- Hey everyone, welcome to part 3 of the Stardew Valley nomad challenge! This challenge has a simple set of rules: no farming, fishing, mining, combat, cooking, pretty much everything is off limits here. We're gonna have to get resourceful if we want to survive Stardew Valley!

If you really think about it, the entire farm's underground is basically infested with a infinite network of truffle mycelium.
WTF did grandpa do to the soil???
since theres basically truffles everywhere technically we should be able to dig a hole anywhere and find a truffle ourselves

75 seems too low i think its 85-90 unless im crazy seeing it never lands on orange

I had it land on orange 4x in a row. Luckily I do well in the fishing game...

So that last bit about finishing the challenge was a lie
tip for the future to make this go faster: if you befriend caroline, she will teach you the recipe for tea saplings. these are made with any foragable seeds, wood, and fiber. selling the saplings outright goes for 500 a sapling, and you can seed cycle to make even more money. I managed to make almost 50k in my first spring doing this method.
It’s so stupid the amount of money it makes, I’ve made at least 400K in my first winter, and the hardest part was tolerating Caroline enough to get 2 hearts
He was doing that in the last episode but said he hates her so much he’s putting it on the back burner lmao
iirc he tried and it was a pain to befriend her so he gave up lol
he did try to befriend her on the first part but then he decided she's too much work lmao
Dude I have full hearts with Caroline but not this recipe
Don't forget to buy a heater for your pigs. :)
Pigs are the only animal where the heater doesnt matter. The heater increases mood (and then only after 6pm if the farmer is awake) which helps determine product quality from the animals. Truffles are forage, not animal products, so once he hits foraging 10 they'll all be iridium quality all the time.
@@haleyp898 oh snap! i just assumed the pigs wouldn't dig for truffels, so they just wouldn't spawn. But that is not the case?
@@AgentSteffi as far as I'm aware, the higher your pigs hearts are, the more truffles they're likely to dig up, so it actually is really important to keep their hearts up during the winter.

@@vvetapop I thought the heater had helped keep the animals hearts up and not go down from being cold, that’s how I thought it worked before anyways.
It is my understanding that the wheel game lands on green twice as often as the other, so I always go for green as well

I just found out that you can put mushrooms in seed makers to get the foraging seeds 🤷♂️
You can also put the winter roots (orange foragable) in the seed maker to get winter seeds
Works with spice berries too

Piggies need 10 day to mature and they might have babies during the winter, if you have a heater. So by the time they can truffle hunt, you might have more than three. More piggies, more better?

I always thought the seeds are worth less than the forage tho?
that's only the case for the winter seeds! so for all seasonal forage except winter, you'll earn more by turning them into seeds. (I'd look up how much more but it's midnight and i'm tired)
This confused me too at first. The reason why seeds are better is you get 10 of them in each craft. Blackberry(20g)+Common Mushroom(40g)+Hazelnut(90g)+Wild Plum(80g)=230g, which makes 10xFall Seeds(45g)=450g
