This is my final video with the bad audio! From here on out, all my videos will have audio crisper than Sir Frankie Crisp. Beware, though - the audio goes WAY up and down in this episode. The intro music is going to be insanely loud, and you’re gonna need to turn down your volume for it. Most of the editing on this episode was done by the great and incomparable Hemlox, making this the first video I’ve co-created with someone else, but I made the intro and outro, and we didn’t communicate on using one equalized audio level. I’ll take the blame for that. On the bright side, no more of that coming up! Enjoy my future episodes!
You’re blowing up before our eyes and it’s beautiful. 100% the next big channel in this genre and better than most others. You deliver the story efficiently and entertainingly. Other creators go for length and cramming in information while you actually journalistically deliver information like you know what you’re doing. Would love to speak with you sometime personally and discuss your ambitions and overall vision of this channel and beyond, simply out of interest.
Genuinely happy to find a channel covering eclectic, strange stuff with the energy of listening to your friend. Looking forward to seeing how big youll get!
15:19 This "multiple people" thing doesn't make any sense. He said "they" as in people looking into the stone, not the people who built it. Also, "they" as a gender-unknown term is incredibly common. This is long before conservatives declared a war on they-them lol
you have such a natural gift for storytelling! and finding interesting topics I’ve never heard of before! this is my third video of yours I’ve watched in a row and I’m so happy to have found this gem of a channel. quality videos like this are hard to find amongst all the plagiarized and AI essay videos. the last time I got this feeling was when I found miniminuteman
God, this is quite possibly my new favorite channel!! I've spent the last few weeks listening to you on my work commute. You're a wonderful storyteller and very well-read!!
I'm really glad I found your channel! It's really good and not only entretaining, but inspiring. Keep up with the good work and keep the soul on your videos!
I have a suggestion! Perhaps not a huge mystery attached but something i saw on the way to San Diego a few years back. The Museum of History in Granite. A strange monument in the desert that from my memory is rarely open to the public.
I think the real take away here is that R.C. Christian has the grounds for a breach of contract suit against the Elberton Granite Finishing Company. He over payed in part to have the specification that the monument should be capable of "withstanding catastrophic events" met, and yet it couldn't even stand up to a casual bombing. R.C. (Ted?) if you're out there, hit me up, I'll get it done right this time.
love the new vid! and since it contains an alex jones mention, i'd be remiss not to plug the absolutely excellent podcast Knowledge Fight, which has been painstakingly documenting his garbage for years now. Can't recommend it enough!
Found this channel like an hour ago, and its so raw and comforting. Also you have a freakin dope haircut and really well thought out and spoken videos/ topics.
Great video! As a Georgia resident who grew up with conspiracy theories about this, I def think it was Ted Turner and some buddies. Not some wacky conspiracy just some eccentric rich guys trying to share their eccentric beliefs in an eccentric way because they are rich lmao. I'm much more interested in who demolished them and why.
I love your videos and am really happy to hear about the audio issues being fixed soon. I was about to ask why it always sounds like there’s a basketball game going on in the upstairs, in your videos ??😅
I just found your channel. I love your content. The Yeti mic you have is a fine microphone. You’re just using it incorrectly. The Yeti is a “side address” microphone. The part of the mic you should be speaking into is pointing up and away from you in this video. Tilt the mic so it’s vertical and speak into side where the “Blue” logo is.
The Rosicrucians also run an Egyptian History museum including gardens and a Koi pond in San Jose. I visited, and they had some nice exhibits and artefacts/reproductions of artefacts. The funny part is that the first floor of the museum is all these real historical items while the second floor is entirely about alchemy, which the exhibits present as being real.
What a coincidence that I've only just gotten a comment about that place now! I went there just a few days ago, when I went to the Bay Area to hang out with a friend of mine over Christmas. He was like "you know how you talked about the Rosicrucians in your Georgia Guidestones episode? Ferb, I know what we're gonna do when you're in town."
its FEX - Subways Of Your Mind, its a song that was a 'lost song' internet mystery going back to like 2008 or something like that that was only recently solved
I'm a gay dude who grew up in Oklahoma, spent my early and mid 20s up in the pnw being a hippie kid, and now Texas is my favorite place in the country to live, and I cannot describe to you enough just how hilarious I find Alex Jones. Appreciate the clip. 🩷😊
Being of Captain Planet age, its theme song is often stuck in my head. It's on the 80s and early 90s pop culture playlist in my head. I'll be focused at work and suddenly it'll pop in my head and my office mate will tell me I'm humming whichever theme came up on shuffle. So I stop.
Those films you mentioned didn't instil a fear of nuclear destruction in the population. Commercial television aired them to express and exploit the pre-existing fear. Caching! $
came here to say much the same as everyone else, congrats on growing so quickly! great information on the sort of subject matter I enjoy, very entertaining, and your delivery is improving with each video! and how quickly you're able to produce output! cannot wait to see what's in the chamber waiting to be released; glad to be able to watch another channel become big! you deserve it have you ever heard of Oneida Community? Roman von Ungern-Sternberg? passenger pigeons? the Vril Society? Halifax Harbour, 1917...
Wait, Tor, if we're on the last video of the backlog, does that mean - next video is made using the tips your fans (and haters) have been giving you? y'all get ready to find out what kind of show Tor Parsons is actually trying to give us. can't wait
To me this is the real story, i dont know why he brushed over it. Its destroyed with a professional explosion, noone is seen even though there are cameras there 24/7, and theyre torn down the next day, with no news of a time capsule
It is absurd how offended some people get by this monument, going as far as to blow it up is just so unnecessary. The exact number of people it suggests to maintain humanity under may be questionable but the general idea seems reasonable enough. The text is just so minimal, it is not telling anyone to live any specific lifestyle or anything, it is essentially just suggesting that society should be managed carefully.
Reasonable ideas have lead to massive death tolls, though. Some guy wrote about how factory workers needed better pay and it quickly devolved into a nightmare of forced relocations and imposing grain quotas on starving people.
@@ORLY911 I mean in comparison to basically every other guide for humanity that people have written down, it is relatively difficult to use the Georgia Guide Stones to justify some crazy political regime.
writing before listening: will the cube debacle be mentioned? also note- elberton GA isnt too far off from the lake hartwell area, which before it was a lake and in pre-colonial times was an important trade hub for various tribes, earning a name that translates to 'center of the world'. this might have played a part in the choice of location for the guidestones from what ive heard, after the explosion the dirt under it was excavated. no time capsule. there were also a few spelling mistakes on the inscription, which is a bit odd
I'm so sorry for this, but this kept drawing me out of the narrative. Rosicrucian is pronounced like "rose" like the flower for its first syllable . And Edgar Cayce's last name is pronounced like "kay_see" . Doesn't make sense, but that's the way he pronounced it. I've done a lot of reading on both these topics in the past, so they really pricked my ears up when you said them. I love your videos, but correct pronunciation helps sell the veracity of your work. I'm only making this comment for you in case you refer to either of them again.
I live really close to where the guidestones used to be. Among my friends and I, it was just one of those strange things that you could go and visit. I still regret never visiting, but what happened to them couldn’t have been expected
I look forward to the day you go to move that durian and he looks at you after yelling "Not so hard!" And you retort "Hush you deformed lemon." His reply of "I am no lemon! Hey, the corner of your basement wall is showing." Will get giggles. Your response "You seem pretty sour to me Mr. Not A Lemon" will get laughs 😂 And that is how you bring him on once you figure out how to animate him! ❤
31:54: I think it's said Kay-see. It's how I've heard it. Checking it's how Wikipedia's pronunciation guide gives it. ...Do not recall how I knew that.
You’re correct! You can see it pronounced on UA-cam, he filmed a lot of himself sleeping, which is when he said he would receive “messages”. Also, I believe the other name is pronounced “rose-in-kroits”.
15:06 um... he said "they could put a gun to my head" in regards to the people asking, no? Why would the person(s) using the pseudonym need to know who they themselves were?
Is it possible that the guide stones were placed there because they would be beyond the blast radius of a Soviet first strike target? FUN FACT: Concrete and steel run like water for a millisecond before they vaporize at ground zero of an H-bomb blast.
