What the what... I thought your camera was slipping until I moved my iPad and saw what was going on and that this was 360 degrees of viewing. Watching this again. I’m damn proud to be a Buckeye. O-H!
That is the lead snare they stand at the front and gives the tap off (they give the rhythm then call drums on the side to which the whole percussion responds with the three notes that opened the video before they start matching) then the lead proceeds to the second to last position on the right of the drum formation which becomes the center at the point when they spread out into the 2x12 formation
i noticed you guys had cameras on a few other people as well in the same performance. its cool to see it this way and im glad i found it. its insane how precise you have to be and how much work goes into the performance.
I’m British so never been to America and I’m already jealous of anyone who goes to university there. Especially if they have a marching band (we don’t have them in the UK). This is my 3rd video I’ve seen from Ohio State University and I love it 🥰
I just can’t figure out why they still play the trio part when they are using sextets. I updated this cadence in 1992 for my high school. Let’s get up to date OSU. I do love the video, BTW.
When the first time I watched this 360 degree viewing video, I was thinking “When the people are lifting the Bass Drums, does that hurt at all?” That what I was thinking about the first I watched this!
Okay thanks. Those are actually the ones i use, (crimplocks to be specific) i was wondering how you could get a drumhead to sound so projected and loud

The neat thing is that I saw a GoPro video from that snare player that ran to his spot at the beginning.
Same!

Bro I just saw that!
I saw the tenor with the go pro exactly next to this one recording this 360
What a treat to feel like you're marching bewteen the bass drums and cymbals during script Ohio! Thank you, Alex. See you back at Alum Game!!!!

I LOVE this. Made me feel like I was a part of the band. Thank you!
What impresses me is I had no idea how precise and coordinated the sticks are even when not playing!
This video got me teary eyed. I so want to be a Snare Drummer.
Lost a stick at 6:24
Looks to me like the guy behind her hit it as they turn
@@Wuerdefeld One year later ... but yeah it looks like they hit their elbow on the Bass as they rounded the corner.
Awesome performance Alex Repke !
You make it looks so easy...!
Cymbals to the right at 4:50, I see you ;)

Sweet. I wish my marching band had some go pro vids. No one can quite experience it they way the band guys do it. /from KSU.
She killed it
Damn we got 2 angle’s now we got one from the dude that walks down the middle at the start (Ryan Dunson) and now this angle
Search up Adam Ard and Sarah Wood. Two bass drum gopro videos there.
Wow!!!! Never did it on that level, but I miss the precusion and my tuba!!!!
3:45 I believe they’re playing on Wisconsin
Never mind They’re not

BASS! I have subwoofers on right now
I like the fact we can’t see what we’re mounted on lol
When the first time I watched this 360 degree viewing video, I was thinking “When the people are lifting the Bass Drums, does that hurt at all?” That what I was thinking about the first I watched this!
Would anyone happen to know what kind of sticks are those?
Evan innovative percussion ts2 ts3 or Ike Jackson sticks
I figured they were probably ts2s
Where do people get these 360 degrees cameras.? I want one -_-
Places you need money for
The drums sounded like banging on metal garbage cans.
Adam Baum lol that’s what I was thinking
The camera’s mic is crap, so it can’t handle the sheer power of OSU.
What type of stick tape is that? that looks really cool.
Morning Star it’s really duck tape the skinn6 kind
great work
I wonder why it is loud!
2nd one of these I have watched it’s cool
How heavy must those drums be?
COOL!
What type of heads are these?
Remo Pinstripe
Okay thanks. Those are actually the ones i use, (crimplocks to be specific) i was wondering how you could get a drumhead to sound so projected and loud
Send this clip to emc!
Drum 4 💥💥💥💥
Why don't I ever see any skycam views????
Me watching every single pov of the Ohio State Marching:
0:57 perfect alarm clock
the earrape is real
WANG WANG WANG WANG WANG WANG
I just have to ask... how heavy are those Tenor drums?
Anywhere from 30 to 50 pounds depending the amount of drums and their size.
from their size, probably about 30 pounds
It will probably wear you out, if you're not in shape!
20-30 pounds from what I know
These are about 50 pounds. The new ones that came in for the 2018 season have bigger heads and weigh more
that goofy ahh drum sound XD
Bass Boosted in Ohio
