- With the sneaker culture quickly changing - It's looking pretty bad for Nike. All top sneaker brands are releasing major designs this year, and it has the potential to leave the once dominating shoe and apparel company in the dust.

I've been loyal to New Balance since '96. Never bought Nikes, Vans, or Adidas.

Nikes got boring. Little to no innovation. You can only make so many color ways and collaborations. New Balance 1906r and 2002r, and ASICS gel NYC and some other models are crushing it. Even Reebok is dropping some great sneakers. I don’t have any Nikes on my shoe rack rn. 0!

I agree on some points but disagree on others, nike has been at a forefront of a sneaker renaissance. over the last 15 years nikes global market share has ballooned from 11% to 38.2% , and has remained consistent over the past 5 to 6 years. On the other hand, retro footwear trends are shifting from court styles (in which Nike currently leads) towards chunky dad shoes and terrace styles. Newer brands like ON and Hoka are quietly taking market share from nike when it comes to running shoes, and established brands like Adidas and New Balance are making waves in the dad shoe trend. However despite these new and established brands bleeding some market share from nike, It's retro sneakers remain a fashion uniform like for the example the retro 11s which to this day are a staple in most sneaker heads closets. Nike is feeling some pressure which is evident in their bringing prices down on many of their most popular styles, but it would take a monumental shift in trends for nike to lose any significant portion of it's market share, and that just not the portrait that the numbers are painting.

That is a good way to think about it. They are well connected with sports. But as far as sneakers, this year - they may have a good amount of competition
I feel like Nike is the absolute. No matter what happens with other brands it’ll die off eventually where as Dunks/Jordans/Air Maxes will never ever die. Yeezys came and went, NMDs came and went, New balance will come and go. For adidas the shell toes will always hit to me, But Checks over Stripes and everything in between
And I like it when the market pushes to other brands means I get Nikes slightly cheaper lol

lol. No click bait. I think Nike finally has a little competition for the to at least be alert about. Although Nike is the most dominant sneaker brand, the other competitors are on the rise fast this year.

Nike will always the industry leader. Unless something crazy happens. I’m not saying they have the best sneakers or the best quality. It’s the name Nike. It’s like Apple. Doesn’t matter that Samsung is coming out with better phone that do more. It’s in the name Apple.
I actually agree with the way you put it. No matter what, the name Nike will stand the test of time. It will always be a dominant force in the sneaker game. Just this year, they may have some very big competition.
