I have watched your previous LIMES videos but never commented until now. What a great technique to approach card making. I’ve been a stamper 24+ years. This is refreshing so you are to be commended! Really great inspiration! Thank you and your haircut looks great! I appreciate your cheery disposition in this world.
I absolutely LOVE your cards, and your inspiration. I don't think you can compare flowers to letters or lights, so you can DEFINITELY justify ordering the flowers! 😁😁😁💚💛💗
This was such a great example of how to adapt a card design and make it your own, let alone the whole aspect of purchasing more supplies. Thank you so much!!
HAHA! I'm trying to get better at recognizing the actual feeling of needing something new. It does still happen and those coneflowers definitely needed to come home with me! Thanks for watching!
Oh the introduction!! I laughed out loud. I JUST received a package with some stuff that I know that I really wanted, but can’t for the life of me remember what I was going to make with them!! Edited to add: as a fellow Canadian, stuff takes soooo long to get to us it just amplifies this issue. I can’t always remember where my glasses from ten minutes ago are, let alone why I ordered a stamp or die a month ago.
You are right about waiting for things to arrive in Canada! Someone told me that they put photos of their inspiration into their Evernote inventory so they remember! Thanks so much!
@@ardyth oh that's brilliant. I've had a Concord and Ninth shiplap stamp that I bought a year ago after watching a UA-cam video...I still can't find that video :(
@@JillLalande Oh man. I hate when that happens! It's not that easy to search UA-cam by product, either. When I find something I want to refer back to, I put it in my 'watch later' queue. That seems to work so far...
What a good idea! I will now be checking closer to see what I have that just might work, instead of buying new. I'm glad I am not the only one who orders excitedly and then forgets why! Thanks Ardyth!
Hi Ardyth. I loved your analysis of whether you "needed" the supplies. That's a good idea for all of us. I loved how the cards turned out. Thanks so much. 😊 PS. Your hair looks great. 😊
yay, you had a hair cut, finally😁thanks💖 for using the gel plate, I need to dust that off too, so simple and what a great look😍That tape around the acetate makes it so much easier to find, cool. Great tips as always, fruit included and I loooove the card designs💕
I love your Limes technique. Your examples really give me permission to do some big changes while still keeping it similar. This video was a huge step more by teaching me how to get the inspiration from a possible impulse, gotta have it product. Best part-I can make a similar card today while I'm still inspired and I don't have to wait for shipping!
I love your LIMES technique - such a great idea to use it when thinking about ordering something new! I love all those cards too! I think the poinsettia is my favourite 😍 xxx
OMG Ardyth Magnificent, and Stunningly Gorgeous!! Once again your you tube title inteigued me because I’m so guilty of seeing a creation and HAVE to HAVE the dues and or stamps and dies!!! Well didn’t you come up (once again) with extremely BRILLIANT And INGENIOUS ideas to create your cards by the inspiration you received from what you saw…and OMG it WAS so much FUN watching your creative process and seeing your ideas come together!! The very reason you are describing is EXACTLY why you need to make your book!!!! Then, when we forget what we were going to do, we can go to our book and be reminded!! Wahoo! Reason number…..at least 20 reasons I have given you for the book…..so we will number this reason number 21!!!! I’m sure I will make it to at least Reason 50, so hang in there! More to come……..(remember, I’m a teacher so I don’t EVER let my students quit on themselves!! Just sayin!!!! Blessings!!
Haha! That's not what was supposed to happen, was it? There are round Christmas lights - why not try the colouring technique on some circle die cuts. Add little squares for the sockets (or whatever they're called) and see how they look? Let me know how it goes! lol! Thanks for watching!
I always have trouble visualizing whether I’m going to use something a lot or just a few times. Lately I have found myself with too many supplies so I’m not really making good use of any of them. Time to be really choosy about what I keep and what I buy. Thanks for this approach, it should help.
I'm going through the same thing. There's a feeling I get when I just 'know' a product is for me. And I'm trying harder to be patient and wait for that feeling and not just buy everything I think looks cool! lol! Thanks for watching!
Ardith, I wasn’t to sure about your idea but you won me over at the end. I think your idea is awesome. I’m going to try and utilize this tip. PS ALL your cards turned out beautifully.

I am with everyone on too many supplies but I did start doing one thing with my new (after a week of thought) Stamps and dies i take a picture of the card and save it on my phone if i do decide to purchase i print the picture or pictures and slide them in the plastic folder with the stamp & or dies i also print the youtube video info in case i need to watch it again. Thank You for another great video Ardyth
Great tips. I liked all 3. The JOY card is my favorite. Because of the simplicity of it. Easier to mass produce. I also buy things just because I like the look of 1 project. Then get it home and either technique is harder than the artist makes look easy( not their fault) or why did I buy this? . When I'm in a store and am not sure if I want or need something I will walk it around the store. About 75% of the time I put it back. The ooh something new and shiny feeling fades if I wait long enough to check out. Unfortunately, on line, especially after seeing something cool someone uses in a video sells out really fast. But, your technique is going to save me money. Lol hopefully
Nothing puts me off buying more than looking at the check out line, usually. Like you, the longer I stand with it in my hand, the better I am at talking myself out of it. Thanks for watching!
