- And we proceed with our detours around #Llanview in our trip down #SoapOperaMemoryLane. We are gonna put aside the Jill Farren Phelps era for now and move on to the Paul Rauch/#TourofLlanview days. For a little while, we're gonna go on a spree of #Marathons. This is the first out of the few. We're going back to the 80s beginning with what we have here from the 14th through the 22nd of January of 1986.

I was so thrilled to find this! I was a huge fan of Bo and Didi back in the day. Was really happy to see these episodes again except sadly the scene of Didi getting her bandages off and seeing Bo isn't included. That scene made such an impression on young me!
I can't bring myself to watch the videos of Bo and Didi (SPOILER ALERT) being held prisoner by Lord Henry, Patrick London (faux Bo), Elizabeth Sanders, and their pack of goons, knowing how it ends.
Poor Didi ended up getting killed trying to save Bo from evil and crazy Patrick, which she did, but at the expense of her own life. It sickens me to know that Patrick was allowed one small victory by claiming the life of at least one Buchanan, even though he ended up dying himself in one last attempt to keep on his charade as Bo (by killing the real Bo and Didi).
I always believed Didi was the love of Bo's life, and even though he did find love again, first with Sarah and then with Nora, nothing will change that he and Didi had that special chemistry.
@@BethHarmon-uv7tl I am still traumatized all these years later by Didi's death and I, too, can't watch those vids!

To those who think Bo was NEVER harsh with Tina need to see this scene at 2:03:49.
While it's true that he never came down as hard on her as Asa, Clint and Cord often did, he wasn't always the gentleman with her either.
It wasn't until after Patrick's death that Bo softened up his attitude towards her.

They should have kept Bobby Blue around a lot longer he had charisma and chemistry with Vicki and Tina if I remember correctly.
England was probably the one place Bo and Didi should have avoided at all costs.
I realize Didi returned a few months later, without Bo, him having gone to Vietnam to help out an old war buddy. Once that was settled, I think she left to join him to resume their around-the-world voyage and I believe that's when they were kidnapped.

I'm glad that you're enjoying! Listen, I will only be sharing what has not been shared so far from 1986. In other words, I'm filling the void. Almost the rest of 1986 has been posted by another channel. When I get to some point in April, that's when I might end the marathon spree.
