Will this cause my engine not to go into reverse or driver ?? Because I noticed the seal out after my mechanic did the oil pan and after he did I can’t find out why it won’t move
@@Fxmouszion the seal don't affect adjustment. Loosen the rod. Put the shifter in park. Then manually. Push lever on tramny side to park then tighten adjuster.
Check your linkage it probably isn't tight thats why you aren't getting gears. It will only tighten in 1 position or else the rod will slide and not engage tranny.

100% It needs to be set up properly before tighten down
@@MyHomeGarage so get a new seal and put it on correctly and change my fluid and it should work agai

I cant seem to fit the cable in the whole is there a way to adjust the black holder where the retainer clip goes?

What’s the email need this seal?
I remember we got it off rockauto it’s listed under selector shaft seal. I believe it’s a national seal. Depends if you have gm tranny or ZF.

Yes. But this car didn't have almost any fluid inside..
