I have lived in Colorado for just over 30 years and this list is spot on! These are definitely some of the gems that should be on anyone's Colorado bucket list. Thanks for another great video - Kirk
I enjoy this presentation. Great photography. Great voice over. I hate the videos where people try too hard to be funny. Great info, right to the point. Professional production. Thank you.

Oh yes, we agree! We have a whole video about Cave of the Winds and it's a fun destination for kids and adults. Great suggestions and thanks for watching!
I had been to 4 from your list last year in end of last May (Pikes Peak, Garden of the Gods, Red Rocks Amphitheater & Park, Royal Gorge Bridge & Train). The others on your list I am planning on future trip to Colorado, but I would add 7 Falls at Colorado Springs to bucket list as well.
Yay! Glad to hear that you've already visited some of these with plans to see more of them. Colorado is such a great state for bucket list items. Oh yes, Seven Falls is a fantastic addition and destination in Colorado Springs. Thanks for the suggestion!
Heck yeah, that sounds amazing! We went to Red Rocks earlier this year for the Piano Guys and it was an epic experience (even though it rained the whole concert lol).
I just got back from a loop through colorado... 1. Pikes peak 2. Shelf road form Cripple creek to Canon city to drive skyline drive 3. royal gulch 4. Independance pass 5 million dollar highyway from ouray to durango 6, swung wide to hit arches (yes I know not in Colorado) 7. Drove Mt. Evans/ Bluesky I'll be headed back next year to do the Alpine loop an Imogene pass.
I will be emigrating from Europe to the USA at the end of 2024. I've been thinking about it for a long time, especially regarding the process of my integration, as I would have it much "easier" in the coastal regions. I don't want to make it too easy for myself and want to learn the customs and language properly. Colorado comes first at the moment, of course I have to see where I can find work but I have already been able to make some contacts in Colorado, it doesn't look bad. I would be very happy if that works out.
GO FOR IT! Dive right on in! I think CO is a great place for international folks. Denver is a big enough city that you can find food or people that represent just about every corner of the globe. And the state of CO is big enough that you can easily escape into the mountains and forget there is a metropolis of 3mil people nearby. If you like being outside and really strive for a good work-life balance, then CO will be a perfect fit. Keep in mind tho, one of the biggest hurdles for anyone moving here is the elevation.
@@HashtagColoradoLife Thank you very much, I was also immediately impressed by Colorado, the mixture of big city and beautiful nature. Thank goodness I'm also used to the elevation, I spent my childhood in the mountains before I later moved to the urban jungle. I miss nature and mountains, which is why Colorado immediately came to the top of my list of favorite places in the USA. Hopefully we'll meet on the roads there later, keep your fingers crossed for me. 🤞🏻😁
So funny today a very close friend of mine . She was planning a tour for her few friends coming out of state… and I told her few places in Colorado to go and enjoy them…
Hi. Just want some tips, when is the best month to visit Colorado? Im planning to go there in April or maybe Sept / Oct. What do you reckon?@@HashtagColoradoLife
@@lukancheese Simply, there are no bad times to visit CO. Each season or month will net you a totally different experience. I think the months you have outlines are the best months to visit. Weather is just right and the season is changing so things are either in bloom / gaining their fall colors.
Oh yeah, with all the water at the Mount Princeton Hot Springs it can make you prone to that. These days though, I'm not sure cause the weather is so so dry lol
You ended by showing stock footage of the Maroon Bells but failed to mention them. Certainly should be on the bucket list - it's probably the most iconic Colorado photo op.
Dinosaur National Monument is well worth the visit, on the border with Utah. Telluride and Breckenridge are excellent ski towns to visit, as is Aspen. The Air Force Academy Chapel in Colorado Springs is a great place to visit too. I'm partial to the charm of Boulder.
The AFA Chapel has been under renovations for like 3 years now! Just this great big white cube-tent as of now. But everything you suggested is accurate.
Dinosaur is good. But early summer is cedar gnat season if you're near the high desert pinyon & juniper trees. Consider long pants, long sleeve shirt, and maybe have a head net.
Great suggestions! The Million Dollar Highway is a really awesome drive. The Collegiate Peak Scenic Byway is also a good one... hmmmm you gave me a good idea on a new video! TY!
HAHAHA ok yes I do think Casa Bonita is pretty worthy of this list. BUT! We haven't been there since before the pandemic and it acquired new management so can't speak to how it is currently. I do hear there are cliff divers and a gorilla that run about.
I love your videos. I just accepted a job offer and will be moving to Colorado this Summer. Is there any real estate companies you would recommend since you are a local and has a wealth of knowledge?
Thank you so much!! And grats on moving to Colorado this summer, how exciting! Yes, we are currently working with a real estate company (the same one we used five years ago) to sell our current home and upgrade to a new one. We have two recommendations: The Platinum Group or Kenney & Company. We have worked with both of them, as has some of our friends and colleagues. Great real estate agents to work with! Hope this helps.
Sept Oct is a REALLY good time of year for this. You could visit all these places in 3 days if you rush it. But to truly experience it all, I would guess 1 week minimum -- and that still might be rushed!
Totally worthy of being on this list! The list would be toooooooo looooong if we included everything worth seeing in CO. Also, Mt Evans is now named Mount Blue Sky.
if we had to choose between visiting the buena vista area or the glenwood springs area, which one would be better for a family of 4 with 2 girls ages 8 and 10?
Pretty even I think. Both towns are about the same size, have equal opportunity to get out into nature and have roughly the same sort of things to do / eat in each town. Oh and both have hot springs. I think it comes down to more what you want to do. Glenwood is a bit more relaxing as it's easy to just park at the hotel and walk everywhere in the city (defo stay at the Glenwood Hot Springs Lodge if you pick this place) and stay up later sitting in the hot springs. While Buena Vista is a bit more make-your-own-fun and getting out everyday.
Also depends on your budget, and if you prefer nature or "attractions". Buena Vista is more nature oriented. Glenwood has more "pay to enter" attractions. But, they're both great. I've lived here 35 years, been visiting for 50+. Midweek, Sunday afternoon thru Thursday, non-holiday, is always better.
I will be flying in to Denver for a week in Jun8-15. Can someone suggest what not to miss? I am happy to accept all sorts of suggestions …. On the routing…..
Few ideas that keep you pretty close to Denver: Try to see a show at Red Rocks amphitheater (or just go hike around there) Estes Park & Rocky Mnt Natl Park Zoo / Denver Art Museum / Denver Museum of Nature & Science Sloans Lake area is nice with some great places to eat and get outside
First half of June. Midweek. Weekends involve traffic and crowds. And mornings! Afternoons in May, June, and July can often include thunderstorms, whereas the early part of the day is generally gorgeous.
Honestly anytime is good. Each season will yield an entirely different experience. Just come prepared for the seasons and being outside appropriately dressed.
Define "best"? Smaller crowds and great weather are the norm in September after LD and first part of October. May, June, July, August, the first 8 hours of daylight (sunrise...) are usually gorgeous. But afternoons and evenings can be stormy. Get up early, midweek, and do whatever you have planned, especially during July (monsoon season).
so just to clarify, ppl are allowed to swim in the alpine lakes within the Rocky Mountains? I've been trying to do some research and i never see any photos with ppl swimming in the alpine lakes
I believe you can. I think it's just not something that the average person might want to do. Those lakes are COLD - even in the height of summer! I have an uncle that jumps into those alpine lakes.
@@HashtagColoradoLife thank you for that info - might have to rethink the urge to jump in ! we’re visiting in a few weeks and your videos helped our itinerary- thank you!
Picture at the end is nice. But wise not to include the Bells on a family-oriented list. They are dangerous climbs with loose rock and a lot of exposure. I did both back in the 1990s. Fun days, but I had had the necessary training to do them safely.@@HashtagColoradoLife

Santa's Work Shop is a great place and so is Cave of the Winds in Colorado Springs 😊
Oh yes, we agree! We have a whole video about Cave of the Winds and it's a fun destination for kids and adults. Great suggestions and thanks for watching!
A major bonus bowls in Telluride and Ouray 😵💫
This is good video presentation Im looking forward to.locating to Colorado someday.
Yay, thanks so much! Colorado is a wonderful place to live, hope you can get here soon.
Yes Mount Princeton hot springs was on the top … rafting in Purdue river in Fort Collins and Estes park .. and a trip from Nederland to caribou …
Fantastic, sounds like you've visited some awesome places in Colorado! Do you have any plans this year?
Cache Le Poudre is is correct name for this River .

Hey you missed the dragon man museum. Incredable !!!
Yes true
Great tip, thanks so much! We'll have to check it out.
The dragon man I met him personally what a beautiful machine shop he has I think he was a Jersey Boy

Red Rocks theater hosted Billy Graham in the mid 1960s. I know because I was there.

The Poudre canyon drive is gorgeous, NW of Ft. Collins...

Hike the Manitou Springs Incline!
Yes! Do this! And bring water.. and when you think you have enough, get some more!
You ended by showing stock footage of the Maroon Bells but failed to mention them. Certainly should be on the bucket list - it's probably the most iconic Colorado photo op.
Maroon Bells is 100% worthy of being on a bucket list. But it already is on so many other lists and so popular it didn't need mentioning.

The Royal Goege bridge costs so much. It used to be free when I was a kid.
Yes, it costs a lot more to visit the Royal Gorge Bridge than it used to unfortunately. But it's such an epic experience too!
Durango and Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad
100% a very awesome trip and especially so for those with kiddos.
