The song 'Hell is Forever' from episode one actually explains the plot of the show pretty well, so if you enjoyed this, I suggest you check that out next.
I love seeing people who have no context of the show react to the songs. "Stayed Gone" is one of my favorites. I think "Hell's Greatest Dad" and "Poison" would be fun ones for you to react without giving away too many spoilers. It is an adult animation that is set in Hell, and yes, it's a musical. It follows the princess of hell trying to rehabilitate sinners to save them from exterminations. There is the pilot episode of UA-cam and then the Amazon series for the first season. The Vees is Vox's industry with his partners (the ones he hugs during the scene "Who gives a sh*t!"). Also love you you break down and look into the lyrics. I'll keep an eye out if you make any more for Hazbin Hotel. Loved it!
The show takes place in hell and those guys doing that music battle are overlords. Overlords are sinners that buy souls from other sinners and they become powerful people. The "Vees" are those guys Vox hugs on the song. They have a tower called "V Tower" because their names starts with the V letter. They are overlords too though. I suggest you to listen to "Hell is forever" next. It gaves more context on the world and the Hazbin hotel lore.
Each episodes has two songs, humming the gamut of genres. This one here is "electro swing". Nearly every voice actor has legitimate Broadway careers. G would recommend "hell's greatest dad" as a nice, fun one to react to.
You can firstly watch these music videos. But for the show itself you can start with Hazbin Hotel pilot and Addict music video in UA-cam and then Amazon series
"Sinner's rejoice" not "sing and rejoice". It takes place in hell, all the demons are human souls who's died and gone to hell. They are referred to as sinners
Vox had seven years to make alliances and progress society to the point where he might stand up to that overpowered Wendigo. But he panicked and overplayed his hand. The plot of this show progresses very fast, in just a few seconds you learn: Not only did Alistair understand how to undermine him politically, and had a full understanding of technical aspects of modern broadcasting, he gained independence from the power grid. Then he projects his own image into his rivals security monitors.
If you are very interested and feel about the song lyrics, then you should definitely watch the Addict MV (not canon at the moment, but it generally on the setting of the show and gives enough to imagine the characters featured in the video) and also should watch Poison Lyrics video (exactly the video with the song lyrics, because anything with footage from the show may have spoilers).
ua-cam.com/video/2MQp8PEy5jU/v-deo.htmlsi=29Q1keniicDCRs_E For someone reason I couldn't find another link to Poison lyrics mv, so this is it, and the video on Addict is given out by the request hazbin hotel addict
Great reaction! Given your thoughts on this, I think you'd really enjoy the full series. Definitely I would recommend watching in full. You're missing out on a fantastic story by just cherry-picking the songs, and there are 2 songs every episode, so it almost feels pointless to skip the parts in between. If you are just going to pick a couple of songs, then they're all going to be spoiler-laden since the songs are there to advance the story, as you said, like a musical, but if you don't mind spoilers then "Poison" is maybe the hardest hitter. It's animated, but very much for adults, and the characters have emotional depth that might surprise you on first glance. There are only 8 episodes in season 1, but they do a lot with the time, and have a seriously stacked cast full of Broadway and voice talent (and 8 episodes means 16 songs, which is WILD). Season 2 is on the way! :D Not to be the unsolicited recc guy, and I know it's a little out of left field, but I enjoyed your reaction, so I'm selfishly going to point you at another bit of music I'd love to see you react to 😆 What you said about lyrics at the top of the video, about them being kind of a poetic puzzle, made me think you might really get a kick out of Hozier, that is if he's somehow not on your radar yet, which is unlikely, but throwing it out there just in case you're unfamiliar. His lyrics are so good. If you've heard anything of his it's probably "Take Me To Church" which is a great song, but lyrically he has better ones imo. Although it's not his most well known, my recommendation would be "The Angel of Small Death and the Codeine Scene". Or for some great evocative imagery "NFWMB", "Shrike", or "In The Woods Somewhere". Anyway, that's my recommendation that nobody asked for. I hope you decide to continue watching Hazbin Hotel, it's such a great show!
If you’re going to watch the show, don’t watch the music videos for Out For Love, You Didn’t Know, or Finale. They contain major spoilers. But for real, watch the show! The pilot is on UA-cam and the rest is on Prime! The plot line is Hell is overpopulated, so in an attempt to humanely reduce the population, the daughter of Lucifer attempts to reform and “redeem” sinners to get them into Heaven.
12:35 "Powerless without the other Vees" There are three Vees, which are basically media based characters, just liek Alastor represents Radio as a medium: Vox (TV in general), Violet (Fashion and Instagram) and Valentino (adult entertainment). "Powerless without the other Vees" in that context suggests that Vox, as the generic TV guy, would have far less power without the other two creating the actual content that runs on TV for him.
Purports- claims to be The other Vs- Valentino and Velvette, two allied overlords. Val runs the porn industry, Velvette does the strategy and social media.

It's extremely short. One pilot on UA-cam and 8 episodes. @@GimmicklessReactions
There are a lot of people that did reactions to Hazbin Hotel
Every voice actor in this show is a Broadway singer/actor.

You should for sure react to "Happy Day in Hell" and "Hell is Forever," both of which are from the first episode of Hazbin Hotel.
She show is about the Princess of Hell trying to redeem sinner demons (aka human souls who have died and gone to Hell.)
