    Most of the information mentioned in the video is incorrect:
    - Only 40% of the pillars work is done and in some places it hasn’t even started.
    - The journalist missed mentioning the names of multiple stations, some really important ones.
    - The fare by cab aggregators is no where near INR 600, at peak hours it can go upto INR 2000 just to the city center.
    However, credit to BMRCL, the entire blue line work is going at a above average pace.

      I assume they meant it would cost atleast 600(if you live closer to the airport), but I don't think I have ever gotten an airport cab that costs less than 1k.

    Vayu vajra fares are affordable to anyone who can afford a plane ticket and the service is convenient. I don't think BMTC is making a profit from this service yet. Also, we cannot expect a economically viable world class airport to be built within city limits, that too in a metro like Blore

    • @tushar4evr776
      @tushar4evr776 Рік тому +8

      It's the same with every city. All the new airports are being built outside the city premises. I don't buy the argument that it's too far from the city. Maybe 10 kms towards the city would have been desirable but it's fine. All Bangalore needs is metro and/or trains to the Airport. It will save time and money. Bus is also good but the problem is traffic.

    • @Prasad-iy7fw
      @Prasad-iy7fw Рік тому

      Agree completely. Also, the airport cannot be closer due to several high rise projects along the way. Unfortunately, the hebbal-yelahanka line also has an elevated flyover which makes this redundant. It would have been good (and faster) if the metro could have been routed near Reva university/Hegde nagara from Nagawara. But as usual, a huge population will not have easy access to the metro. :(

    Give the metro contruction contract to a private credible company like LnT, they have done a great job in Delhi. Namma metro construction is notorious for being too slow. World class companies like LnT will do a much better and quicker job of rapid and quality metro construction.

    It seems the Indian railway will finish its construction by 2024. Already they have electrified all its network. doubling also completed at some stretches.
    Baiyapanahalli to Helalige {electronic city phase 2 extension} is already functional with suburbans. Once double line work completes this will reduce travel time to marathalli from electronic city by 1-2 hours. It hardly takes 20 min by train for now on single line route.

      I know it’s unfortunate that 100s of cab drivers will be out of jobs, but the metro will reduce the traffic on the roads. There will be less pollution, less heat on the roads. Metro will be faster and cheaper for everyone.
      Just because it is reducing a certain type of job can not justify the reason for not building it.
      There are several other ways to make a living in a city like Bangalore.

Fare price ka chakkar me they will show up in airport before 3/4 hour some even miss the flight unlike the other countries flight service indian flight service will throw u out instead of rearrange flight if u asked more question they will call the police and escort u out and those police didn't work for well being they also knew if they scout the person out Mr/Mrs xyz has no right to claim or refund. As more than half of indian are middle class family if they miss the flight they can't effort another flight ticket at that moment . we should focus on time management more an these will help us . Cab fare and bus fare will obviously decrease if metro was fully serviced through airport .

Who the hell will carry luggage to KSR bengaluru/Yeshwanthpur, board the airport train, get down, again carry luggage to shuttle bus, again get down and push luggage to the airport? They didn't think of constructing a branch line from existng bengaluru chikballapur line to airport via an underground line. Imagine how amazing that would be...They would have been able to introduce AC local trains like Mumbai to and fro bengaluru city with frequency of 10 to 15 minutes and price could be just around 80 to 100rs and reach city centre within 25 minutes. Couple this with another lower level metro system and pretty much no more complaints. Cabs would almost completely lose their businesses and we would have an airport as efficient as Zurich airport.

      Exactly. Here in Hyderabad, Airport is Far away from the city and Volvo Buses have cost 260 which is obviously cheaper option compared to cab which charges a person 500-700 depending upon the time. Sometimes it shots up suddenly.

      260 for 45 Kilometre is 5 Rs per kilometre
      Flight Delhi which is 1700 Km by air costs less than 7K
