    The dof is completely optional and you can also change the strength of it so that it's barely noticeable or very strong. It defaults to off anyways so why do you have it on? I never would actually play the game or drive with it on either. The point of the video was to highlight the car though. The dof does not blue the car in the video either, only the the background.

    RFactor 2 is still having its core systems being built as well, and it was already AMAZING (albeit with its own set of flaws) about a full year (11 months) ago, when the public beta (more like an alpha) was first released.
    We'll see though. PCars is getting better, but it still doesnt have that almost "industrial" like vehicle dynamics model that RFactor 2, Netkar Pro, Game Stock Car 2012, and some mods for RF1 have. (and Assetto Corsa aswell judging from some videos).
    Still feels too gameish

    the physics model is overly simplified, when driving on the limit of grip and close to it, every single car requires very specific forms of technique. I never said a game that is more difficult is easier, but in PCars it is way to easy, but it is getting better, the car is doing "more things" with the new tyre model, physics feel less simple and video game-ish as before, but still nowhere near the sims I mentioned above

    Do your thoughts even make sense to you?
    As for the physics model, it's called a work in progress. Ever build anything yourself? Was it finished the minute you started it?
    Oh, wait! You're acknowledging that pcars is getting better? Think what another year of development might bring.
    Maybe, once work has progressed far enough, you'll join the project and we can all benefit from your insightful analysis:"the car is doing more things" lol

    Go drive Game Stock Car 2012, Netkar Pro and RFactor 2. then you will understand.

    DOF should be used to make far away objects and scenery..look..well... far away, and not as a way of just blurring the entire fucking image as a way of softening the image in order to hide jaggies and other graphics inconsistencies. Totally overdone, I feel hammered watching and playing Pcars.
    I know Assetto Corsa has it too, and on most pics, although it looks beautiful, the DOF itself does look horribly overdone too. DOF/blurring hides jaggies, and lowered details when in the distance.

    It's custom and OPTIONAL DOF. You guys find the dumbest things to hate on. You can turn it completely off. Assetto Corsa also has dof you idiot. I'm not even a fan of how pcars drives now so don't assume things either.

    goddamn can you say COMPLETELY OVERDONE BLURRING? Feel like im drunk watching that shit. Ill stick to games that reward proper driving skill aka rFactor 2 and Assetto Corsa.
