Just saw the 300 SRT get its ass kicked by the Chevrolet SS. The 300 is slightly faster under a few conditions but overall the SS stomped on it for every thing that matter to a real driving fan. And it was about 10 grand less money too!
Larry Silveira u r completely wrong!, the 300 has a 6.3 v8 HEMI whereas the chevy has a 5 liter v8 which gives the 300 60 hp more and more torque as well!! it is definitely faster!(chevy 0-60 5.6s/300 4.7) Not to mention the interior build quality and materials that are miles better on the Chrysler!
Matias Petrali Naw your wrong SS has a 6.2L and 300 has a 6.4L. I don't know where you got those numbers I'm pretty sure you pulled them out your ass man.

Why was the picture quality so poor on this particular video?
I remember one time, a Scat Pack Dodge Charger got up beside me in this car and was taunting me and shit... Because he thought it was a regular Chrysler 300... When I beat his ass, he pulled into the same gas station as me and asked me "yo man, wtf do you got under the hood of that thing?" I said it was the Dodge 6.4 HEMI engine, same as yours... He was like awestruck. 😂.. dude couldn't shift worth a damn, because if he could've, he would've beaten me because the Scat Pack has the turbo charger and stuff that the Chrysler doesn't... I actually asked him why he kept upshifting so early, he didn't really have an answer... Must be new to the stick shift world.

The 2014 model has an 8 speed transmission... But a lot of people were reporting that it was going out before 85,000 miles.... Stick with previous years if you ever plan on buying a pre owned one.

Car And Driver said the 300 SRT8 shifts were extremely quick for any transmission, much less a HD 5 speed. Burning rubber to 60 mph in 4.4 seconds, running 12.80 @ 113 and change mph through the 1/4 mile, and topping out at 175 mph, I'd say this transmission is an excellent choice for this car. If you're looking for more gears and better fuel economy, you shouldn't be looking at a 470 HP 392 cubic in Hemi V8 300 SRT8 anyway lol. Even with it's 6.4L engine and the power it makes, along with the weight of the car and the awesome 5 speed transmission, this beast is still rated at an impressive 14/23 under the post 2007 EPA ratings that are a lot more strict in their testing procedures. Prior to 2007, this car would have been rated at 16/25. Anyway, I'll list the link of the specs and road test at the bottom of the comment. The heavy duty 5 speed auto with paddle shifters, and the ability to manually shift via the shifter as well, to go along with the 3.06 gearing and limited slip diff is perfect for a car like this. This is one of my favorite sedans.
