      @sailing.supernova I think I remember some of those coconut trees (like the one leaning over the waterfront) 😂 from Plukky's youtube series. I never knew one could walk to the wrecked ferry !!!! Don't remember seeing the fence either !!!
      Plukky is famous ... or infamous 🙄 ... as the case may be ! He gave a lot of gear to the local folks as I recollect.

    This video totally lowered my blood pressure just seeing the beautiful waters and that last island where you had the beer and met the pooch, just heavenly.
    So good to see Coco getting better.
    I would love to see her at the end of each video to say goodbye till next time (I'm a big cat lover).
    Can't wait till she gets her surgery so she can really enjoy her beautiful little life you've given her. Thanks again!

    Coconut knows so much more than I do about Hurricane season. I am so happy you didn’t listen to me and sail South a month ago, that would have put you right in harm’s way. Slowing down to tend to Coconut’s medical needs kept Super Nova safe.
    Nobody expects a major hurricane in June. 😮
    You are doing great😊

    I don't know if you've ever seen any of Plukky's ("Sailing into Freedom") videos. He liked the San Blas islands so much that he ended up spending something like two years in the area. You mention him to any of the locals and they will all know him. San Blas became his home away from home for a while, but he's currently in China building an aluminium performance catamaran. A somewhat unusual character, but hey, he's another Aussie, what would you expect...

    • @sailing.supernova
      @sailing.supernova  6 місяців тому

    It's crazy that coconuts grow in sand and salt and they turn into such sweetness and a refreshing liquid and a shell as hard as a rock. 🤯 You named Coco appropriately! Also, good fences make good neighbors so the saying goes. Although, that fence is no bueno.

    A lot ppl put up wind generators but I’m fond of the hydro generator .. You just throw out the back when sailing so the wind generator is probably best used when at anchor.. The hydro will keep your batteries topped off when sailing also . That ole boat does sail pretty good .. 10 knots I reckon .

    • @sailing.supernova
      @sailing.supernova  6 місяців тому

      We are looking into hydro, it would be great for night time. But we still think we can fit an extra 1000 watts of solar on the boat.
      Yea Supernova can sail fast for an old boat, we have had her up to 13 knots, that wasn't fun as we are not good sailors haha it was more of a mistake haha

    Love you guys! Coconut is so lucky you found her. She's well loved & well tended. The Guna Yala is so beautiful. Thanks for bring us with you! It's a shame that the San Blas Ferry company left their ship to ruin the view of the islands. Not very responsible. Safe travels. ❤

    I have been binging on your videos since I found your channel. I know this is from an older video but I wanted to make sure that you found my comment. They make something called museum putty to fasten things baskets, décor, and plant pots down. I learned about it from someone travelling around in an RV. Unfortunately I don't know the brand he was using. It's really strong but still removable.
