Great tips. You are truly maximizing your innate talent doing all these things you listed. You have what it takes to run at the next level (college) where it gets less fun and more serious, like a job. Keep it up!
guys he's not kidding about the firefly recovery technology. When I was using them that's when I hit my pr of 19 ft and 2 in in long jump. Recovery technology is helpful!
Michael love your vids bro you keep my head up every day and give me motivation to push that long run/workout bc I see that its possible to be a 9 flat 2 miler and cutoff a minute in a year, really think I can do something in the 800 this year, looking to get on the map.
Don’t usually comment but I thought this video was very well done and you had some wise words. I will take it to heart and focus on the small things as well so I can crush my marathon!
What is a good 3200 predictor workout. I am kind of like you junior year at least in xc (15 45). I would love to be sub 9 20. Also do you have any tips for getting the speed for the 1600.
For More speed for the 1600, it’s good to run fast 800m races and 4x4s. Also just lots of speed&strength work. I would say a good 3200 predictor workout is something like mile repeats around 4:40s-4:50s or 800m reps around 2:15s
@@NoB0321 I don’t follow any specific routine but I have grabbed bits from many. I try to stretch every muscle in my legs. There’s definitely some good routines out there I would just look some up
I feel like a lot of these tips were mentally things, but I was wondering if you could make a video about how to structure your training and workouts because some of us don’t have the best coach’s
You eat 5,000 calories a day? That seems quite high even for a distance runner. Are you exaggerating or overestimating quite a bit? Also, you seem pretty swole man, do you lift weights or do any strength training of that nature?
As a 10:29 2 miler, you really reminded me to focus on the details because all the little details add up. Thank you.

I agree, I always see my teammates and other people just dicking around and not getting to survival mode

Yeah I really do😂 and the only kind of strength work I do for upper body is push-ups,planks , and ab work
