I dont know if this message will reach you, Jordan, but I changed my life for the better immensely. A few times over.
It started a long time ago. I was listening to you back when we only just heard of you when your work and belief and strength took off. When you were relatively unknown.
I started to pick myself up.
When my grandfather died i listened to you when you told me to be strenght at funeral. I listened to you when i took on a new career and meet the love of life and now my life has turned around completely. And i still listen, and it helps me

I am having a very similar experience after reading the 12 rules of life. I was baptized an Orthodox Christian as a baby, but only now in my 30s I truly came (back) to my faith. For about 20 years I was calling myself an "agnostic". I am SO glad that my heart finally opened.

It’s okay to imagine heaven as a physical place where paradise is experienced, and wishes are granted instantly. But I think it’s even more comforting to understand that we are deeply intertwined with heaven. This suggests that heaven is not merely a reality to be experienced after the death of the physical body, but perhaps after the death of ignorance concerning the things of the Spirit. Our answered prayers are proof that heaven exists-and that it is within Us.

13:10 The eternity you experience now in your relationship can be seen as a glimpse of the eternity after death. It shows that time and love transcend the physical realm. In this perspective, eternity is not an "either-or" concept but a process: it begins in the present through deep connections and continues after death in a different, perhaps greater, form.

Well if it's a near death experience it's still not actual death, nobody came back from death to tell the story. Not saying there is no life after death it's just not possible to know just because you had some experience. Same thing can happen during a psychedelic experience and it's always individual and depends on deep beliefs of the individual having the experience.

5:41 The perceived conflict arises from viewing earthly life and the afterlife as opposing goals. In biblical interpretation, they are connected: earthly life is a preparation, a place to create a "heaven on earth" through love and justice. Death gives life urgency and meaning, while the afterlife offers spiritual fulfillment. The key is seeing the afterlife not as a replacement but as a continuation. The "Kingdom of God" begins here and now, with eternity giving earthly efforts deeper purpose.

Dr. Peterson, Regarding the difficulty between conceptualized vs. ‘real’ : Have you read “Imagine Heaven,” by John Burke? It is a collection of near death experiences (NDE’s) stories from those who have died and been revived or returned somehow. Over hundreds of stories from believers, non-believers, heathens, children, pilots, bankers, doctors, etc., people who had nothing to gain and much to lose and were often reluctant to tell of the experiences fearing the reactions of others. The commonalities and differences among the accounts was fascinating. The book was recommended to me by a 93 yr. old client who said “It makes me want to go there.” Me, too.

At 14:45 he is talking about going through that next door and expanding it in time and frequency. But he struggled to reconcile it. I think it may be profoundly simple. That transcendence and highest self living... We call dying to self... We also call it being without sin. I think those labels are attempts at framing that highest human experience. But those moments are the Pinnacle in this life. It's moments is heaven on earth.
It's why we celebrate the triumph in competition or the saving of someone hanging from the cliff. It's pure. It's the highest moment of human actualization. It's the sense of what we call heaven on this side of the life. The afterlife will be different. It's a mystery on the other side. It's ok that it's a mystery.

Death into the void is a "Godsend" for many dissipative structures that are unable to feed themselves or fall victim to human and other predators. The success of those more robust, those red in tooth and claw or contaminated with the green stench of money are, in short order, also unceremoniously voided from life's battlegound. All of this competition and suffering brought about by a simple, energy-harvesting, looping metabolism that was the advent of life.

So what I have been pondering on-is God knows us before we were born. He knows everything about us so therefore he knows when and where we’re going to die and this would be for every individual that has been on the planet so with that in mind, we look at intelligent design of the universe, it had to have beeb constructed via an intelligence that being God and if that’s the case because God knows everything and everything that has happened that has been planned This should then confirm not only the existence of God, but the future that God has planned for us.

16 years ago ,I had a massive cardio infarction,. I was fighting for approx 15 mins in the back of an ambulance, when I looked my sister (Reg'd Nurse attending) in the eyes and told her I was done fighting,. My body went into a fit, I lost control, and then flat-lined,.. When I let go I felt an incredible sense of ease, it was actually quite beautiful,..like slipping into a nice warm bath,.. total blackness. My sister pounded my chest with her fist and then activated the defibrillator, twice..All this taking around 3 mins.. I think a lot about the "coming back" part,..It was frightening ,. a stream of information that built and built causing a total fear of panic, until I opened my eyes and then everything was calm. It made me think that consciousness must be like a filter ,.. that we could not handle the massive amount of information our senses receive, without it ... I obviously wasn't dead, but that was about as close as I'd like to get. 🤣 I don't know if there is an afterlife, but I would like to think there is ..

I understand Peterson's struggle with this as we all do but I have seen ghosts on two occasions and confirmed the sightings through others who were with me, without previous suggestions of the location being haunted. I would be interested in seeing him go on a ghost investigation and see what he finds. To address the more grounded argument of a literal God and afterlife, we would have much more flexibility in our struggles for perfection if these ideas were simply symbolic metaphors.

Some people say that some ghostly apparitions are actually impressions, like footprints in the sand, and not actual spirits. I believe all horrors are recorded as violent energy playing itself till
it eventually dissipates. There are places in the world where such horrific events have ill-fated some people, at times whole towns, adding more fuel to the fire. Do people know or understand
what their belief and fear can manifest?

You'll just go somewhere else.' How is that not an obvious contradiction? Don't we immediately know that, in a movie series, if they kill off a character, then bring them back immediately in the sequel, that that feels false to us on a deep level? If there is an afterlife, I don't think God is where you find it. I think God is the living consciousness of the here and now, and anything before or after is as different as land and sea.

It's funny how people often turn away from God when they witness the suffering of children, not realizing that God sent his son to Earth, only for the elite to despise and kill Him. So, it's a bit ironic to blame God for the world's troubles when it's our own sins that lead to suffering and death. If you haven't experienced the joy and pain of having or losing a child, you might not grasp how much the heavenly father values his children. Yet, many prefer to cling to their sins instead of acknowledging how their actions contribute to the evil around us.

@@user-kf7tt2vk6t If you think God is so terrible, then why are you still here? Believing that God doesn't care about us is Satanism doctrine, which tries to mimic divine authority. This is why many misguided individuals carry out harmful actions against others, thinking they're justified and doing God a favor. Many people are caught in this delusion, failing to recognize their own narcissism and selfishness is leading others down the dark path. They often point fingers at others while ignoring how their own behavior contributes to the problems around them. I've faced abuse from both atheists and the religious alike, but I don't blame God for their action. It's like blaming Beethoven for someone playing his music poorly. Human are born evil and it is their action that lead other to stumble. Before you criticize others, take a good look in the mirror. Those who do evil often disguise themselves as virtuous, but their true aim is to undermine and exploit. It's time to wake up before your misguided beliefs lead you toward destruction.

Mark 9:1 says that the Kingdom of God would start within the lifetimes of some the disciples around him.
I believe the start of the Kingdom is recorded in Acts chapter 2. This is within the lifetime of *some* of the disciples, since 11 were alive but Judas was dead.

Jordan Peterson, spiritual things can only be understood by spiritual beings. When the Holy Spirit indwells you upon your final faith in the complete payment by Christ for your individual sin on the Cross, can you and will you finally begin to understand the mysteries in the Bible by his Spirit.

The bible have its spiritual meaning and psychological meaning. Much like a human's life have stages and seasons.
I have seen some of your work. And what you are fighting for through the years. I have applied some of them and reaped. But only now I understood your hunger. Humanity's Redemption, to transform men to a higher understanding of themselves. To lessen or end suffering. Or rather to help them rise above it.
And I can see that burden weigh a man's soul. Much like Moses.
    He never forgets His promise.
His words will never be broken.
His will is always have been being done.
He is always watching like a thief in the night.
    Men are not broken
    Humanity is His legacy
His name forever is "I am"

@14:35 John 10:10 Gatekeepers of Heaven. Shepherds that hold keys. They have the power to bind and loose what is on earth, and in Heaven.
What that means functionally, is that there are some (and maybe all, but I'm not sure) who can use God-ordained judgement on matters OUTSIDE scripture.
Now, when speaking of the mysteries God has hidden from us, there is potential there for binding and loosing, but what I've found is anyone who gets close enough to God, is overcome with Him. Like Moses, not being able to look at Him. And him having to take his shoes off. It's the deepest reverence that is required to be in that place.
So, do I know the "answer" of the "seam" between what is Heavenly descending, and what is earthly ascending when they meet? No. But that is a great mystery. I hope a king finds that out one day. But even if we prove incapable as men to answer that question, it is still a Heavenly thing to ponder on.
Ps. If you haven't seen my video about the revelation God gave me, you and I are talking about the same thing in there.
I don't know how it works when what is Heavenly descends and meets what is earthly that ascends... it's like a reflection? A reaction? Something outside anything remotely close to conventional thought. It's spectacular.

I like, greatly admire, and have benefited A LOT from Dr. Peterson's works but when it comes to defending Christianity, Dr. John Lennox and Dinesh D'Souza are more effective. A Christian apologist has to speak the language of science or at least makes an effort to do so to be effective. If Dr. Jordan Paterson sticks only to symbolism as his tool, he is convincing no one from the other camp.

What if heaven just becomes a greater representation of your experience in life? Actually, I'll say the "afterlife". Imagine that you believe life is hell and you hated every moment of it. Even if you were not a bad person, you did not live up to your best in life. So, the Afterlife ends up just being a greater representation of your experience in life.

I actually do believe we can be perfect. I just think that god has a different definition for perfect. God's definition of being perfect is having the ability to grow and mature to the statue of Christ Jesus. Everyone can do that by God's spirit. "With God, all things are possible.". Jesus was not a liar and didn't manipulate his words. When he told us to be perfect, It was because there was a way to learn how, but also to reveal the weight of reality of how much we need God.

Dear Jordan, it breaks my heart to see how you are struggling with interpreting the Bible. Maybe read the Bible as the simple and the direct truth. Maybe adding concepts muddies up the clarity? The Bible is the straight forward Word of God. If one adds one's own analysis, one might miss the actual truth, which is directly explained in the Bible. I can see that you are missing out on some of the essence of The Word, but I don't know how to explain it. Ironically, my sincere and loving advice to you, is to chat with James Lindsay (an atheist, but clear thinker), then you might have an easier time in understanding what Heaven etc is. May God bless you in your beautifully honest journey seeking the Truth.

I think we live on in a grand consciousness that is aware of all time it's beginning and it's end. Our memory must upload to this grand consciousness and with Christ as judge of who is uploaded to the kingdom of heaven.
