- Welcome to the NEW LIFE SMP! In episode 1 of New Life and this modded Minecraft series, we explore the modded Minecraft world to find a place to build my starter base. The base is an airplane base that flies. We take the Minecraft Create mod to the extreme once again and make a flying airplane and future airport base.

At some point Scar is going to slip up and film an episode of Hermitcraft with his aviator costume, and I for one will welcome it fondly.

I actually love the idea of an SMP full of wild superhuman/animal hybrid/cybernetically enhanced people building stuff and then having Scar just be a totally normal guy along for the ride :D

For a plane name, there's a famous plane that goes by the name of the Spruce Goose because it made entirely out of wood to save of weight and materials. Since your plane is made of of concrete, how about the Concrete Condor?
As an aviation "enjoyer", it warms my heart to see a model biplane being built in Minecraft that's realistic (for a block game at least)! Thank you Scar!!
Hey Scar, not sure if you've figured it out since filming this episode but Origins are randomly assigned when you first join and then each time you die. I'm unsure of what the key to see your current origin is (I think O), but if you ask any of the other server members I'm sure they'd be happy to help.
I'm thinking that the particle effect you had before your first death was related to your origin.

Yeah I also thought that the sparkles were part of his origin, the other 3 humans don't have any special effects like that. (Yes, I have been jumping around others perspectives, I was very excited to see scar upload a video on the server finally)
I think his first origin was enderian. He had particles that resembled an enderman and he hid under a block in rain. Once Scar knows hot to check his origin, we'll find out what his 2nd origin is hopefully.
@@tylermercado1445 i thought so too, except then he swam across a river which should have killed him if he was an enderian
I thought Enderian as well, but that was not likely considering he later ran in the rain and swam in the water. My second guess was starborne, but I wasn't sure because I think starbornes get some kind of potion effect during the day.

@@pixelraid5742 hmm i would think most the origins are pretty obviously different(either by size, tint, or amount of health) and we saw none of those reflected on scar's ingame character, we will see if he mentions it next episode or something i am sure
Scar is so wholesome. And I am all here for it. Lets just say that mumbo introduced me to hermicraft, Grian kept me interested, and Scar is the star of the most comedic interactions on any server. Love to see Svar reaching out and trying new stuff too! Good luck with all your adventures! 😀

Literally a second in and all I have to say is SCAR MUST BE PROTECTED AND/or given 10 times the normal amount of lives in any limited life scenario
You should consider using create trains instead of minecarts for your airplains. The trains move a lot smoother on turns and slopes, and they can be both manually and automatically controlled.
Bonus tip: With the trains system, you can make Jellie (mobs) ride the plains
I'm pretty sure that he's aware of the train mod. He plays on a create series with Tango, Bdubs, Zedaph, and Keralis and they connected everything with it. I'm not sure why he chooses regular Minecraft rails but I'm sure there's a reason. His base there was a moving train base and Jellie was driving it.
Scar I think you'll have to revisit this base concept once the create aeronautics addon gets released, because that addon deals with planes and airships in a MUCH more indepth way.
Also when the contraptions seem to bug and jitter around, do a quick chunk reload with F3 + a to fix that
There is also valkyrien skies clockwork which lets you make planes and airships using create, which is already released. But it's probably not in the pack. I think it's also running the previous version of create.

Man, once Valkyrien Skies Clockwork gets stable enough to use, or Create Aeronautics is released, Scar is gonna flip out in excitement. Actual interactable flying contraptions means he could spend a whole SMP without ever touching the ground.

I was so confused when I saw Scar during Fwhips Stream, but now I'm so excited to see what you'll do in this SMP!
One Suggestion I'd make, is using Train Tracks instead of Minecart Rails. They are a lot more expensive and require a Create Setup to make, but they have much nicer and gentler curves. You can even make "Train Stations" to allow the planes to land automatically on the runways! =D
He was on the Create Mod series with Zed, Keralis, Bdubs, and Tango so he knows about them
I’m so excited to see you in this series, Scar! I especially can’t wait to see ~*lore*~ opportunities with Owen! Just fyi, I think you probably have a new origin since you died, but I could be wrong. Also, the lunchpack just adds some extra inventory space to add food items, not new food items itself. Lastly, i think that floating structure you found early on isn’t a player build but rather a generated structure from one of the mods, though it is definitely very intimidating. Loved this episode, and the plane looks awesome! ❤

There is actually a create mod addon called valkyrien skies that's add s working planes, I think scar could do some really cool builds with it.

With how often Scar dies I feel like this'll be a quick series for him, but I'm very excited to see all the interactions he's gonna have in this series
The shadows come from the minecart and glass panes traveling through blocks such as leaves from the trees, you should make the propeller one of those windmills to make it more dynamic while flying! Great building as always!
Seeing as the glass panes WILL travel through blocks, I have an idea on how to get Scar's plane to dip down and up: just build a section of the plane's track that goes underground! Maybe the part where it lands has a single hole for the glass pane so it's not in shadows, but that way the plane can be on the ground when he wants to get on, then have it fly away when he takes off!

Hey Scar. Now that you're playing modded, I have to say that I would love to see your return to the Create series. From the recent weeks, Papa K and Zed are both picking up pace, and if you, Bdubs, and Tango (after finishing DO2) return to it, I can't even begin to imagine the mini games and shenanigans you'd be up to.

have to say, the particals are often a indicator that you do have a randomly assigned origin. I would check which key is assigned to checking the origin info to make sure!!
Cuz those particles are the same ones I get as a Enderman origin.

I saw purple particles and I thought "huh.. I don't think he knows he's not a human. But it looks like he has an origin of some sort, I don't think he understands what he's doing but that's Scar for you."
He was not an Enderman. you can see him jump into the water at 4:03 and stand in the rain many seconds later without taking any damage.
too tall for endermite (i think), too short for ender dragon - but then again, with custom origins like "transporter", he could really be anything

Use trains instead of minecarts for the planes, they are more reliable and look way better for turning and going up and down slopes. Trains also work on schedules and when unloaded.
To make them less vissable you can put the rails underground and do the same trick as you use (panes to connect to the plane) if I recall correctly.
I love your content and also love that you (and the other members of the smp)are doing more modded content. Keep it up

Hope you get the origins mod working. IDK why you were sparkling on your first life if you were human but since you died you should theoretically be able to choose a new one. Perhaps one that can fly or just doesn't take fall damage?

The plane idea is so cool! I'm not well versed enough in the create mod to suggest how your planes might land, but I'm sure someone out there has some ideas. I can't wait until the other players on New Life see your builds and are blown away like the rest of us.
At first I forgot New Life is separate from Grian's series, so I was like "Wait, they're doing something so soon after Limited Life?"
But now I'm just excited to see Scar in a modded series with Gem and the Empires folks. Will give it a full watch in a couple hours when my company is gone, but I'm super excited, Scar!
