A big thumbs up to any Ivor Cummins or Dave Feldman videos. It took 2 engineers looking at things from a different perspective to turn the world of understanding cholesterol on its head. The medical world has been myopic on this for too long.

i've been on Keto (28 carbs/day) + 22 hr fast 3x/week for 4 months. Just took the 1minute test (twice) - HR - 146, 148 for 15 minutes dropped 40 and 39 in 1 min. BP has dropped from 139/80 to 109/69; A1c - 5.6; insulin 6.0 (no "before" data but glucose pre diabetic); LDL -103, HDL - 42, Tg - 69 (currently on statin but will quit): BMI dropped from 29 to 24; weight is now down 20 lbs; CAC score - 0, 0, 0, 83. I'm 79! - going to book my 100 yr birthday party!! THANK YOU and your and other youtube posters for your good work.

I can’t wait to see my doctor the end of the month and tell him about the new AHA guidelines for a CAC score. I tried to educate him 6 months ago, but he blew me off.

ivor left out a few key points about the so called benefits of taking a statin and I think gave it much more credit than what it deserves. Be that what it may, what he did not mention was that stopping the progression of calcification is nearly like having a zero score in terms of risk and with that there is no benefit to taking a statin.

My cholesterol is 306, HDL 51, triglycerides 96. My doctor is classifying me as Familial hypercholesterolemia . I am not on meds. Does high cholesterol automatically denote this genetic case. My CAC is 4. VLDL 19. LDL 236, non HDL 255. I have a recent NMR I am still having a classification of the smaller LDL. My cholesterol has always been a bit high 214 but much higher on keto for 18 mos.

    Tell me if I'm wrong.
    The "winner"
    TC 200
    HDL 72
    LDL 110
    Try 60
    Fantastic ratios, Bulletproof the guy!
And the two others on the podium have no reason to be jalous.
Are they statinated (which could explain the good results) but still hyperinsulinemic,
or does it means that literature on ratios is nothing but crap ?

Love all you have done. Have been following you through Diet Doctor and video I recently watched with Patrick Theut and wonder if it is ok to take all those vitamin supplements when you are intermittent fasting. I got a calcium scan because of you (and my husbands Irish heritage😂)
I am a retired nurse and I so believe in all you are doing. Keep on keeping on because people are starting to listen. Wish I was younger but lucky to be 74😂. God Bless you!

The problem locally is you can't get a Calicium score without a doctor's referral. They only cost $75 to $150. But you have to have a doctor and that doctor must refer you. You can't just pay for it and take the test. I don't have a doctor and of course to get one I have make and pay for an appointment et cetera.

I made an appointment myself without a doctor referral, paid with a credit card out of pocket without any mention of insurance. Cost me $69: myheartscan.com/

Question: I've major family history CAD, had a heart attack last year at 56, 2 stents placed. Now, am considering a CT Scan to get a baseline to see if the LCHF lifestyle I've FULLY gotten on board with (wish I'd been woke 20 yrs ago) is having any impact on calcification & cardio health.
Does it make sense to get CT Scan AT THIS POINT post heart attack/CAD? My cardiologist is reluctant, false positives, one thing leads to another, yada yada. And then I read lots of stuff arguing against CT Scans, such as this: www.center4research.org/heart-ct-scans-new-heart-disease-test-may-cause-cancer/

    Mr Cummins,
Is the amount of radiation similar to that of a mammogram? I heard that CT scans have as much radiation as 100 xrays. Is this true? Thank you so much!

    Great lecture
Dr Cummins though, needs to stop saying “right” after every second sentence
We may or may not get what he is saying but saying “right” does not help comprehension
