Thank you for these educational Baithak sessions with established musicians. I have watched a majority of these sessions and have a couple of suggestions. In addition to asking the same old generalized questions regarding Gharana system, fusion music etc., these performing artists should also be asked about how they plan their Riaz, specific areas they work on, how to identify strengths and weaknesses etc? The audio quality should be better. A mic stand for the host would help because the questions are not heard most of the time due to mic position. Thank you!

She was undoubtedly good but I simply found the questions asked to be so 1) close-ended 2) asked solely to confirm the person’s strong conviction/ belief in his idea about a particular thing. They were in no way asked to seek the performer’s point of view. For ex: 1) do you not think....? 2) wouldn’t it be correct to say.....? And so many others. Listening to the questions themselves made me feel so restricted and confined. And this was observed in other baithak programs. A tad disappointed

The whole program was very good.. Organising such baithaks is really a very generous and important move. My only request to the reputed musicians is that whenever they sing or play any achhop or aprachalit Raga in any aprachalit taal, they should give a view of it to the audience instead of starting straight away. I know most of the people sitting in the baithak are musicians or music students, but since these videos are being uploaded on UA-cam for the general people too, they should give an introduction of at least the lesser popular Ragas and Talas. Like though I knew she was singing Khem Kalyan in the beginning, I still have doubt regarding the tala in which she sang. Or may be the case that the introduction part was edited out before being uploaded here. Whatsoever, these little things matter a lot. I hope my request is considered. Thank you.
