Excellent! Many thanks, Dan! I especially appreciate the portion emphasizing the importance of technique. For me this has been the most grueling because of the effort required. However, the rewards are more than I expected.
Once again thanks for a great lesson Dan. I have been watching your videos now for a while and my bass playing has improved so much by working on the exercises you show us. Like today for instance I find myself in the evening even while watching TV plucking away on my acoustic bass and trying all kinds of patterns that you mention in your lessons. I am still trying to get my head around the modes but am working on it. You are a great teacher.
Thanks very much, Francois. The modes aren’t everything but they certainly are fun and open up a world of creativity. I’ll undoubtedly do more lessons featuring them.
Dan excellent tutorial as always. I understand scales & modes if that's what you want to call them. I am seriously stuck on timing and rhythm. Maybe you could do a course on solely that. As you say very important part of learning bass👍
I’ll turn 5 minutes into 5 hours.😂. I’m so far behind on my practice do to traveling that I’m going to need a month to just get the feel and basics back under my fingers.
Man I sooo love that major pent scale soul riff. I gotta pinch that one off you lol Thanks again Dan the man, awesome as always 👍🎸🎵😉
That’s such a useful scale to jam with! 🙏👍
Great explanation and examples!
Thanks!
I'm watching all your videos daily thanks..God bless you 🙏 Dan
Thanks, Uri! 🙏
I've been binge watching your videos since I got back into the bass. Admittedly a lot of it goes over my head, but I appreciate all that you teach!
Thanks so much. Message me if there are any basics you need to know. I’ll point you in the right direction or make a video.
My favorite UA-cam channel to learn bass. tnx Dan 🙌
It’s an honour! Thanks.
It’s an honour! Thanks.
Every time I watch your videos , you make me want to go a practice. I’ll never be as good as you.
Keep practicing! No need to sound like me - be as good as you can be instead.
Thanks Dan much appreciated 👍
Cheers, Paul.

Cheers, Ken. Technique is so important! If things seem easy to play then everything else becomes easier too. Good technique removes frustration.
Thanks for another great lesson Dan!
My pleasure, Josh!

hi,
i recommend using this order between the modes: F C G D A E B
you will notice that only one note changes with each mode switch.

Another Fantastic Lesson. Thanks Dan.
