My hubby said he really liked obsession but he got burnt out on it. He's a black coffee and chocolate/sweets monster so I think this is my next venture! Going with the OG. Thank you for clarifying the differences! 😂 I've read bad reviews of it on Amazon saying that some of the bottles are watered down and fake. I'm going for Sephora. If I'm dropping a lot of cash, I'll pay a little extra to make sure it's legit!
Hmmm...I've been layering the OG with vanilla frags for a while now. Just purchased the 3.4oz "Le Parfum" after smelling a 2ml sampler. Guess i'm getting lazy, but it smelled soooo much smoother than the OG...even layered. I'll find out how it performs when it arrives this week, but so far...I'm excited!

I wore my "Le parfum" out to the grocery store with the wife this afternoon and no negative effects...no eyes watering, nose wasn't itchy, it was BEAUTIFUL!! I have been experimenting with the OG "Black Opium" and I have to mix it with my vanilla frags in a: 1-parts-BO -TO- 8-parts-vanilla to get it to balance even close to how smoothly "Le Parfum" is! That just shows how overly powerful the OG fragrance is...yeesh. It's definitely no longer for me, even with it watered down with massive amounts of vanilla it's still too..."burny"? I don't know what word to use to describe that feeling of "chokiness" that the OG gives. I also don't know why the jasmine in it is soooooo strong!!!
I was just in Douglas with my boyfriend and I was struggling to decide between Le Parfum and OG EDP, and I made him choose. He decided for EDP so we got that one❤❤❤
Thank you for the review :) I receive a tester of the Le Parfum version, but I feel that gives me vanilla 28 vibes which I already have in my colletion, so Im thinking about getting the and layering with the vanilla 28 when I feel I want more vanilla smell to it hahaha
Thank you! I was on the look for a sweet new perfume and I'm 100% sure I tried Le Parfum (the bottle was all black, no sparkles, and smelled like... Toffee, vanilla, white flowers, coffee... like eating a tarte tattin with a coffee). But the woman in Sephora was insisting that they were the same and was trying to sell me the sparkly bottle with the pink center, which to me smelled like coffee and dark chocolate and was not the same at all.

Yes that’s described the bottle perfectly. 😊
I do think that they defer slightly with the coffee & vanilla notes making the difference.

"I Want Choo" is my de-facto peach frag.
"Vanilla Love" is my number one favorite out of all of my vanillas.
