15:35 "play with the oil pan". Omg I'm so dead watching this shade tree r&r 🤣 All you have to do is remove the subframe to get full access to the pan, then align the thing when the gasket replacement is complete.
The two bolts at the rear (19:30 mark) should only be hand tight. If you use a ratchet to tighten them the long bolts won’t pull the oil Pan up good enough and you will likely have another oil leak soon. Everyone uses these bolts to hold up the pan, which is a good idea, but you need play to get a good seal on the oil Pan. This is a really informative video. Thanks for sharing, nice work.

I have to change my damaged oil pan , This video showed me im in For a long run . Im nervous,wanna talk to a mechanic about a quota , How much would you say the job would cost?
@@dremur6929 It's hard for me to know the price. This was done a few years ago. In my country everything is expensive because of taxes. So my price estimate won't be right for you either
Drop the cradle down guys, just so that the nut is still on by 3-4 threads, instead of forcing/breaking things. Also less chance of messing up the cowl or stretching harnesses.
Not sure how we got the oil pan out without lowering the sub frame like he says? I had my sub frame wedged down on all four corners to the last thread of the bolt, I also had the engine lifted up as high as it would go and the oil pan would still not come out after over an hour of fighting with it. If he could get it out without lowering the sub frame, that extra inch and a half that I gained from lowering the sub frame that oil pan should have fell out?

Did you have to lower the cradle a bit to get oil pan off? Or did you just jack motor up? Or both?

How long did the total job take? Where is this mechanic located?
