The first action camera we got was the Insta360 per suggestion from a friend. We have not used it because it is too complicated to use/download/etc. The idea seems awesome…and we’ve decided the same thing you said-maybe on special occasions and a short clip. Places no one really strives to go to are the best.
Coming from Chicago and riding motorcycles. i used to hate that there weren't any mountains or oceans or hills.
Rode all around the state and eventually fell in love with the endless cornfields. Green lush patches of forests, small towns that no one visits.
Then you hit spots like bellevue with quiet scenic outlooks and can't help but relax

Mr. Robert, I've said this before but your enthusiasm for the little fun things in life is just a sparkle to my viewing life. I've got my husband hooked on ur stuff too, I will have it on the tv and he will say "where are we going with Robert today." We bust out laughing at all the funny things you say...and I have adapted your "oh well" chillaxing way of accepting life's lil mussups and it's so often that it was meant to be and leads to better things. Serendipity. I had to explain to my Mr. today he likes IPA, his dark coffee jolt in the afternoon, he likes to eat "Hamburgs" lol as my Yankee husband calls em! And he makes veggie heavy delicious fry ups he makes and he takes long hikes to stay fit. I'm thinking of the IPA hiking diet for us! LOL...Beware if I ever see you at the Tallahassee Home Depot I'm gonna flip out LOL and probably embarrass Mrs. Ellie by yelling halfway across the store Hey Mr. Robert!!

If you go to Northeastern Iowa, try seeing both Clermont and Elkader. Historic places. In Elkader, I recommend Deer Creek Resort which we stayed at a few years ago and highly enjoyed.

I hope you were able to visit Galena, IL. A short 25 minute drive from Dubuque. Lots of history and home to US Grant prior to the Civil War.
I really enjoy the small town America scene more than large cities.
the American Lady has cruises on the river. They have dinner or sightseeing.
I also recommend well in the Northeast you got a new Canaan Connecticut and go to the New Canaan Diner
was expecting a lot of interior clips like stocking the fridge, the pantry, the bedding, clothing, bathroom items etc for the trip; and interior clips showing what you did for the evening, preparing for bed, reading in bed, waking up in bed, the sunrise out your window, making breakfast, using bathroom for shaving etc, people want to see/know what its like living IN the trailer eh
Yeah, that's not what I normally do.
The insta360 on the invisible selfie stick would probably be a good choice for walking around some of those areas where you want a little bit of altitude but can't use the drone,

I think the 360 is great but not for panning. I remember you take your camera in car and point it out the window if you see something in either side of you. You could eliminate that hazard and just move the shot from the 360 camera (in post) to the left or right and edit it that way. Sort of like having 4 different cameras on the trailer pointing N S E W. Either way, I’m a long time subscriber and will always like your videos!

What made you decide to go to Dubuque? We live in Omaha, Nebraska. You really need to keep going out west. I am very familiar with the drive to northern Indiana. The Mississippi picks up a lot of mud from the Missouri river which comes in north of St. Louis.
I imagine it picks up a lot from the Ohio as well, comes in south of St. Louis. The Ohio River is extremely brown.
Definitely go to the Thomas Edison home and Cedar Park. You won't regret it.

Congrats on Minitinni III! You are probably the most experienced at towing a travel trailer than anyone, but we still hope the increase in size will not deliver you and the Colorado any white knuckle experiences. 👍

@@TravelingRobert Sounds like it would be a real problem in the mountains. My first tuck and trailer ( a 2007 F150 V8 and a 2010 Windjammer 21' did not like going cross county west against the winds and up the mountains. After our first trip in that direction we bought a lease return 2008 Ram 3500 Diesel and have gone cross country 6 or 7 times with no problems.
