Crossfire: Sierra Squad On PSVR2 Is The Next Big VR FPS

- I played Crossfire: Sierra Squad on PSVR2. In this preview gameplay I'll show its story campaign and squad co-op mode in both arcade and realism running on PlayStation VR2. Could this be one of the best VR FPS games coming out this year next to Firewall Ultra, Pavlov and Synapse?

Here's a sneak preview of Crossfire: Sierra Squad on PSVR2. What do you think of the game?
This looks good, it also makes me think Rainbow Six could be absolutely incredible on PCVR/PSVR2 if Ubisoft started giving the VR market some more attention.
You play roblox on quest
Don’t they use eye tracking for choosing stuff in menus?
looked a lot better in the trailer, kinda disappointed
Its awesome
I can't wait for this. August 29th is almost here. Where is the preorder and please do a midnight launch.
This looks like a decent shooter. Will definitely be picking this up.
Not decent, this is a triple A experience and the company making it has around a billion dollars no joke so in my opinion it’s gonna be the shooter of 2023!
A Crossfire video!!! Amazing video man. I’ve been waiting for this. Keep it up man ❤❤❤
Only going to be playing Realism mode. Thank god this is releasing becuase the launch of FW Ultra is highly disappointing. This is a blessing
Graphics look good. I definitely think I'd play on realism mode because the enemies in arcade mode looked waaaaaay too bullet-spongey.
Hopefully this is a fun game with enough mission variety. Looking forward to seeing how it turns out.
Yes I'm excited for this and Bullet storm coming out December. I just couldn't bring myself to buy firewall ultra. And since I've seen the gameplay and reviews I'm glad I didn't yet.
That Auto reload should go, only if there is an option to disable it and do the full reload on your own, It's more fun.
agreed
I hear it’s all customizable
I think they said manual reload will be getting added in at a later date.
This is why I love using a Xbox Controller when I play non-VR Games.
"I love to reload during a battle! There's nothing like the feeling of slamming a long silver battery into a well greased battery chamber."
@@JayAverageGamerclever! Lol
Sniping in this looks very satisfying defo buying this when it comes out
This was a dope video bro!! can't wait to jump into this with you mate
Nice! Realism mode is what I’ll be in for sure.
This looked like it was shaping up to be a disappointment until you switched to realism mode. That looks much more like it. Hopefully you can just play that way the whole time.
Realism looks like how Game is meant to be played, but I also like the Arcade look.
Kinda like a Time Crisis/Crisis Zone Game.
It gonna be a fun game. Excited for this one.
Not a disappointment in my opinion but yes realism mode did look better, so your not completely wrong!
That was awesome. Can't wait for this.
I hope they provide option to not fade out screen on scope zoom.
Going to get this for sure
This looks like so much fun!
Guys its the company who made Firewall Zero Hour and Firewall Ultra!
Looking forward to the final review, I badly need a decent single player shooter!
😍😍😍😍 pre-ordering as soon as I get home
Can't wait for this game. Looks awesome 👍🏻
Definitely gonna check this game out
Man, this looks fun. Can't wait for the release next month.
Another great and informative upload! Love your honest reviews 🙌
4:08 I really wish devs would stop thinking like this. It's not true of anywhere close to everybody. I often play 5 hours plus (when the batteries start to run out in the sense controllers), and could go even longer on PSVR1 with the Moves and their 'magic' batteries. Please devs, stop hand-holding/babysitting. Stop worrying about us getting motion sick, or not being able to manually reload, and all the other things you worry about. Give us the options. Most of us can handle it all. This looks AMAZING btw, probably a Day1 purchase for me. ✌❤
Arcade mode was turning Me away but realism started bringing me back... Really hope that the maps are diverse
looks alright, I'm curious about Alvo and Firewall Ultra too. Firewall coming out a week before Crossfire, let's see which game is going to be the best.
I will be getting both they are different types of game.
@@shadowbanned5164 yeah, all games are different to some extent but both are first person shooters. ;)
Firewall is the VR shooter for people who don’t want that much of an immersive VR shooter. I’ll take it seriously if they ever do add realistic reloads.
This game is dead before arrival, firewall ultra will see to that.
@@minners71 🤡 you do realize that the general sentiment is that Firewall is for people who aren’t good at manual reloads, right?
so yeah basically a spray and pray game
Looks great day one purchase for me
The red eyes on the enemy are giving me serious killzone vibes. It makes me want a killzone psvr2 game.
I would love a Killzone VR and Resistance VR.
I think Resistance VR would be great like a Quake Wars Game for its PvP Mode. Open scale battles, tanks etc.
@@JayAverageGamer 100% I bought Pavlov at the weekend there and fell in love with it. And I'm not a huge online multiplayer fan anymore. However, it's a completely different beast in VR.
Hope the controls are oke.. some games make the trigger button for shooing a grip button. And many more crazy choices
I expect this build of the game will be exactly the same as the definitive release game. Lets hope they can do something in time with your feedback 🙏
Great Video. But no ragdoll physics in 2023? I'll wait for a full review.
Well I'm sold!
🔥
Will be getting this game day one. Cant wait.
It looks way better than Firewall from a graphics, shooting mechanics, and physics perspective. It doesn’t matter that Firewall is PvP.
@k33p1tc00l that is your opinion. To a lot of people it does matter. I rather play a tactical fps against other people then an arcade shooter against AI. I will get both, but pretty sure Firewall will get more play time
@@solid_justice5855 next time ask me to clarify rather than going on a crusade first. I was saying it doesn’t matter if it’s PvP as far as comparing graphics, shooting, and physics.
@k33p1tc00l you haven't played it so the only thing you can compare is graphics on a UA-cam video.
And again that is your opinion, you can keep defending this game all you want. Won't change my opinion that Firewall will be better. Also I will get the game, as long as it is better then the crap Crossfire x they released on Xbox. Don't forget they delisted that game in 1 year time.
@@solid_justice5855 a) you haven’t played it either, b) just because it’s my opinion doesn’t mean it’s wrong, c) there are tears streaming down your face as you type since you know I’m right 😂
❤
realism mode looks way better than arcade one 11:30
Hope OwO haptics will support this game on release.. 👍
Same
does it use reprojection or not?
Horde mode....YES!!!
Hi Natie, Natie is there eye tracking, regards
I hope thay will add pvp game mode
I hope theres at least a decent Story and not only "Clear all Enemies"
Yes. Same here. Can’t stand playing games with just mindless shooting. There definitely has to be a decent story and a reason for mass killing. I want this game but I’ll wait until I watch a full gameplay first then I’ll decide. I’m sick and tired of wasting money on games which I then hate.
very promissing!!
Big fan
best vr game ever
Can you play the co-op missions single player with AI?
Yes you can but pretty sure the AI will be pretty brain dead
@@stefandinu6389 Well if the AI's anything like there Hyping it up to be i hope the AI is pretty realistic and Smart and not Brain Dead. Allies and enemies.
Of you
My biggest complaint is with the scopes. I wish they worked like normal scopes in Pavlov or Contractors. Otherwise looks pretty good!
Just a word and im willing to sponsor new razorblade For you 😂
did he say 30 or 13 missions?
Wasn't this supposed to be out this morning?
That sniper scope view without the rendered scope is pretty disappointing tbh
Is it not annoying to anyone that your left hand holding the gun cant move the gun? Only your dominant hand can move it up or down or left end right
day one purchase
Explosions need to improve. Arcade mode is awful they should just stick to realism mode
I think devs need to stop putting so many accessibility features in their games because every weapon has a laser, the guns reload by themselves, and the scope enters a separate screen for example. I get that they want to reach a wider audience and the majority are casuals. Have 2 modes Hardcore and Casual Play.
Not every game needs super realistic guns. This is an arcade shooter.
I'm 100% fine with that.
Either way, it doesn't matter. It's not like reloads are a skill ceiling.
It just makes some guns way too fast like the M4 in Pavlov which I can reload in less than a second, with an empty mag.
I think I might enjoy forced reloads more because they can balance guns better.
It's not like I outplayed someone if I kill them while they fumble around with a reload. People that complain about reloads are usually the people that suck at reloads or people that used to suck and now they are afraid they wasted time getting good.
Which makes no sense to me because reloading is very easy.
It's fun for a while because it's immersive but it's not part of the game.
It's like the people that complain about virtual stocks because they paid a lot for an actual gun stock so they don't want to lose the unfair advantage they got by paying money.
A peripheral outside of a game shouldn't be meta and auto reloads don't matter if the game is fun. Case and point: synapse. All you do to reload is bash the gun against anything in the game and the game is one of the most fun VR shooters.
Reminds me of zero caliber
This looks waaaaay better than firewall
This would make a good PvP Game. :(
It isn't pvp
@@solid_justice5855 Solo and Co-Op only.
I hope it sells well enough for The Devs too add a few PvP Game Modes.
No it wouldn’t and we actually need less PvP games so wym bro??
@@JohnnyInsideUA-cam Adding a PvP mode would not affect its Single & Co-Op content. What is WYM please?
You didn't capture footage from your dominant eye 👍
because they didn't let me so I had to aim with the other eye instead lol
@@nathie Yeah, I figured it was something like that. It's funny how even game devs fail to understand how important capturing footage from the correct eye is when it comes to shooter games.
why do the textures look so bad to me? does it look better in-game?
i was just in a rr lobby with nathie and all the little kids surrounded him😭
WILL IT BE FOR QUEST 2 ?
No. As you could see on it's website it's being released for PC VR and PS VR only. The future? Who knows. Maybe Quest 3 or Valve Deckhard.
Get a PSVR2, this will be on PSVR2 next month.
Nathie can you play the 50 Coop missions either solo or with an AI partner ?
You can play squad mode with one other friend or just with an ai companion
So it's basically playing after the fall with better graphics with a more realism/arcade approach
Does the steam PC version also have such low grafics setting? Looks a bit mobile VR to me. :/
I never played on vr, how realistic and immersive is it? Is it worth buying vr?
absolutely
Oh man, VR is something else!
Stuff like the sledgehammer guy swinging, NAILING a brick wall and ZERO destruction. PSVR 2 baby!
The 30$ Price hints to low Content unfortunately, we want bigger full Games for PSVR2
And does it look downgraded ? Could be the Compression or so but it looked a lot better in Trailers
13 Single Player Missions, 50 Squad Missions (Single Player or 2 Players) and even a 4 Player Horde Mode.
39 Weapon Types apparently too, which are unlocked via the in-game currency by completing missions.
How long or the variety of each mission is unknown.
So far Crossfire seem too have a decent amount of content especially with it featuring Co-Op. I can see myself enjoying this with a Friend.
Question again comes down to how each mission plays. Will it feel repetitive, or does it turn into a adrenaline rush, of let's go one more time, let's see how fast we can complete this level. Etc
When you say big full games, what games do you have in mind? I would like a Grand Theft Auto type game.
Excited for RE4 VR Mode, Arizona Sunshine 2, Bulletstorm, Vertigo 2 (really fun game) and Wanderer.
ROFL … veteran huh … ok kid
Nathie are you gonna be playing Roblox on Quest 2 or Quest 3
Im getting Zero Caliber vibes here. I prefer a shooter with a bit more freedom to roam. Looks like fun but so have many other shooters before release. I won't buy on day of release, but watching and waiting. 🤔
Wth?? Sierra is called the hotel I'm staying right now 💀💀💀
Hope you dont get caught in the crossfire! im sorry for that.
I know where it is, i'm coming 😈
@@Slaydrian202 I hope he does for the stupid joke and thinking this is his blog.
Looks like Cactus Cowboy with better graphics :D
How is the happtic feedback???is it like horizon (very weak)
The more i see of this game, the more im put off from buying it
What is putting you off?
@@darthvaderthegamecat it was the fact it looked like a wave shooter. I've read the story isn't a wave shooter since this comment, but then I read it was again . So I will just have to see when I comes out
It’s very linear point to point. Basically a fun arcade shooter
@@meila22 I’m just glad it has co-op, and tons of guns!
I really was an am excited but the 29.99 price says something. I really thought we were getting a FULL fledged aaa psvr2 single player game. Its most likely VERY short is my guess because that price doesn't give me much confidence.
Firewall Ultra is $40 or $60 for deluxe version and it sucks.
Zombieland is dirt cheap and it's a great fun game.
The behavior of the enemy is very strange, they don’t open fire, and they will run into a bullet, there is no difficulty, sights are visible and there is an indication of a hit. The complexity of life in the game - immerses in the game. Casual - gives you a quick weaning from the game, you stop appreciating your achievements and as a result you leave the game for a long time
Meh. Played virtua cop in the 90s already
Graphics looks like quest 2 ;) lol
Shooting the revolver (and I’m assuming a lot of handguns) looks really bad and weird.
Looks like they tried too hard to add recoil in a robotic way rather than a realistic smooth way.
However, the game overall looks way better than I thought it would. 👍🏻
Why do you have school girl uniform in your room?
Honestly a little disappointed… guess I’m sticking with Pavlov
Looks a little repetitive if I'm being honest but the kill animations look really good.
By your standard every game in existence is repetitive.
Every shooter is repetitive
@@kevskikane Yeah you’re right - I guess maybe linear was the word I was looking for. I made the comment before hearing Nathie’s wrap-up when he echoed a lot of my thoughts.
@@jonbarto9146 I must admit I like linear. I miss linear games. Linear games always give more action packed set pieces and there's less room for distraction. I'm someone who struggles with concentration and fed up with open worlds. But we shall find our fun in it somewhere
@@kevskikane lmfao “more action packed” and “less distraction” don’t go hand in hand
First!
NATHIEEEEE!!!!!!
honestly im not sure why more FPS shooters. godda be over 100 on VR now.
Because there is only a few on PSVR2.
@@gamingjay141 well then... that makes sense
Don’t trust these reviews, just like you all botched the initial reviews of PSVR2 prior release.
Learn to take cover bud lol
Hmm, graphics are not like in trailer
what a surprise!!! Another psvr 2 title that seems to over promise and under deliver.
That mustache is really creepy
Ai looks mentally challenged
1:27 drop fall AK magazine. dead game
They said a lpt about a story campaign but until this day we have no trailer or insight of what is the history. Im really cautions about this game. Crossfire studio has history of delivering bad games. games
yeah I was so excited but the 29.99 price is a bigger red flag than I think people realize.
@@wjveryzer7985 Thats what i thought. 30USD could mean not so much Content.
Also no melee?? No eye tracking!?? Im getting beyond frustrated now. All these games are just NOT what we were promised. Not utilizing the MAIN features of the headset, SUPER short, Missing features or bugs at launch IF they do (after delays ofcourse) Where the hell are these big aaa psvr2 games we were promised?
Re4 remake vr
Sorry but firewall ultra releases about 5 daya before this. Crossfire is already dead before it comes out. Also the story only being 1 player even though you have AI partners is just plain dumb. @3:07 the AI is smart it will duck and move, sniper across the map stays in the same spot even though he has already been shot once and instead of hiding just stands there waiting to be shot, yes really smart. Infact I never saw any signs of smart AI which is a shame.
I'm just glad there's going to be a decent military shooter for us single players too. Firewall has nothing for me but I really hope both of the games will do well
@3:55 "This is the type of game you play if you don't have that much time on your hands."
Thanks. I already knew that. It's why I'll pass.
Should have focused on making some real content instead of pretending hand waving is a good substitute for real content.
Just like Pressing buttons in flat games is not considered content. I'd like to know how "Manual Reloads" has become all the content a VR game ever needs suddenly?
That's like me saying, "you get to press A to Jump in this flat game, and that's why it's the coolest game ever!"
"You get to slap your controller together for reloads, and you get to look down and pass your hands through invisibile trigger boxes to enable the button on the controller! BEST GAME EVA!"
Or in other words. to bring it back down to someething digestible for the developer. What are the "Accessibility" options in this game? It can't be that good, because Sony deleted the F'ing d-pad off that motion controller, Depriving developers and end users like you and me of any kind of options to use it as a hotkey to bypass tedium.
BUT.... That still doesn't excuse making a "VR Only" Game instead of a hybrid one that can be played with motion or a gamepad.
Don't say it can't be done. Physical reality can provide these kind of options.
Virtual reality has Zero excuses. Other than bad controller designs.
You going to sit there and try to defend the Virtual Reality being more limited than Physical reality when it comes to "Accessibility"? Go for it.
Anyone who says Manual and Automatic Reloads is impossible, Needs to step aside and gtfo of the industry.\
Yeah... The deeper into the video I get to more trashy this game looks. Like you literally designed it around the "VR Only" Jank.
If this was a flat FPS game. It would be a huge joke.
I thougth this would be a good shooter, but this looks so arcade style ... That's not my cup of tea. Very disappointed ...
It's literally called arcade mode, What do you mean?
No PvP , no thanks....
@10:33 how do you call yourself an vr vet, when u think this is good 🤭 vr will not be taking serious if yall keep allowin devs to make weak arcadey shit.
Because you can't really make a "VR Only" Game like CoD. Motion controllers force them to have to do stupid shit like this to slow the game down.
Meanwhile, if I were to want any kind of Multiplayer only FPS game in VR. I want something with the speed and movement of Titanfall. Not this boring molasses crap that every VR Only game sufferes from.
Idk man this looks generic, clunky, and linear. VR is desperately waiting for a stand out multiplayer shooter that actually hits ALL the marks.
That won't ever happen with a "VR Only" shooter. It needs to be a Hybrid FPS game that supports Flat and VR. We need the industry to make a proper flat2vr controller design.
When the community Hypes up "Manual Reloads" as all the content a VR game ever needs, don't be surprised at how generic VR FPS games are.
Enjoy that reload.
@@nope1a4 I disagree, I think they are 2 very different mediums need to cater to what they each do best. There will absolutely be a great shooter in the next few years I just wish it was now!
@@TheWavys yeah I bet some of you said the same about re8. Notice re8 was able to provide accessibility beyond just manual reloads. The only interactions that don't have alternate accessibility options are things like the map....ie things that would have normally been binded to a dpad.
It's amazing what kind if options a game can have if the hardware allows it.
The only excuse any of you have is that you cry about balance of manual vs automatic.
Gtfover it already
Your ego is not more important than mainstream appeal.
the AI in this game looks dumb AF. pavlov bots are garbage. firewall bots were garbage. alyx AI was garbage. if the enemy doesnt take cover from gunfire, then its just a boring gallery shooter. i tthink this game will dissapoint many p[eople with how basic and boring it will be to play. shooting looks completely unengaging.
Very disappointing
