I have inherited an 8ft very leggy plant from a neighbour who died. Lots of leaf shedding probably due to moving it and also I think I’ve over watered in my keeness to keep it going. So as it’s in low light I’m thinking let it dry out before watering from the base?
Yes the first step is definitely let it dry out completely before watering again. Then consider getting a grow light for it. They have some nice full spectrum lights and I know my money tree loves it.
how do you think it'd do on a south facing window partial light and a grow light in northern CO? I have a 5 ft tree I love nearly lost it a few times due to overwatering. I've learned . i hope :) it's outside now but close to bringing it in. we're having some 50 morning still 80 afternoons
I can't say for sure since I'm not physically there to look at the space but it sounds fine. Just wait through the transition period and see if new growth is leggy or not. Good luck!
Sun thru southern windows depend on where you live.I live in Canada in a area where my southern windows get a lot of sun and the plants love it as our sun is not as intense as if I was living in the south part of the United States.
That is very true. That's why I try to distinguish it as to not to have any HOT direct sunlight! Plants love direct sunlight when it's not like they're an ant under microscope lol! 😆
Don't move it!!! That's my biggest tip I've learned about this plant... What's yours?!
How do we propagate the mini umbrella plant?
Moving like to keep it lighted by indirect sun then indoor??
Thank you! Short and concise!👍
Great video

I only move it 12 feet from window to bright lite in the bathroom. Doing fine in water trying soil
Good luck!
