Just egg is also available at Hannaford if anyone’s wondering. I just tried is recently, (the liquid version), and it’s my favorite!!! I was worried because I’ve tried the vegan egg in the past and think it’s great for baking, but definitely not something I like to use if I want to eat scrambled eggs. The Just Egg is perfect if you want to eat it by itself. It’s not super eggy tasting, but there is flavor and definitely is a major egg alternative. I could eat a whole bottle by myself and I love to coat home fries in while frying.
YAS! Love that tortellini, and I’m a big fan of the Rao’s roasted garlic sauce. I think it’s the sweetness from the onions and carrots that elevate it above all other pasta sauces. Definitely excited to try the frozen JustEgg. I agree the liquid version is okay but not out-of-this-world
The Violife epic mature cheddar is available in Canada through vegansupply.ca!! They have a bunch of the Violife products. Also, Rao’s pasta sauce is available on well.ca and naturamarket.ca!! Naturamarket.ca has their pastas too and they are delish!
I completely agree that the folded Just Egg is better than the bottle version, and of course I love that it’s frozen so there’s no need to have to worry about it going bad quickly. I love the VioLife cheddar slices, haven’t seen the block yet, but I’ll be looking for sure.
I love this idea for a series! HOW exciting. I love the folded just egg too. We made awesome breakfast sammies with them - using beyond meat breakfast sausage, just folded egg, spicy mayo, sliced daiya cheddar, on the vegan whole foods croissant!
I’ve never tried RAO’s, but I’ve always been all about Trader Joe’s marinara sauce. It basically has the same exact ingredients, and tastes just like the homemade marinara sauce my Italian great grandmother used to make (one of the reasons I originally hunted it down was because it didn’t have any sugar in it, which it seems like nearly all other store bought marinara sauce brands use).
I buy all of them at Whole Foods but haven’t tried the Rao’s which is a historic Italian Restaurant in Spanish Harlem which blocks from me. Whole Foods also has vegan fresh baked crossings😋
This was a super fun video. Just you with a camera cracking jokes, giving your unbiased opinion and just dramatically fangirling over vegan food has always been topnotch content, lol
LOVE this new series idea! Also love Kite Hill's mushroom and spinach raviolis! Just wish they weren't so expensive. I get them when they are on sale. My favorite vegan product - Miyoko's double cream garlic herb cheese. The best alternative to goat cheese!
I really appreciate you being aware of people not being able to get these things and you trying to say which stores carry them! When you do that, you absolutely don't need to apologise for going to whole foods. :) There are other videos for low cost meal prep
Ever since this came video out, I have been searching for the folded egg in Ottawa, Ontario. My daughter finally got some from Wal-mart. My 10 year old granddaughter loves them and has one every day, so will wait a bit longer to try but I am sure I will love it.
Um...YUM! JUST folded eggs are a winner for me and my SO. Also, we managed to find La Boulangerie croissant toast in Phoenix, AZ, so hopefully fans outside of CA can get their hands on it too! It’s deliciously good IMO. Thanks for the content!
Great video, Lauren! Those crackers look yummy...excellent combination of flavours! And, I hope we get the JUST Egg products in Toronto one day soon, especially that folded “egg”.
We just got into the Kite Hill pasta .. just for lunch today had leftovers of their mushroom as well as their spinach/kale (I think) raviolis and YES with the Rao’s sauce! YUUUUM! 😋
I’m sure you know this by now but the epic cheddar melts deliciously! It’s the new addition to my southern style butternut squash Mac & cheese! It elevates it sooo much!! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Can't wait for that cheese to come to Canada, I have not seen it yet! yes RAO's best sauce ever!! I am on the west coast of Canada Vancouver and they have sold it here for the past couple of years, but just recently they sell them in Costco in a two pack giant jar!!! Was so excited! I need to seed out our a local Walmart to find just egg!! I have not been able to find that and want to try it!! Thanks for your product approvals! Awesome idea!
Rao's is my families favorite marinara! I haven't seen the kitehill pasta yet but I'm on the east coast. So maybe soon! We love the folded Just Egg on a Whole Foods vegan croissants with vegan cheeze! So good!
I must try Rao's now! Always see people use it but just thought it was lazy, but actually good tasting! And we need those folded JUST eggs in Canada pls. Love this segment Lauren x
We've had violife in the UK for years!! I actually find it's a bit rubbery when it's melted, but that's the other varieties from them like the slices and the original block! The mature cheddar block is amazing! I haven't melted it either tho haha
You moving to the US makes me wanna cry still 😭 living in Niagara I always knew I could get the products you had before. But we just started to get Violife here!! That feta though!!
Even though I can’t buy these products where I life, I loved watching this video. I totally approve this series, thank you Lauren ! I hope you and all your loves ones are fine and I wish you the best in these crazy times.
I miss seeing you on screen! Love you, Lauren!! Btw, no matter how you say it, it’s fine! But it’s pronounced RAY-O’s...we know the family that owns the restaurant! BEST sauce ever. No reason to make your own with this around-and that’s saying a lot from a big Italian family that would never be caught dead eat jarred sauce! 🍝
If you live close to Grocery Outlet, the Violife cheese and other ones from that brand are about $2.50 (much more elsewhere). I thought I would share this because you can’t beat that price.
I can confirm that the mature cheddar block is great for melting!!! My boyfriend and I LOVE it (he's not vegan) and we've used it on pizza! It's out favorite, we even prefer it to the violife mozzarella!
We can always tell when it is Lauren approved. Fun video. Thank you. I hv none of those things in central boonieville WI but I have other things. Life is good.
@@hotforfood The one I got to is in San Diego, but there are plenty of outlets in the LA area. Hope you find it, grocery outlet has great deals and plenty of vegan options!
Vitalife is on point!!! Yum! Thanks for sharing your approved tasty vegan products. Shut up --> That croissant bread that's V E G AN ?!?!?! *On the hunt. LOL. Now I'm hangry. LOL. ❤️
Oh man!!! Those tortellinis are calling my name! I have not seen any vegan products yet in Toronto. I look pretty much every weekend at Loblaws... nothing! Hopefully they come soon.
Loblaw's has some new vegan products. Dips and stuff? Some commenters said Raos is at Costco and at most grocery stores too. Also don't forget you can use vegansupply.ca in Canada :D
My boyfriend is not vegan I’ve been vegan for 6 years but it’s so amazingly crazy how he’s in love with just egg and violife cheeze. He’s an executive chef at a fine dining restaurant here in San Diego and his passion to cook vegan meals it’s and amazing change
All great favorites. I believe the Rao's sauce is pronounced Ray O's. But I'm sure someone can correct me if I'm wrong. It is a restaurant and they also have soups, pasta's and frozen food items too. Not sure if they're vegan, but their brand is definitely expanding. That sauce is by far my favorite pasta sauce ever!
My fav out of your display is the Just Egg. It is amazing with Whole foods vegan croissants, Gardien sausage and melted vegan Chao cheese! Bam! My hubby likes Nuttin Ordinary Ravioli better than the one you showed. Have you tried it? My non vegan sister loves it.
I think it would be interesting to expand this series with guests from other countries for more variety of vegan products from around the world Interesting video 👍
I really thought you would just bite into the whole cheddar cheese block 😂🧀
HAAAA I wish I did that!
PERFECT SERIES! and i'm obsessed with that violife block too.
Can't wait to try. We NEED a convincing vegan cheddar
Favorite quick dinner: kite hill tortellini, rao’s arrabiata sauce, and beyond meat hot Italian sausage (original recipe) crumbled up in the sauce 🤤
So good!
Oh gawd. Thanks for the tip!
Yum! Thanks for the recipe!
Watching Lauren eat on screen never gets old 😍
😛😛🙋🏻♀️
I totally agree!! Such a treat.
Agreed about Rao’s! Sprouts has a delicious fresh vegan ravioli with a mushroom and creamy white bean filling. (They are by the hummus and booch).
Just egg is also available at Hannaford if anyone’s wondering. I just tried is recently, (the liquid version), and it’s my favorite!!! Shout out for Whole Foods croissants 🥐.😋
Yes the vegan ones taste just the same as non vegan ones!
I’m OBSESSED with the folded just egg. It’s way better than the liquid version. I eat it by itself as a snack

The parmesan Vio Life block is pretty amazing as well !
OH YUP! that and the feta and the block here are the BOMB!
I buy all of them at Whole Foods but haven’t tried the Rao’s which is a historic Italian Restaurant in Spanish Harlem which blocks from me. Whole Foods also has vegan fresh baked crossings😋

Those frozen eggs are life changing. I didn’t even miss eggs but now I’m obsessed - it makes such a good breakfast sandwich!

Sprinkle Kala Namak on top of the Just Egg patty... totally takes it to the next level of egginess! Addicted!
