how do u use flashback with Trackir? pressing F12 becomes centering trackir instead

Track IR in a flightsim is incredible. A10 for example. Track IR is used constantly for looking around and if you're in a dogfight it is essential.

I think what this video shows is that the excellent track-ir is pointless for fast driving. Throughout the video the driver's head is looking straight forward. The only time the track ir is used is before the driving begins! The only use it would have is when going round a corner but as we see in the video the driving is so fast that the driver doesn't have any use for looking towards the corner. I notice that F1 2011 supports it... that could be interesting but again probably of little use.

RFactor 2 is still having its core systems being built as well, and it was already AMAZING (albeit with its own set of flaws) about a full year (11 months) ago, when the public beta (more like an alpha) was first released. We'll see though. PCars is getting better, but it still doesnt have that almost "industrial" like vehicle dynamics model that RFactor 2, Netkar Pro, Game Stock Car 2012, and some mods for RF1 have. (and Assetto Corsa aswell judging from some videos). Still feels too gameish

When you do a season and a half of F2000 racing across canada and the U.S., when you do schools at skip barber and derek daily in F1600s and F2000s, when you participate in karting across Canada, U.S. and Italy, then come talk to me. the physics model is overly simplified, when driving on the limit of grip and close to it, every single car requires very specific forms of technique. I never said a game that is more difficult is easier, but in PCars it is way to easy, but it is getting better, the car is doing "more things" with the new tyre model, physics feel less simple and video game-ish as before, but still nowhere near the sims I mentioned above

Go drive Game Stock Car 2012, Netkar Pro and RFactor 2. then you will understand.

The dof is completely optional and you can also change the strength of it so that it's barely noticeable or very strong. It defaults to off anyways so why do you have it on? I never would actually play the game or drive with it on either. The point of the video was to highlight the car though. The dof does not blue the car in the video either, only the the background.

DOF should be used to make far away objects and scenery..look..well... far away, and not as a way of just blurring the entire fucking image as a way of softening the image in order to hide jaggies and other graphics inconsistencies. Totally overdone, I feel hammered watching and playing Pcars. I know Assetto Corsa has it too, and on most pics, although it looks beautiful, the DOF itself does look horribly overdone too. DOF/blurring hides jaggies, and lowered details when in the distance.

It's custom and OPTIONAL DOF. You guys find the dumbest things to hate on. You can turn it completely off. Assetto Corsa also has dof you idiot. I'm not even a fan of how pcars drives now so don't assume things either.

It's funny how I can drive really easily without assists and at hardest difficulty in open wheel driving games, but I just suck at gravel racing. Oh and really nice driving there :)
