A very practical executive estate car from Mercedes-Benz which offers plenty of space in the rear. This E220d features Mecedes-Benz all new 2.0-litre 4 cylinder diesel engine which develops 191bhp, and also features the new nine speed automatic transmission.

The fake exhaust tips are very awful in my opinion. Mercedes is not faulty, it seems to be a stylish requirement today.
For me, it's just a permanent make up to hide something I would like to see!

Hi, i have one of these great cars. I too was surprised that there was no spare wherl. The car comes with Run Flat tyres, so no need. When i came to replace the tyres i went for standard tyres and bought a security wheel. Its a great car and very economical.

The revs would be quite a lot lower if you put it back down from sport+. At 100 km/h you were still in 5th and at 120 km/h in 6th. No need to faff about with the paddles to get it to 9th.

I think car manufacturers not giving a spare wheel with cars nowadays is a step in the wrong direction. If you had a freak blowout on the motorway that little bottle of stuff for a puncture would be completely useless.

I have to say I think some of the fake exhaust tips look ok. I had an ST Mondeo TDCI a few years ago and it had a fake tip on the back box that stuck out of the lower at the back. When the exhaust needed changed i found Ford had discontinued the exhaust and I had to have a custom one made with a tail piece to fill the cut out in the rear bumpers lower valance otherwise a big gap would look stupid with a standard exhaust.

Spare situation , Mines got Run Flats ,so No Problem.
I dont recall my vehicle being that loud, why is the video making engine noise so loud?
Could take the air out of the space saver to allow it to fit if you really wanted a spare, and inflate with the 12v air pump if needed
Recently subbed and loving your content! Personally I hate fake exhaust tips. Would it be so much more expensive to have genuine tips that shape? I followed an suv the other day with huge fake tips and you could see a piddly real exhaust sticking down underneath. Looked so silly in my opinion.

Good review, I bought one and I don't like the exhausts either but otherwise a very sedate drive. The RPM at 120kph in 9th gear is however approx 1300 not 1700 as stated, not sure how u got that figure:/

The car doesn't have airmatic right? So comfort mode doesn't make the ride smoother as you erroneously state?
