    I was one of those who had both hip arthritis and bursitis. It was caused by me using a rowing machine too long every day. Once I stopped using it and with the help of physical therapy, I am now without any pain from both. Surgery was cancelled. It did take a half a year to accomplish it though. I am 80 years old!

    Thanks to your knowledge, I am working on avoiding joints surgeries.
    My root cause is a Thoracic Scoliosis 17% from birth. My left curve may have caused my left hip replacement.
    I will be 65 years in 2 months and lost 56 pounds and have become so much healthier and hope to remodel my muscles to support my joints as long as possible❤.
    Looking to find support for my new mission to walk and hike with stability 🎉

    I have both those conditions and also "weavers bottom", sitbone pain. Of course of much sitting, but I have been active with long walks too. I love the fact that you are talking about several hip problems one can have at the same time. Calcifications outside the trochanter , like mine, the doctors say come after long time of hip pain and they will not go away.

    My hip pain is in both hips. Could be hip bursitis as you explained. Both hips have a deep ache, but only while in bed trying to sleep. No pain while training legs in the gym. Very frustrating. I usually do a variation of your hip rehab at night before bed. Still dealing with this pain and lack of sleep.

    This is very interesting. I had hip arthritis and had no idea what it was. I was a long distance runner, and had knee problems on the same side after an accident at work. It took over a year to diagnose it, until in desperation I saw a hip surgeon, and found out i had severe arthritis and would need a THR if i wanted to continue running and cycling competitively.
    I am interested in what you mentioned about muscle weakness and imbalance.Back in the late 70s and early 80s there wasn't access to the amazing amount of knowledge we have these days. Runners ran, cyclists cycled, no one did weight training , mobility work etc.

    I was diagnosed with bursitis in my left hip 8 yrs ago and arthritis in the right hip about 1 yr ago . I've become very inactive which has made the bursitis less bothersome but may have brought on the arthritis in the other hip . For me the arthritis is more painful - as mentioned it can grab you suddenly and seemingly out of nowhere . I'm going to watch your other videos .

    This was me! I went to back doc thinking I was getting more back pain. (ive had a surgery). I started PT and my therapist said it wasn’t my back, but bursitis. Even though I have worked out forever, I guess I had been neglecting my glute exercises. I’ve been working on isolation exercises for them. I’m now walking 2 miles, looking forward to my 4 mile walks without pain.

    You can also have bursitis in front of the hip. There's a bursa right where you would expect arthritis pain to be that can get inflamed, too.

    Does PEMF therapy works for meniscus tear repair?

    • @epmanualphysicaltherapy
      @epmanualphysicaltherapy  24 дні тому

      Hi Swapnil, studies have shown for it to be helpful but it usually is a temporary fix. If you have a very limited range of motion then this would be a good idea to try to get you moving again. Once you can move it's important to address the root cause which in most meniscus issues is a muscle imbalance stemming from the glutes.
      We do have a knee meniscus help playlist you might find helpful. You can check it out here:
