custom multiplayer lobbies. I highly suggest joining it if you play as they have a dedicated section for Switch players!
Poison Control is pretty cool too. It’s one I picked up at launch, on a whim & liked it quite a bit. It’s not for everyone but I think it’s unique enough to warrant a play.
Dude, it was so fun to just sit down and work my way through this. Plus, the different endings are pretty cool. I'd totally play this over again anyday.

Infernax, Blasphemous & A Robot Named Fight are really great games. Some of my favorites and really glad you got to play these gems & add them to your list. That's really awesome 😎 have you played Monark? I think it's a underrated jrpg gem that's rough around the edges but has a fun combat system & a interesting premise.
Played Momodora 4 some years back and loved it. Gorgeous pixel art, fun combat, a sobering atmosphere, and the finale after the final boss honestly left me stunned. There's a sequel coming out sooner or later, so looking forward to that. Also glad you brought up Lost Ruins, since that game reminds me heavily of Momodora 4, so much so that I thought they were by the same developer initially.
That sequel will be so excellent to jump into! I also hadn't realized Lost Ruins is already on Switch, I need to play it there as well lol. So happy you enjoyed the games and helped share the love!
Another solid list, dude! I absolutely ADORE Infernax. I know the guys that made it, and used to hound them for years about when it was coming out, so glad to see that it did as well as it did once it released haha.

I’m a diehard Fate fan so I gobbled up Extella and Extella Link and sunk countless hours on it on their launch days 😂 If you want a traditional JRPG under the Fate franchise, Fate/EXTRA Record should hopefully be finally coming out this year. It’s a remake of the old PSP Classic Fate/Extra. Can’t wait to finally see Nero and Tamamo rendered in the latest unreal engine and in 4K!
Really? I’ll have to keep an eye out for that. I’m a casual Fate fan so I’m hoping for another Extella musou game one day with even more Servants! As much as I like Umu & Padoru Padoru, I’m Team Tamamo
Couple of suggestions for the future: Siralim Ultimate - an old school dungeon crawl / monster tamer. Very fast paced where you're kind of setting up your party to almost autobattle as efficiently as possible. Monster Rancher DX - I went back to these games and they actually have a super fun loop of training, working, fighting in tournaments, that gets super addictive. I planned to just dabble and I found hours melting away. Anyway, just wanted to throw a couple out there.

I’ve played Megadimension Neptunia VII & the Mary Skelter trilogy I did enjoy my time with them despite their roughness at times (copy paste areas, numerous typos, missed potential etc)

Definitely enjoyed playing Marenian Tavern Story, kinda awesome how they modified a mobile game to be on console and made it to where the “currency gems” drop in game instead of being bought as a micro transaction. Definitely check out Blacksmith of the Sand Kingdom, it’s the same formula as tavern story but as a blacksmith.

“Horizon Chase Turbo” is fantastic, but I hope any sequels include online multiplayer & “Lost Ruins” IS on the Switch, now. Thanks for sharing all these recommendations, especially “Smelter!” I never heard of it before.
Ren not only have i played Poison Control but i have the Switch physical which i bought at release and also the PS4 physical as well. I think its charming and fun though i havent finished it. I would also like to get the collectors edition too. Fantastic video my friend!
Nice list!! Fairy Fencer was a blast. We are getting the sequel coming west later this year too in case you hadn't seen that announcement yet!!! You might also like Death End re:Quest 1 and 2, think you might have mentioned them in another video, but wasn't sure. Those were both great too and don't always get a lot of love! And while you are in metroidvania mode (always a good mode), you should check out "Unsighted" if you haven't already. That game came out of nowhere last year and sucked me right in. And the pixel art graphics just complete the gaming experience. I think you'll dig it! Keep up the good work!
I gotta say, this is the BEST hidden gems list I've ever seen! Not because it had the "best" games, but because these are truly hidden and never talked about. Most other hidden gems lists feature the same not-so-hidden gems over and over again.
Loved Infernax, but felt it should have been a little longer! Still a must play. Good video. There are literally hundreds of hidden gems on switch at this point, haven't heard of a good amount of these.

I love these lists and appreciate the work you put into them! I always find some great new games to grab. And Metroidvanias are one of the best genres imo Also Blasphemous is great! I've started it about 5 times but can never beat it (because I suck lol). I will one day though!

Definitely keep up with these hidden gems videos. I bounced off Poison Control hard at first as I found it unplayable in handheld mode. However once playing on a screen with a controller I enjoyed it a bunch.

Awesome! You know you put some amazing lists together when I open a Switch tab in order to add some titles to my wishlist to not forget about them when they go on sale! Langrisser 1 and 2 are 2 games I've beaten last year and they were so good! I was one of the earliest adopter of Horizon Chase Turbo as it wasn't supposed to come to the States so I had my PS4 copy imported from it's country of origin, Brazil! But then like all great games a company realizes that they can make some profit so it got an American version printed about a year after it's original release! Maglam Lord, Marenian Tavern Story and Smelter have been added to my wishlist! I now have someone to blame for my empty wallet LOL! Great video and keep up the good work!

Yet another Metroidvania that I've never heard anyone talk about, but I love is FIST: Forged in Shadow Torch. A stupid acronym, given that you're playing as a rabbit who uses a giant mech arm as a punching weapon, but a pretty great Switch game. Granted, I have it and am playing it on PC and not Switch; very glad the Epic Games Store had it for free some time ago; but either way, I love it.

Thanks for the list! For Daemon x Machina and Fate Extella games, I know Marvelous is the problem why content creators don't talk as much about the game on UA-cam. Before and even after release, Marvelous constantly issued Copyright Claims on videos for the games. Even big channels like GameXplain were hit with claims for their reviews. "If all the monetization is going to be taken away, why cover the game?" is the common sentiment I heard. So it was hard to cover and promote the game because of that.
Always love seeing the videos in this series. Also intrigued by Compile Hearts. I've never really tried them, but your endorsement is making me consider it.
I totally started playing Horizon Chase Turbo a few months ago, and it is super fun! For only being a fraction of the cost of most Switch games, I'd highly recommend it!
First video of yours I have seen. You have peeked my interest in smelter. A hidden gem that I will recommend to you is Cross Code. Don’t know if you heard of it but my goodness. It’s a good game good music good characters. A down side is that a lot of the side quests are the standard. MMO quest of get thing and give thing. But some of them are really cool like. Chase a goat around town, or get a hat from a snowman enemy to give to someone to decorate THEIR snowman.
My backlog always suffer with your hidden gems!!!! hahahaha the "A robot named fight" i got with a great discout and it's a game that i suggest to all my friends, i'm happy to see that i'm not alone :) great list!!!
Well how can I say no to a good turn based game. I completely forgot about Fairy Fencer F Advent Dark Force. You are killing it with your content lately, keep it up!
Another solid video in this lineup of vids man especially reminding me to pick up Infernax at a later date. The one game I'm not sure if it is considered a hidden gem or at but at least to me is Lapis Labyrinth that I managed to pick up during NISA's holiday sale two months ago.
3000th Duel is great and I would also recommend HunterX for those who enjoyed that game. HunterX was made by many of the same developers as 3000th Duel and it feels somewhat like a spiritual sequel to that game. I completely agree with what you said about Blasphemous, it is one of the best of the best in metroidvanias and it is a must-play for fans of the genre, it's one of those games I love so much that I really can't imagine my life without it. Langrisser I & II is also great, it would be nice if more games from that series got a re-release since most of them didn't get a Western release in the past. Momodora: Reverie Under the Moonlight is a quality Metroidvania and I also look forward to the upcoming game in that series that might be getting a release this year. I've had a lot of fun with A Robot Named Fight as well. Infernax is a game that I am an enthusiastic fan of and it is a very close second to Soul Hackers 2 for my favorite game of 2022. I love everything about that game and I played through it 6 times last year and I'll probably play through it again before too long.
Oh heck yes! HunterX is on my wishlist and I think it just went on sale... I gotta pick that up already. Thanks a ton for putting all these switch and steam games on my radar. Still hyped as all get out to get into Spirit Hunter VN, so thank you so much again for that. Blasphemous was that doggone good and I'm like absurdly ready for the sequel. I need to play SH2 again but after you posted your end party for Nocturne i've been feeling that moth to flame like pull to go back and beat it again lol. I need some demifiend back in my life lol

Horizon Chase Turbo is a hidden gem for sure. I think it's the best racer, outside of MK8. It's polished and a lot of fun.

Awesome! You know you put some amazing lists together when I open a Switch tab in order to add some titles to my wishlist to not forget about them when they go on sale! Langrisser 1 and 2 are 2 games I've beaten last year and they were so good! I was one of the earliest adopter of Horizon Chase Turbo as it wasn't supposed to come to the States so I had my PS4 copy imported from it's country of origin, Brazil! But then like all great games a company realizes that they can make some profit so it got an American version printed about a year after it's original release! Maglam Lord, Marenian Tavern Story and Smelter have been added to my wishlist! I now have someone to blame for my empty wallet LOL! Great video and keep up the good work!

Yet another Metroidvania that I've never heard anyone talk about, but I love is FIST: Forged in Shadow Torch. A stupid acronym, given that you're playing as a rabbit who uses a giant mech arm as a punching weapon, but a pretty great Switch game. Granted, I have it and am playing it on PC and not Switch; very glad the Epic Games Store had it for free some time ago; but either way, I love it.
Fairy fencer was a good game, I’m glad they ported it to switch
I think 'Undead Darlings' is a hidden gem in some ways, too, at least to me.

I love Momodora, it can be pretty hard sometimes but I love the aesthetic, not enough people talk about it
I love Poison Control! Idk if Lapis/Labyrinth counts as a hidden gem but I absolutely love that seizure of a game.

For Daemon x Machina and Fate Extella games, I know Marvelous is the problem why content creators don't talk as much about the game on UA-cam. Before and even after release, Marvelous constantly issued Copyright Claims on videos for the games. Even big channels like GameXplain were hit with claims for their reviews. "If all the monetization is going to be taken away, why cover the game?" is the common sentiment I heard. So it was hard to cover and promote the game because of that.

I totally started playing Horizon Chase Turbo a few months ago, and it is super fun! For only being a fraction of the cost of most Switch games, I'd highly recommend it!

First video of yours I have seen. You have peeked my interest in smelter. A hidden gem that I will recommend to you is Cross Code. Don’t know if you heard of it but my goodness. It’s a good game good music good characters. A down side is that a lot of the side quests are the standard. MMO quest of get thing and give thing. But some of them are really cool like. Chase a goat around town, or get a hat from a snowman enemy to give to someone to decorate THEIR snowman.
I've heard a lot of great things about Cross Code. I need to make it a priority to play. Thanks for reminding me!

Another solid video in this lineup of vids man especially reminding me to pick up Infernax at a later date. The one game I'm not sure if it is considered a hidden gem or at but at least to me is Lapis Labyrinth that I managed to pick up during NISA's holiday sale two months ago.

Well I bet you'll be happy to find out Lost Ruins is already on Switch
3000th Duel is great and I would also recommend HunterX for those who enjoyed that game. HunterX was made by many of the same developers as 3000th Duel and it feels somewhat like a spiritual sequel to that game. I completely agree with what you said about Blasphemous, it is one of the best of the best in metroidvanias and it is a must-play for fans of the genre, it's one of those games I love so much that I really can't imagine my life without it. Langrisser I & II is also great, it would be nice if more games from that series got a re-release since most of them didn't get a Western release in the past. Momodora: Reverie Under the Moonlight is a quality Metroidvania and I also look forward to the upcoming game in that series that might be getting a release this year. I've had a lot of fun with A Robot Named Fight as well. Infernax is a game that I am an enthusiastic fan of and it is a very close second to Soul Hackers 2 for my favorite game of 2022. I love everything about that game and I played through it 6 times last year and I'll probably play through it again before too long.
