A nice German pressing of an early Dixie Syncopators classic. I did my best to compensate for Brunswick's Light Ray recording process creating a very tubby and distorted middle octave.

This is the "Big Band" that Oliver led at several locations in Chicago in the mid 1920s. Albert Nicholas did most of the clarinet solo work. Barney Bigard who played clarinet with Duke Ellington for decades was mostly on tenor sax in this band.
