I live on Long Island New York and the water you are in is about as rough as I paddle with my sit-in. This video has convinced me to get a homie 13 rev for fishing. Most of these fishing videos show peddle kayaks in calm water. Thanks for this great video.
I've had my revo 13 for years now. Been out in all types of water from the Great Lakes to off the jersey shore. Wouldn't do it on anything other than my revo 13 !!!
Yep, I have been out in mine in almost as rough water. Pretty stable. I do find that I have to be careful with waves coming from behind (a following sea) as they tend to push the bow into the back of the wave in front, and the kayak wants to yaw. But I am not sure how other kayaks would act in following seas - perhaps the same or worse. I love my Revo - fast and much stabler than many people think. Good video.
It looks very stable even with the waves crushing. I owned a Hobbie Compass and I’m thinking it would be better with a Revo 13 on my long fishing trips, specially coming back. Less effort and moving faster
You make it look easy but that was some good video of its capability for sure. Nice video! The Revo 13 was the first Hobie I ever tried, rented for a day a decade ago, old style seat. Great first impression overall, solid yak. My only complaint I still remember worth mentioning was the older model cup holder would rub my leg if I relaxed much. I would assume some difference with the CT Vantage seat?

Liked the vid. I have an outback but always wanted a revo 13.
Wow performed well In rough waters!
I’ve got one too. Handles great in chop and is surprisingly stable.

Flounders? Beautiful location!
You think the revo11 is as stable?
Without knowin it you start to balance with small wieght shifts.

Jajaja, big waves?? I deal with 7 feet waves minimum in Baja.
