All your hacks are cool and helpful and I'm delighted you worked with Gerry. Her hacks are also cool. Now there are twice the number if helpful hints. ☀️🇨🇦☀️
All your hacks are amazing, but I really Iove the idea of cutting up the old stamp scrubber & mounting to an acrylic block. Fantastic idea. Thanks for sharing.
@@ardyth Just found an alternative. You can get a paint edger in the hardware section of Dollar Tree that works great and you don't have to sacrifice a stamp block!
@@ardyth Well, you get what you pay for. LOL The Dollar Tree edger has lint. I got another one from Walmart (just the refill pack 2 for $1.97) and stuck one to an old wood block from a stamp and put a Dollar Tree baby door knob security thing on top with E6000 and it works much better with no lint residue.
@@lisagirard8657 So, I gave mine a good scrub with dishsoap, and even used a brush on it, and my lint has definitely been reduced - I'm using it quite a bit with no problems anymore. Sounds like you found a solution too, so that's great!
So cool..and clever! And a big shout out the cardmaking community with brilliant minds and the love that gets the world together, I bet you can not find it anywhere else, but in our little Paradise ❤
I made that same stamp scrubber with a broken, stamping up scrubber that I cut apart and glued to an old wooden block. I love it! I had bought two from stamping up and still love my one that unfolds, I use a microfiber cloth for the rest!
One hack I’ve told people about is: just keep a damp wash cloth on a plate or saucer near by when stamping with dye/water solvable inks. You don’t need stamp cleaners…they cost money and are sooooo unnecessary. When they get dingy throw them in the wash!!! 💕
That last hack is genius. I think shammies don't dry well enough and after awhile they smell like old gym shoes. I agree that a stamp scrubber is great but cumbersome in a stamp platform. Awesome idea to attach to an old acrylic block.
So clever!! Thanks for the hacks! Great ideas! I LOVE all of them! And now I know what to do with the old acrylic block and old Stampin Scrub I have!! 😊⭐️😊⭐️😊⭐️
Wow! Great hacks. I can't wait to see your friend's video. My favorite hack was the waxed/parchment paper on the foam tape. Thank you for all the ideas.
Love that tip of making a portable stamp scrubber!!! I use baby wipes too but sometimes they leave lint behind and that creates another problem . Thanks for the useful tips.
Thanks for watching! The Costco baby wipes are pretty good for no lint, and they're useful, but I'm happy if I can use fewer of them! Thanks for watching!
Wow - I love the stamp cleaner you came up with. What a genius idea. Also, thank you for the trying out the parchment paper. Will be giving that one a go as well. Ardyth, I look forward to your tutorials. Have a sunny day.
Watched both videos and you two are great - together and separately. Subscribed to Gerry awhile ago, and recently to your channel. Keep up the great videos - we appreciate the exchange of ideas to make our stamping lives easier.
Packing tape, that's brilliant. They are all good ideas. I guess I am weird, because I just take my stamps to the kitchen sink & with a wee bit of dawn, they are good to go. My favorite though, was you singing a Beatles song!
Haha! Not weird - whatever works for you is good! My kitchen is too far away (but my 'dream' craft room would definitely have a sink!) Thanks for watching - and right to the end, too! lol!
Thank you for these! My favorite cleaning tool is a microfiber cloth rinsed with warm water and a bit of liquid hand soap. Squeeze to spread the water and soap throughout, rinse a little, then squeeze. You can clean anything with this, blocks, stamps, Misti stamps, and it lasts for hours. Then rinse in hot water with a bit more liquid soap, squish and rinse a few times and hang to dry for the next inky time.
Thank you so much for the Gemini sandwich! I was struggling so much and was ready to chuck it out the window. Not all sandwiches work for everyone I've tried a few. Your sandwich made it possible for me to start using the Gemini again. Thank you!!
I completely agree with you about using a wet chamois/shammy and can't take how the ink transfers from it to my fingers! I searched for another way to clean my stamps on my MISTI and finally settled on spraying stamp cleaner onto a microfiber cloth. It works great and I just hang it up to dry between crafting sessions and throw it into the washer when it gets too dirty to use anymore. But your DIY scrubber is really cool and so clever!! Thank you for all the great hacks!
I used that for a while as well, and it worked well. I like the 'form' of the block underneath the scrubby, and I considered trying to adhere the microfiber cloth to it, but was worried about fraying edges where I cut it. I was hesitant to cut into my scrubber even though I haven't used it in years. But now I'm happy! lol! Thanks for watching!
Great share, thank you. Just a tip. Using baby wipes is only wasteful if you throw them away. I don't. They have so many other uses where creating is concerned. I favourite is to stamp on them. Stamping on them allows you to use them as backgrounds, but it also allows you to cut the stamped image out. My all-time fav is stamping bird images on them. You can also melt them with your heat gun, creating great backgrounds or embellishments. Just a few ideas here, but there are plenty more if you have a play.
Oh wow, I never thought of using them for anything other than clean up in my craft room - these are some really neat ideas! Thanks for sharing (and for watching!)
Those are some amazing crafty hacks, it's often in the small things that make a big difference😍 it was great to team up again💖 STAY UNTIL THE END, I feel a song coming up again, Ardyth Unplugged🎼😁 you're so goofy😘
