When my grandfather died i listened to you when you told me to be strenght at funeral. I listened to you when i took on a new career and meet the love of life and now my life has turned around completely. And i still listen, and it helps me
I just bought 12 rules for life about a month ago, and now I just saw this interview randomly come up on my feed not long after a Christian recommended Greg Laurie to me recently. I'm becoming a Christian after years of selfishness and atheism because of signs like this.
I am having a very similar experience after reading the 12 rules of life. I was baptized an Orthodox Christian as a baby, but only now in my 30s I truly came (back) to my faith. For about 20 years I was calling myself an "agnostic". I am SO glad that my heart finally opened.

@Jordan B Peterson perhaps a bible passage mix that might bring more clarity on your unanswered conundrum at around 14:30 is to weigh the implications between 1 Corinthians chapter 13 regarding know as we ourselves are known and chapter 15 regarding the incorruptible bodies. It’s too much for a YT comment, but I think you’ll find deep answers there.
Dr. Peterson, Regarding the difficulty between conceptualized vs. ‘real’ : Have you read “Imagine Heaven,” by John Burke? It is a collection of near death experiences (NDE’s) stories from those who have died and been revived or returned somehow. Over hundreds of stories from believers, non-believers, heathens, children, pilots, bankers, doctors, etc., people who had nothing to gain and much to lose and were often reluctant to tell of the experiences fearing the reactions of others. The commonalities and differences among the accounts was fascinating. The book was recommended to me by a 93 yr. old client who said “It makes me want to go there.” Me, too.
At 14:45 he is talking about going through that next door and expanding it in time and frequency. But he struggled to reconcile it. I think it may be profoundly simple. That transcendence and highest self living... We call dying to self... We also call it being without sin. I think those labels are attempts at framing that highest human experience. But those moments are the Pinnacle in this life. It's moments is heaven on earth. It's why we celebrate the triumph in competition or the saving of someone hanging from the cliff. It's pure. It's the highest moment of human actualization. It's the sense of what we call heaven on this side of the life. The afterlife will be different. It's a mystery on the other side. It's ok that it's a mystery.
Death into the void is a "Godsend" for many dissipative structures that are unable to feed themselves or fall victim to human and other predators. The success of those more robust, those red in tooth and claw or contaminated with the green stench of money are, in short order, also unceremoniously voided from life's battlegound. All of this competition and suffering brought about by a simple, energy-harvesting, looping metabolism that was the advent of life.

If you believed very strongly in it, you wouldn't describe it as a belief, especially not to like-minded people. No one says, "I believe two plus two is four," or, "I believe the sky is blue."
The afterlife is real. I saw it, someone appeared in ghostly form 😮. So my former home is haunted, and as I found out my neighbours is too. I never searched for it and never thought I’d see it. It does give you some peace that your belief is reinforced
As much as I would like to aid you of your grief. All of your understanding and my understanding was given by Him. All of men's knowing is His knowing. Good, Bad, and indifferent. Even all your protests against Him is made possible by Him. None shall be made and had, have been being made without Him.
@carollen5601 people that believe in evil will get evil. people that believes in life will nurture it. People with chaos in their hearts shall breed chaos. Who hasn't has chaos in their heart? Jesus? Even Him in His earthly stay felt chaos. A man only ever reaps what he is sowing. And forever will be
So what I have been pondering on-is God knows us before we were born. He knows everything about us so therefore he knows when and where we’re going to die and this would be for every individual that has been on the planet so with that in mind, we look at intelligent design of the universe, it had to have beeb constructed via an intelligence that being God and if that’s the case because God knows everything and everything that has happened that has been planned This should then confirm not only the existence of God, but the future that God has planned for us.
16 years ago ,I had a massive cardio infarction,. I was fighting for approx 15 mins in the back of an ambulance, when I looked my sister (Reg'd Nurse attending) in the eyes and told her I was done fighting,. My body went into a fit, I lost control, and then flat-lined,.. When I let go I felt an incredible sense of ease, it was actually quite beautiful,..like slipping into a nice warm bath,.. total blackness. My sister pounded my chest with her fist and then activated the defibrillator, twice..All this taking around 3 mins.. I think a lot about the "coming back" part,..It was frightening ,. a stream of information that built and built causing a total fear of panic, until I opened my eyes and then everything was calm. It made me think that consciousness must be like a filter ,.. that we could not handle the massive amount of information our senses receive, without it ... I obviously wasn't dead, but that was about as close as I'd like to get. 🤣 I don't know if there is an afterlife, but I would like to think there is ..
Pls do some research on near death experiences. Many docs already did tons of research. More than 900 articles written in medical journals like Lancet and psychiatry.
I understand Peterson's struggle with this as we all do but I have seen ghosts on two occasions and confirmed the sightings through others who were with me, without previous suggestions of the location being haunted. I would be interested in seeing him go on a ghost investigation and see what he finds. To address the more grounded argument of a literal God and afterlife, we would have much more flexibility in our struggles for perfection if these ideas were simply symbolic metaphors.
Some people say that some ghostly apparitions are actually impressions, like footprints in the sand, and not actual spirits. I believe all horrors are recorded as violent energy playing itself till it eventually dissipates. There are places in the world where such horrific events have ill-fated some people, at times whole towns, adding more fuel to the fire. Do people know or understand what their belief and fear can manifest?
Uniting heaven and earth: Gen 28:12 And he dreamed, and behold a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven: and behold the angels of God ascending and descending on it. Joh 1:51 And he saith unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Hereafter ye shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of MAN. Unfortunately not all of us were financially literate early. I was 35 when I finally educated myself and started taking steps. I went from $176,000 in debt with zero savings or retirement to now, 2 years later, fully debt-free and over $100,000 net worth. I know that doesn't SOUND like a lot, but I'm incredibly proud of it. Now l'm fast-tracking my wealth building (investing $400,000 annually) and don't owe a dime to anyone. It's a good feeling.,,
That's so strange that Jordan talks so much about a commitment to truth, but then they both go along with this obvious lie, 'Death is necessary to give life meaning, but also you won't die after you die. You'll just go somewhere else.' How is that not an obvious contradiction? Don't we immediately know that, in a movie series, if they kill off a character, then bring them back immediately in the sequel, that that feels false to us on a deep level? If there is an afterlife, I don't think God is where you find it. I think God is the living consciousness of the here and now, and anything before or after is as different as land and sea.
The forbidden fruit was a fig That’s why Adam and Eve covered themselves in fig leaves. Mark’s gospel also tells of Jesus cursing the fig tree then the next verse describes Jesus going into the temple and driving out the money changers saying “Is it not written, My house shall be called the house of prayer to all nations? But you have made it a den of thieves.” This parallels Genesis, After Adam and Eve ate the forbidden fruit they were driven out of the garden by God
Time to drop to your knees Jordan...and let it go... We will never know all the mysteries on this side...but there's more than enough to hang your hat on Look forward to the day when revelation of his word to your heart fills in the missing pieces of the mind puzzle
It's funny how people often turn away from God when they witness the suffering of children, not realizing that God sent his son to Earth, only for the elite to despise and kill Him. So, it's a bit ironic to blame God for the world's troubles when it's our own sins that lead to suffering and death. If you haven't experienced the joy and pain of having or losing a child, you might not grasp how much the heavenly father values his children. Yet, many prefer to cling to their sins instead of acknowledging how their actions contribute to the evil around us.
You are so wrong it’s hard to stomach what you just wrote. God does not value us at all. You are right about one thing though watching your child suffer makes people walk away from God. It makes them see him for the disgusting monster that we always feared he was but tried to repress in our minds.
@@user-kf7tt2vk6t If you think God is so terrible, then why are you still here? Believing that God doesn't care about us is Satanism doctrine, which tries to mimic divine authority. This is why many misguided individuals carry out harmful actions against others, thinking they're justified and doing God a favor. Many people are caught in this delusion, failing to recognize their own narcissism and selfishness is leading others down the dark path. They often point fingers at others while ignoring how their own behavior contributes to the problems around them. I've faced abuse from both atheists and the religious alike, but I don't blame God for their action. It's like blaming Beethoven for someone playing his music poorly. Human are born evil and it is their action that lead other to stumble. Before you criticize others, take a good look in the mirror. Those who do evil often disguise themselves as virtuous, but their true aim is to undermine and exploit. It's time to wake up before your misguided beliefs lead you toward destruction.
Mark 9:1 says that the Kingdom of God would start within the lifetimes of some the disciples around him. I believe the start of the Kingdom is recorded in Acts chapter 2. This is within the lifetime of *some* of the disciples, since 11 were alive but Judas was dead.
The early Jews posited that the forbidden fruit was a fig because after they had eaten of it, they covered themselves with fig leaves. See the Mishnah, Berakhot 40a, the Midrash, Bereshith Rabbah, tractate 15 verse 7 and tractate 19:6, and the pseudepigrapha book The Book of Adam and Eve, Chapters 36-38.
Let me get this straight….Nobody gave consent or asked to be brought into existence. Yet we are forced to live for eternity (either haven or hell) no matter what? What kind of cruel fucked up deal is that?
I have no fear of my death. In fact I look forward to going home to be with Jesus My children are unsaved and the fear that my children and now my grandchildren do not know the Lord and I fear their death but not mine.
Jordan Peterson, spiritual things can only be understood by spiritual beings. When the Holy Spirit indwells you upon your final faith in the complete payment by Christ for your individual sin on the Cross, can you and will you finally begin to understand the mysteries in the Bible by his Spirit.
JBP just interrupts so much, talks so much, changes the subject so much and ignores his guests so much that I just get tired of listening to him. I followed him with interest for a long time, but I think the number of GOOD interviews is becoming overshadowed by the number of crappy interviews.
That's wonderful what's happened with you and your wife. The illnesses turned out to be Blessings. Will you elaborate on how to bring that eight year old child out?
The bible have its spiritual meaning and psychological meaning. Much like a human's life have stages and seasons. I have seen some of your work. And what you are fighting for through the years. I have applied some of them and reaped. But only now I understood your hunger. Humanity's Redemption, to transform men to a higher understanding of themselves. To lessen or end suffering. Or rather to help them rise above it. And I can see that burden weigh a man's soul. Much like Moses. He never forgets His promise. His words will never be broken. His will is always have been being done. He is always watching like a thief in the night. Men are not broken Humanity is His legacy His name forever is "I am"
@14:35 John 10:10 Gatekeepers of Heaven. Shepherds that hold keys. They have the power to bind and loose what is on earth, and in Heaven. What that means functionally, is that there are some (and maybe all, but I'm not sure) who can use God-ordained judgement on matters OUTSIDE scripture. Now, when speaking of the mysteries God has hidden from us, there is potential there for binding and loosing, but what I've found is anyone who gets close enough to God, is overcome with Him. Like Moses, not being able to look at Him. And him having to take his shoes off. It's the deepest reverence that is required to be in that place. So, do I know the "answer" of the "seam" between what is Heavenly descending, and what is earthly ascending when they meet? No. But that is a great mystery. I hope a king finds that out one day. But even if we prove incapable as men to answer that question, it is still a Heavenly thing to ponder on. Ps. If you haven't seen my video about the revelation God gave me, you and I are talking about the same thing in there. I don't know how it works when what is Heavenly descends and meets what is earthly that ascends... it's like a reflection? A reaction? Something outside anything remotely close to conventional thought. It's spectacular.
Your moment of death is the most sacred moment of your life... Preparation for this moment is all that matters... Did the ancient Egyptians have more insight... 🙏
7:40 The apple probably came from even older stories and imagery which was then merged into the biblical story. There are ancient stone images of a tree with apples and a serpent.
I like, greatly admire, and have benefited A LOT from Dr. Peterson's works but when it comes to defending Christianity, Dr. John Lennox and Dinesh D'Souza are more effective. A Christian apologist has to speak the language of science or at least makes an effort to do so to be effective. If Dr. Jordan Paterson sticks only to symbolism as his tool, he is convincing no one from the other camp.
My body is in control of my thoughts and feelings. The most fearful mucle that we all had bad experiences whit are inteenal obliques. You use them as a toddler to cry, when you are learning to walk, when are you sitting on the chair, when you are in fear, when you breathe, when do you stand up. More that my body is in relaxing position more i enjoy life. Stop suffering from inactivity. Help yourself and God will help you
What if heaven just becomes a greater representation of your experience in life? Actually, I'll say the "afterlife". Imagine that you believe life is hell and you hated every moment of it. Even if you were not a bad person, you did not live up to your best in life. So, the Afterlife ends up just being a greater representation of your experience in life.
I think it is amazing how someone can talk so convolutedly about mundane obviosity and enrapture so many lost souls. This is such a sad reflection of the poor boys search for meaning
I actually do believe we can be perfect. I just think that god has a different definition for perfect. God's definition of being perfect is having the ability to grow and mature to the statue of Christ Jesus. Everyone can do that by God's spirit. "With God, all things are possible.". Jesus was not a liar and didn't manipulate his words. When he told us to be perfect, It was because there was a way to learn how, but also to reveal the weight of reality of how much we need God.
Dear Jordan, it breaks my heart to see how you are struggling with interpreting the Bible. Maybe read the Bible as the simple and the direct truth. Maybe adding concepts muddies up the clarity? The Bible is the straight forward Word of God. If one adds one's own analysis, one might miss the actual truth, which is directly explained in the Bible. I can see that you are missing out on some of the essence of The Word, but I don't know how to explain it. Ironically, my sincere and loving advice to you, is to chat with James Lindsay (an atheist, but clear thinker), then you might have an easier time in understanding what Heaven etc is. May God bless you in your beautifully honest journey seeking the Truth.
Recently I watched a video whereon a man died and went before the Lord., he siad only 2.5% of all the souls on earth will be Granted Heaven. That is a very low percentage in case you are not aware...
life after death has to be tied to memory to store memory technology created the cloud storage system. I think we live on in a grand consciousness that is aware of all time it's beginning and it's end. Our memory must upload to this grand consciousness and with Christ as judge of who is uploaded to the kingdom of heaven.
7:36 For those curious, "apple" in old english means fruit/fruitlike. Which is where the word pineapple comes from and why things like a potato is referred to as an 'earth-apple' in many languages.
The "apple" in the garden of Eden is about knowledge, and its dangerous manipulations to make us forget God and where we come from...when we deny and forget we fall into our own man-made hells of destruction on earth, like fallen angels.

"If they hadn't eaten the forbidden fruit, I'd probably have hair right now, right?" Love this guy's self-deprecating humor. 😅
Time for Mr Peterson to investigate and podcast, Near death experiences and write a new book on the afterlife itl be very interesting
I get the feeling Jordan doesn't care about an afterlife. He's more about the psychology of belief.

morph for an eternity. ☺
The mind can be the greatest enemy, we must tame it or suffer the
consequences.
Indeed!
We need to recognize that the word "perfect" means complete, and we cannot become "perfect" or "complete" without the grace of Jesus Christ.
The reason that death is the price of reality is that it maximizes the potential value of the experience of life.
More than 900 articles written in medical journals like Lancet and psychiatry.
thought the same!@@cynthiawong1579
I understand Peterson's struggle with this as we all do but I have seen ghosts on two occasions and confirmed the sightings through others who were with me, without previous suggestions of the location being haunted. I would be interested in seeing him go on a ghost investigation and see what he finds. To address the more grounded argument of a literal God and afterlife, we would have much more flexibility in our struggles for perfection if these ideas were simply symbolic metaphors.
Some people say that some ghostly apparitions are actually impressions, like footprints in the sand, and not actual spirits. I believe all horrors are recorded as violent energy playing itself till
it eventually dissipates. There are places in the world where such horrific events have ill-fated some people, at times whole towns, adding more fuel to the fire. Do people know or understand
what their belief and fear can manifest?
Uniting heaven and earth:
Gen 28:12 And he dreamed, and behold a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven:
and behold the angels of God ascending and descending on it.
Joh 1:51 And he saith unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Hereafter ye shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of MAN.
Gen 28:13 And, behold, the LORD stood above it, and said, I am the LORD God of Abraham thy father, and the God of Isaac: the land whereon thou liest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed;

Unfortunately not all of us were financially literate early. I was 35 when I finally educated myself and started taking steps. I went from $176,000 in debt with zero savings or retirement to now, 2 years later, fully debt-free and over $100,000 net
worth. I know that doesn't SOUND like a lot, but I'm incredibly proud of it. Now l'm fast-tracking my wealth building (investing $400,000 annually) and don't owe a dime to anyone. It's a good feeling.,,
Talk to anyone of us who have experienced an NDE an you will be told about the existence of life after physical death. ❤️✝️🛐
This was an excellent conversation in its entirety.
I just love this guy. Clearly he is not one of those trailer park guys.
Praying this makes it to JP: If you truly want answers to the questions you seek, sit down with Pastor John MacArthur. 🙏✝️
I have a question for you Jordan Peterson if you ever read this
Do you think it’s possible for a person to completely overcome there flaws
Been wondering the same thing myself… is moral perfection attainable?
After countless lifetimes...
@@AP-nj1mr Brilliant answer! This is true humility.
While trying to overcome flaws, there's potential in forming other flaws.
God bless ya dude
That's so strange that Jordan talks so much about a commitment to truth, but then they both go along with this obvious lie, 'Death is necessary to give life meaning, but also you won't die after you die. You'll just go somewhere else.' How is that not an obvious contradiction? Don't we immediately know that, in a movie series, if they kill off a character, then bring them back immediately in the sequel, that that feels false to us on a deep level? If there is an afterlife, I don't think God is where you find it. I think God is the living consciousness of the here and now, and anything before or after is as different as land and sea.
Need this
The first 4 minutes is a monologue by Peterson 😂
Everything is a monolog by Peterson. But that's why we love him. The rascal.
The forbidden fruit was a fig
That’s why Adam and Eve covered themselves in fig leaves.
Mark’s gospel also tells of Jesus cursing the fig tree then the next verse describes Jesus going into the temple and driving out the money changers saying “Is it not written, My house shall be called the house of prayer to all nations? But you have made it a den of thieves.”
This parallels Genesis, After Adam and Eve ate the forbidden fruit they were driven out of the garden by God
According to the Tibetan book of the Dead......... journey Toward BRUTAL Self Awareness....
Yes, however I see it as a rite of passage to brutal self awareness. to awakened the
sleeper. Death is the journey.
Completely agree...
Time to drop to your knees Jordan...and let it go...
We will never know all the mysteries on this side...but there's more than enough to hang your hat on
Look forward to the day when revelation of his word to your heart fills in the missing pieces of the mind puzzle
And the promise of eternity
I know what happens to us after we die. But I'll have to wait until I cross over to find out if it's really true or not.
No recessive genes has nothing to do with the image of God but thank God for his Mercy you're welcome aboard
I wonder how Jordan Peterson has integrated the Near Death phenomenum into his spiritual search?
Jordan Peterson, spiritual things can only be understood by spiritual beings. When the Holy Spirit indwells you upon your final faith in the complete payment by Christ for your individual sin on the Cross, can you and will you finally begin to understand the mysteries in the Bible by his Spirit.
JBP just interrupts so much, talks so much, changes the subject so much and ignores his guests so much that I just get tired of listening to him. I followed him with interest for a long time, but I think the number of GOOD interviews is becoming overshadowed by the number of crappy interviews.
He definitely talks too much. I think he's aware of it, but its hard to change a habit. Im catching myself forwarding a lot
I don’t get notifications about your videos you are being censored heavily
2 seconds in and he simply asserts a thing is real without evidence.
That's wonderful what's happened with you and your wife. The illnesses turned out to be Blessings.
Will you elaborate on how to bring that eight year old child out?
im not a fan of cutting parts off of the discussion for ads, just pause the video...
Men are not broken
Humanity is His legacy
His name forever is "I am"
Heaven is God and earth is Man
Love JBP❤❤❤
Your moment of death is the most sacred moment of your life... Preparation for this moment is all that matters... Did the ancient Egyptians have more insight... 🙏
God is unknowable... We do not need to know, the unknowable... 🙏
7:40 The apple probably came from even older stories and imagery which was then merged into the biblical story. There are ancient stone images of a tree with apples and a serpent.
7:34 "apple" originally means "fruit"
I like, greatly admire, and have benefited A LOT from Dr. Peterson's works but when it comes to defending Christianity, Dr. John Lennox and Dinesh D'Souza are more effective. A Christian apologist has to speak the language of science or at least makes an effort to do so to be effective. If Dr. Jordan Paterson sticks only to symbolism as his tool, he is convincing no one from the other camp.
The only man that conquered death was Nietzsche
I can feel Richard Dawkins having a fit😂
If mortality is a requirement to be real, one wonders the implication this has for God.
So, the Afterlife ends up just being a greater representation of your experience in life.
life after death vs death after life, church and state.
Life is the unbearable weight. Death is fuck all nothing in comparison.
How many times does he say “yeah or yup”
Islam and christianity are very close to each other. I respect the bible.
I am a muslim i know Qur'An is the word of God.
I think it is amazing how someone can talk so convolutedly about mundane obviosity and enrapture so many lost souls. This is such a sad reflection of the poor boys search for meaning
If your pointed out the wonderous depths of a lake, and all you see if the surface, that's more a loss for you
We can find UNCONDITIONAL LOVE HERE.
UNCONDITIONAL LOVE is God
WHO does not wonda what will happen after we die???????
TRUE
Look out for a new episode called “THE SHAKING OF AMERICA” airing tonight on Clash of Minds!
life after death has to be tied to memory to store memory technology created the cloud storage system.
The "apple" in the garden of Eden is about knowledge, and its dangerous manipulations to
make us forget God and where we come from...when we deny and forget we fall into our own
man-made hells of destruction on earth, like fallen angels.
The answer to Jordan’s question is postmillenialism.
