Yep Zuko had an amazing character growth. He was a total opposite of Aang. Aang though he didn't know what he was supposed to do but he was just trying to run away from it. Zuko on the other hand though that he knew what exactly he was supposed to do just to realise that he was wrong.
Zuko slowly changing was one of the best parts of the show. That and no matter how many times he messed up, Iroh was always there loving him and dreaming of the great person he knew Zuko could really become.

In the show it isnt. At all. There are more powerful fire benders with orange flame. The reason hers is blue is to show the perfect way she was raised. This means that there is zero soot in her flame, zero offgassing of combustion by-products, zero carbon monoxide... just perfection. Its not more powerful in context. Just more well made.
If I remember correctly the fire nations emperor actually isn't zukos father and he was born solely from his mother's side and her lover getting her pregnant before the emperor married her and that's why he showed no interest in zuko cuz he didn't consider him his son
Zuko could have been the greatest fire bender had he learned from the dragons from jump because the Fire Nation's hate and anger fueled way went against his gentle nature from the start. That in turn lead to all his problems with his bending and yes Zuko became a very angry person for a time but that all goes back to learning the wrong style of bending.
Honestly, the thing that makes this song so good for me is that you expect the fire, and then it also mixes it up with water, and I'm not just talking about the flow. If you're someone who says you didn't get a LITTLE bit emotional when Iroh was mentioned, you're fucking lying and need to go watch the series again right now. Honestly, I think Iroh deserves his own rap- He's GOAT level, both in the world of Avatar and outside of it, you know how there were a few weeks where everyone did their own take on Hisoka? I want that but with Iroh, because you could do so much with it, light-hearted and jokey, somber and tragic, badass and epic, peaceful and serene and even a mix up of all of that- Everyone gives credit to Iroh, but it still somehow isn't enough- Because in my honest opinion, Iroh carried the series from the background, balancing Zuko in the earlier half of the series, his lone wanderer phase, his talk with Toph, and his overall essence is just like the glue that holds everything together and makes it cohesive, because in a lot of ways, the whole story that we saw was simply a side-effect of Iroh's personal story, he was the true heir to the title of Fire Lord, he was the Dragon of the West, he got that name because people believed he killed the last of the dragons, when in reality it was his cover up for having trained with and learned from the dragons himself, and he was such an absolute bad ass that no one dared to mess with him, he was on top of the world and was going to take Ba Sing Se with no difficulty, because he was considered a one-man-army and prodigy on his own, but he was also an amazing general...and then he gave all that up when his son died, that's the only reason the Earth kingdom didn't fall, because Iroh didn't have the heart to fight anymore, the only reason Ozai became Fire Lord was because of some implied assassination of his father and/or trickery by telling Iroh that he wanted him to be lord instead and Iroh chose not to fight against him, the only reason Aang was ever awakened was because Iroh effectively quit the war, which left the Fire Nation, still as a threat of course, but almost as a shadow of it's former strength without him and without the strength or desire to bother with the (Southern?) Water Tribe, both because the tribe was too weak and because the nation had bigger things to worry about, and the only reason Zuko of course never went down the path of darkness like the rest of his family was because of Iroh- The man almost single-handedly directed the fate of the entire world without even trying or wanting to.
In my opinion avatar the last air bender was kinda slow at the start but then it really started kicking in. And avatar is not about the fights it’s about the story and I could tell that they knew they had a good story then then needed better fights and it would be a successful show
If i'm being honest I never saw why people say that Azula was a great villain. I mean her entire character was just evil then slowly becoming more and more crazy. The blue fire was cool as shit though
