I remember when we called I-25 the Valley Highway! There were isolated towns along that road, but it wasn't completely housing all along the highway. It is amazing to see it today...It's really become 'L.A. along the Rockies!" Soon you will have housing from the Co-Wyo. line down all the way to the Co. N.M. line!
Great video surprised you did not call out the Glendale area and Virginia Villiage neighborhood. Krisana Park is amazing and there are lots of great starter homes and homes for those looking for Mid-Century Modern reno projects. I used to live over there and I am always going for drives to see whats new.

I considered a job in Lakewood, but even with salary of 100k plus housing is unaffordable for a family of 4. All the houses seem very large as well. 3000sqf seems the avg. Are there any new developments with smaller 1500-2500 sqf houses?

Just DONT! It’s expensive, horrible. I am living in Aurora and the apartment is awful and so expensive we couldn’t afford a house if we wanted to!

Incredible video guys! We're moving in November and are looking forward to exploring Denver. One question: we've read some concerning messages about crime and safety concerns in Denver. We're interested in Cherry Creek and Lo hi, would you consider it to be safe to eg. go for a run in the evening?
Crime vastly overrated but still be careful ...don't flash big cash...cherry creek isn't bad Lohi over priced and Yuppy...don't go to 5 points and avoid Lodo when bars close cause of drunks!!! Should check out western suburbs Arvada,Lakewood, Edgewater!!!

I am in the best neighborhood right off I-25 and 84th. It hasn't been gentrified and the homes are in the upper $400K range. I have a grocery store at the end of my street. There are fast food joints within 10 minute walking distance and a drug store. I have had no crime and have been in this area for 26 years. I grew up in Colorado in the Westside, prior to all these ridiculous new neighborhood names. Fortunately, most of us home owners aren't selling and many of us are friends like old neighbors used to be in the 70's. We have diversity here too. People like to call old Thornton ghetto but I can tell you the criminals are hitting the nicer newer neighborhoods, not ours. The locations mentioned on most dangerous list are Sheridan, Lone Tree, Lakewood (LakeHood) and Aurora. I only mentioned those nearer to Denver.
Yeah there's plenty of crime 84th and pecos...and not what it was...kinda ghetto....Arvada way better
@@DENVEROUTDOORMAN I am not on the West side of I-25. You are thinking of Federal Heights. I am in Thornton.
I grew up in old Thornton off 84th n wash and it definitely still has crime. I had multiple robberies on my vehicles, my home, there's a surprising amount of drugs. I lived within blocks of multiple homicides. I mean the walmart off grant made national news with a shooting. Dont kid yourself. Its the nicer end of working class

Also, if you’re trying to move into - or worse, build - anything bigger than a 2-3 bedroom, that’s just stupid excess. That McMansion crap is so gross and wasteful. Get control of your life.
save your mony and find a decent place to live denver is not it been here 35 years and it is turnig into a dump

Nope it's great...expensive but compared to other cities somewhat reasonable
People don't like having to pay extra for record numbers of migrants in a sanctuary city, before it was convenient to make that law. What is the tax impact on businesses and the locals? That's why denver is a live there for a few years and then bounce. Or just visit for a weekend getaway.
