True, I wish we could get a DLC or a spin off game that could take us to Akavir, I'd love to see what it actually look like. Though that would take away some of the mystery behind it.
@@TeCHnORiOT I’m too cowardly to go to Akavir😂I won’t do it. And you can’t make me. Though, there is a mod for Crusader Kings 2 called Elder Kings. If you haven’t played it, I highly recommend it. The mod is set after the assassination of the last Tsaeci Potentate during the Second Era and it spans from the Interregnum all the way past Tiber freakin’ Septim. Imperial Knowledge said “the Tsaeci came to Tamriel searching for a Dragonborn…” but if the Tsaeci claim to be sworn to the Dragonborn, why would the Tsaeci, at that time, plot against the Cyrodiilic Bloodline? My theory is that the Tsaeci were, and still are, wolves among sheep and are not to be trusted. There are various sources that claim that they can shape-shift and have vampiric abilities (which that last bit, I take with a grain of salt) If they can shape-shift at will, I believe there may be a few hiding among us in the games. And whether or not Uriel Septim V is still alive, I think another Tsaeci Invasion is on the horizon. Again, take this with a grain of salt. My only “evidence” to support this, is from one of the bookmarks in the Elder Kings. I don’t recall the name of the event, but I know it’s after the War for the Rimmen, when the Kamal invaded a second time and managed to control the Imperial Isle for a while. Should you choose, you may find in or around Chorrol, some Tsaeci “nobles” who either never left, or came with the Kamal at the time hoping to blend in and bide their time. If I’m even partially right, it is terrifying to think what they are possibly up to.
Quite interesting sword designs; with the twin snake-like figures on the handle and the reptilian jaw-shaped blade, they indeed look like blood-drinking hunters. One can wonder for who they were forged for and what where their intended targets. Akaviri & the other continents of Nirn each have intriguing lore & mysteries that will hopefully get explored in the future. Preferably before 2040.
New upload! Yess! Great to hear more about Akavir. These swords look like they're based off of Akujiki the blood drinking Yin absorbing katana from the "Shinobi" games. What do you think?
Cool video 👍, I really like the design of the swords. They have a very vampiric feel to it. It really seems like the sword of a bloodrinking Tsaesci. They remind me of Harkon sword, who is also akaviri.
Like you, I didn't really think about them in Blades. But that changed when I got them in Creation Club. I think it's because I'm more in tune with ES lore since I started watching your content years ago. I play with a more immersive state of mind since learning all I have from you. So thank you!
It'd be cool if we got a DLC or spin off game that took us to Akavir, I would love to see what it looks like and we could get learn more about the continent. Of course that would take away some of the mystery behind it all.
Running a Elder Scrolls DnD. (specifically Skyrim because obvi that's what my players are the most familiar with.) These were GREAT items to make legendaries for a potential story line.
4:58 aka what happened to arglas in Xenoblade when he picked up the monado. Infact, the whole swords being sentient thing gives me massive Xenoblade 2 vibes with the blades
@@linkalot7415 Torna is the only one I havent played yet. Recently got my hands on a physical copy, i wanted to wait until I had a physical. Planning to play torna in my christmas break or maybe earlier if I have time to really invest myself in an rpg. Should I replay 2 before torna or does it work well as a standalone?
@@ImperialKnowledge it's hard to say; Torna is definitely marketed towards people who've played 2 before, with many of the primary concepts not being explained to you (e.g. blades and drivers, etc.) On the assumption that they are already understood. I think that if you've played 2 though, even a long time ago, Torna will probably be fine. It does a fantastic job of giving more context to some of the less clear events of the second game which is why I'm gonna replay Torna and then go onto XC2.
I know its not elder scrolls but could you make a video on begotten (the game) lore? It is quite dark and controversial however its really deep and I love it
You calling duskfang/dawnfang powerful that often seems weird to me. Is that based on lore or gameplay? (I don't remember if they said how powerful it is, but it definitely felt weak to me when I played oblivion... Then again I usually went for umbra as quickly as possible and that is known to be the most powerful sword in the game)
@@ImperialKnowledge lol no way, Umbra only has a bit higher base damage whereas Dawnfang/Duskfang has fire/frost damage on top, Superior even moreso having absorb health/magicka

Not really but the current game is skyrim so any new content regardless if it works or not will be in skyrim. They would work better to be in cyrodiil or southern Tamriel

The whole of Akavir is so interesting. It’s the fact that we don’t know much about them, it’s what makes them so terrifying. Especially the Tsaeci.

The swords sound inspired by Stormbringer from Michael Moorcock's Elric novels

Yeah kind of, now that you mention it. I played those games to death so strange I didnt think of that myself.

Ahh alright thanks!
THAT IS A COOL CONCEPT!!! so if they don't kill does it take their own blood until it kills the weilder
they might also have been created and only the strong willed can ues them, sch as the Nevarine, the dragonborn etc.....
The problem with that is how we received the blade in oblivion from an orc who mind you break/kill kinda goes against the idea of will.
I know its not elder scrolls but could you make a video on begotten (the game) lore? It is quite dark and controversial however its really deep and I love it
Because of its recharging and repairing itself when it switches it is easily one of the more broken weapons in oblivion
Nice topic :)

Compared to umbra it isnt that great. But its def a good sword imo.

Umbra is a Daedric artifact, Duskfang/Dawnfang is a normal mortal forged weapon.
Umbra would be, by default, more powerful either way. XD
