We don't see enough of Bonnie Hunt, so thank you for having her on your show! It was always such a delight to see her on David Letterman.
I do not know how I was lucky (blessed) enough to have this come across my UA-cam feed‼️. How we have missed Bonnie Hunt….💗❤️. And haven’t heard anything about Alice. We watched ALL of her episodes of The Bonnie Hunt show and truly miss it. Alice was always a HOOT and SO adorable, a real treat. Love Phil Rosenthal and Somebody Feed Phil and his parents at the end of the show. Sorry I don’t know David Wild, but when I finish this.. I’ll check him out. HUMANITY That’s what these three stand for. Thank you so much.
Hear! Hear!
Bonnie Hunt❤️❤️❤️👏👏👏👏👏
I love her❤
Exactly what I said! ❤
“We just need to nurse our society back to health.” What a profound and timely statement, and what a gorgeous surprise to see Bonnie Hunt today. Thanks so much for that interview with her.
Bonnie Hunt is the person I would want to sit next to on a plane. She is wonderful! The Life with Bonnie show helped me survive during a very difficult time in my life. God bless her! ❤
Now for Bonnie, love, love, love her. Thanks for this time of sharing.
I am SO happy that UA-cam suggested this video! Phil, David and Bonnie, you touched my heart so many times over this hour and 20 minute meeting between you three kind-hearted, talented people! Hearing about all of the writers and comedians I grew up watching and losing a piece of my past when each one of them passed. Yes Phil, after you parents are gone you think of them every single day. And yes David, hearing new stories of how they touched others brings them back as if they are still here. Phil, I had the pleasure of being in Stephen Colbert's audience when you were on his show last year. I did not even know who you were, and yet between Raymond (one of my all time favorite shows), the Clinton video (which I remember so well!), your body of work and your kind-hearted, genuineness, you are now one of my favorite people. Bonnie has such a rich history of writing and performance, but she still offered to be of service to David's sister. I love her more than ever. Thank you for bringing a smile back to Carroll O'Connor when his heart was so broken. Now I have to watch your Elaine May video. You are so right, she invented modern-day comedy! Bless you all! ❤
I would love to see Bonnie Hunt more. She’s always unique and funny. Down to earth ,caring and just naturally funny!,
Thank you UA-cam algorithm for recommending this. I enjoyed every second of this beautiful, funny conversation. Bonnie Hunt is such a bright light. Please have her back again and again!❤️
I love Bonnie Hunt!!!
Every minute of this was DELIGHTFUL!!! Thank you for getting Bonnie to sit and chat ~ I among many who miss her sweet presence in our lives! Would listen to you all chat for hours more ~ please bring her back...
"If there's anything I can do to be of service..." My god. Bonnie Hunt is a national treasure.
What a wonderful feeling I got when I saw Ms, Hunt's name on this! Thank you, Phil and David. I can only hope that Ms. Hunt somehow reads comments, because I have always wished to thank her from the bottom of my heart for "Return To Me". The film is a true masterwork in every aspect that my wife and I consider to be an all-time favorite! It has been watched in our house more times than I could ever count - and it absolutely deserves a 25th anniversary edition on Blu-ray next year!
Loved RETURN TO ME. The whole cast wonderful but especially Bonnie 😅 & her Mom was in it too. Loved the guys & their poker games.
I went to a taping of Bonnie’s talk show and it was so much fun! After the taping she came through the audience and shook everyone’s hand and thanked them for coming. She told me she liked my coat 🙂
Bonnie Hunt has the best stories.
Bonnie is the absolute GOAT. I love her so much. Return to Me is beautiful, it was really cool to hear about Carol, and the joy it could bring to him.
I have been a fan of Bonnie Hunt for years, she is such a kind, wonderful person. Return to Me is my favorite romantic comedy, I have seen it more times than I can count.
I love Return To Me. It looks like the whole group had a great time together. Bonnie Hunt wrote, directed & acted in the movie. ❤❤❤
I ADORE!!!!! Bonnie Hunt. Her movies, voice acting, talk show, directing. Her truly humanitarian spirit. She is a treasure. We need more Bonnie.
She truly is one of the most beautiful human beings on this planet...I miss seeing her...
Don’t forget her great TV sitcom Life with Bonnie which hopefully will come out on video.
Looooove Bonnie! Miss seeing her!
Love Bonnie!! This was great!
One of the greatest crimes committed in television (and there have been some) is the moron who cancelled Bonnie’s talk show! Bonnie is gold. ❤
Always looked forward to seeing Bonnie on Letterman. She was so funny and quick. You could tell Dave really liked her. She'd make him laugh. I wish I saw Bonnie more often.❤
Have always loved Bonnie in everything she was involved with, as an actress, a writer and director. The film she talked about directing is "Return To Me" made in 2000.If you haven't seen it, it's a pure gem, a funny romance with a cast to die for - David Duchovny, Minnie Driver, Carrol O'Connor, Robert Loggia, David Alan Grier and Jim Bellushi. She is also in the film playing Jim Belushi's wife. The scenes with Carrol O'Connor are nothing short of wonderful. I watch it whenever I can find it.
I have missed this woman and her razor sharp sense of humor, her kindness and empathy, all of it...She speaks my language of Midwestern
I loved Bonnie in the movie "Return to Me" as well as in "Jerry Maguire":. She is so funny and talented!
Really Phil, please let Monica know I love you. The world can't get enough of you! You are my cutie foodie!
Bonnie is such a funny and kind soul.
John Cazale was Meryl Streep’s partner when he sadly became ill and passed away. He was in The Deer Hunter; he was also in Dog Day Afternoon (with Dustin Hoffman, actually), The Godfather I and II, and The Conversation.
I love, love Bonnie. I want to see her more and more!
It was about 7am & I’m on my day off from Nursing & this poped up on my Utube channel, what a rare treat & made my whole day. What truly wonderful & funny stories these 3 special friends had to tell…I’m a Nurse & work in a busy NY hospital & I’m Irish!!! Anyway I use my deadly, dark humor as a way to reduce my pts. & their families anxiety & fears while in the hospital. I also love to show old movies & see the pts. get lost, or smile, laugh, cry…whatever for just a short while, it helps us all enormously. This was a beautiful & hilarious pod cast with 3 incredibly talented people. I had no idea how multi talented Bonnie Hunt is & miss seeing her on the big screen, but I also miss the great comedy movies that are not being made today!!! So glad to hear she is remains an advocate for pts today…a much needed cause today. Thank you for a an early morning of fun & memorable stories, a much needed break from sad politics & wars. As you all mentioned we all need to be kinder & appreciative each other & hold our families closer. Bonnie you are a true HERO & your parents equally so for making you into the remarkable person you are today💜🤗. Boys you have a new fan & look forward to more early morning stories & great guests from this great show💜🤗
I never knew she was a nurse!!!! It makes me love her even more 💛 one of my top 10 movies is hers Return to Me!
I love how Hunt used the theme from Jackie Gleason's show in her movie, Return to Me. I also love all her work as an actor. What a bright, talented - and kind - human being. Thank you for having her on your show.
OMG, your show with Bonnie Hunt was just what I needed. It’s been 15 years since my Mum passed and I related so much to you all. Thank you so much. I loved and grew up with everything you talked about and my Mum and sister, Michele and I ( the 3 musketeers) were in so many funny scenarios that my sister and I still laugh about. I’m 77 and my sister 79, we have so much fun laughing at everything that happens in our daily life. We love Vegas and have casino venture. Don’t you think you should write a show about two Q-tips adventures at casinos? When my Mum was dying, my sister and I talked to my mother, in a comma and we were laughing so hard because we knew the end was near and we wanted Mum to be in on the funny stuff. Thank you so much for bringing those sad/funny memories. ❤️ Q-tips, white haired ladies who frequent casinos .😊
Thanks so, so much for having Bonnie on. I fell in love with her with her talk show and was so sad when it went off the air. Loved the story about her auditioning for Rainman during her lunch break. She is the BEST. ❤
This episode was absolutely brilliant! Bonnie Hunt is, hands-down, the most genuine, kind, relatable human on the planet! Everything she does is outstanding. I wish her all the happiness there is to enjoy. Thank you for sharing this spectacular gift, this ever-flowing volcano of talent, with us! You guys are all right too. 😉🤓
Bonnie Hunt!!!! We missed you!!!❤❤❤
I hadn’t realized how much she has been involved behind the scenes. Such wonderful work!!!
I used to love seeing Bonnie when she was on with Tom Snyder when he was on CNBC at night and later on the Late Late Show on CBS after Letterman. Bonnie is always awesome and her stories are great. Miss Tom Snyder too. Wish there were more shows on like his. They weren't interviews; they were conversations. This podcast is great. It's also just conversation and stories. Like being a fly on the wall as the viewer. Keep 'em coming!
She was good in “Only You” with Marisa Tomei(?) and Robert Downey Jr…I own the movie as well😀😀
LOVE Bonnie Hunt in every one of her earthly incarnations. 💖
Loved her show! Miss seeing her on T V
O M G how much have I missed Bonnie Hunt!!! I have loved every.time.she.is.on.screen!!!!! This woman-we are so blessed in her!!! ❤
I love Bonnie Hunt. ❤
What a treat! I watched this over 4 or 5 days just so I could savor it. Enjoyed all of you. This video set me off on a Bonnie Hunt revival- watching The Building, Life with Bonnie, Bonnie on Dave Letterman, The Bonnie Hunt show. Love from Chicago.
Bonnie Hunt! What a great episode. Bonnie is an absolute treasure. Just because she hasn’t been constantly in the spotlight lately, sometime we forget just how much she’s meant to us all. It’s so nice to celebrate her and her absolutely amazing career. We can’t miss Phil and David because they never seem to go away long enough for us to miss them. 😂😊
Love Bonnie Hunt!
I absolutely LOVE Bonnie Hunt! My daughter and I have both followed your career for years. I've loved you in everything I've seen you in over the years. I had no idea you were a nurse! We lived in Chicago for 2 years. One of our favorite movies is Return to Me, since my son-in-law, Branden, is a kidney transplant recipient (he was born with PKD), it holds a special place in our hearts.
In fact, after he finally recovered from Stage 4 Cancer in 2020 and got his 2nd transplant, he and my daughter finally had our miracle grandbaby, who is now 16 months old. It was so amazing to listen to you tell about all your amazing journey from Rain Man. In fact, that holds a special place in my heart as well, because my brother had Down's syndrome and I became a Special Education Teacher as a result. It was an absolute pleasure to see and listen to you! Bless you for your work as a nurse and a storyteller!
❤❤❤❤I love Bonnie!
What a fantastic conversation with three very good people
What is there not to love about Bonnie?
I went to Bonnie’s talk show several times and she was the sweetest every time! She shook every single person’s hand in the audience. Wish she still had her show. ❤

What a joy to see this interview. Bonnie Hunt is a GOD, as Jonathan Winters told her. Yet full of humanity.
I just watched the building for the first time. Why why why can’t we get comedy like that anymore?! I bet you guys could all put together a one time funny show and have great success with it. The world needs to laugh
I love Bonnie Hunt...it's so good to see her.
Bonnie Hunt is a gift ❤
Oh my goodness, what a pleasure to listen in on this conversation. 💓
Bonnie Hunt is my hero. Thank you for having her on.
I just love Bonnie! I still miss her talk show. I remember a charming story of two little ducks who helped her through the sadness of her divorce. This interview is interesting, funny, and uplifting. Thank you.
One of my favorite interview the guys have recorded. And I love how open and relaxed Bonnie is.
I missed her so much. Thank you for this.
Love Bonnie's talk show!
I love that Bonnie’s camera is focused perfectly on the bottle at the beginning
And perfect focus on the plant at the end! I love this! Someone get Gregg Toland!
Bonnie is a treasure. Thank you for this interview!

I love Bonnie Hunt! Best actress ever!!!
Wow, this was wonderful!
This is the best thing I've ever heard/watched. I can't believe I didn't know about this before. Thank you!!!!!
Oh my God, I can't believe how great Bonnie Hunt is❤❤❤It's been forever since I've seen her! Thanks Phil and David. Great video podcast. I am so grateful the algorithm found me. I immediately subscribed
Thanks this this very moving interview. Bonnie is one of our favorites. Her movie Return to Me is our daughter’s favorite movie and I believe the touching humanity of the movie inspired her to become a nurse like Bonnie. The best is yet to come….and thank you for giving Elaine May great praise. I was born in 1961 and didn’t really grow up with her comedy. What a force. Truly special. So enjoyable watching her old clips. Wow.
Thank you so much for sharing your lives with us. Laughter and music heals.
I love and miss Bonnie Hunt. So nice to stumble across this Naked Lunch episode.
I was blessed to be able to take care of my dad his last years of life and while he suffered immensely, his most favorite and happiest part of the day is when Bonnie Hunt was on. Yes, I think he had a crush on her. I'm glad she was able to give him some happy moments during his day! We love you Bonnie!
I have listened to Bonnie's stories over and over again. From her first audition story. David Letterman catheter questions and rewatches of her talk show. Treasure of stories to brighten your day.
I have loved Bonnie Hunt forever. Loved her late night talks with Tom. I especially loved her tv show which was wonderful!
Thank you. ❤ Just thank you.
I so miss the Bonnie Hunt show! I would watch it while nursing my babies before nap time!! Good memories.
Bonnie Hunt is as close to a perfect woman that God ever made. She really does have it all. When she mentioned getting divorced, two thoughts ran through my mind. The first was, I can't imagine the heaven on earth it would be to be married to this incredible woman. Secondly, it is way beyond my ability to even contemplate being married to her and then wanting to divorce her. How could the luckiest man in the world have such a mental breakdown? Great video. She's something else. She's not only the perfect woman, she's an extremely fine human being.
Return to Me is my fave Bonnie movie. Thanks for recognizing how terrific she is!!
Haha so clever and FUN!!! Thank you🤗❤️
Bonnie Hunt is a national treasure
Great casting. - Bonnie Hunt.
I absolutely loved The Bonnie Hunt Show and have loved her since!
Love seeing Bonnie Hunt!
Hi Phil! So glad this showed up on my feed! Saw you in Santa Rosa and loved you. Have watched every episode of Somebody Feed Phil more than once. Wow just love you!
I saw Bonnie Hunt on The Late Late Show with Tom Snyder (1999) and fell in love.
My favourite movie of Bonnie's is Return to Me. Her chemistry with Minnie and James is divine. I've seen this movie so many times and I always love watching those scenes with Bonnie.
I love Bonnie Hunt. She's so warm and funny. I'd love to see her again. My Mom's Alice also. I went to Chicago last month for a Phillies vs. Cubs game and remembered she came from Chicago and her show on the Cubs season opener. I'm glad I found this on UA-cam.
I miss seeing her. Funny lady. She deserved a successful sitcom. She had such great chemistry with Letterman. She's done wonderful little unexpected dramatic turns in things like The Green Mile and Escape at Dannemora. We still laugh when we remember "And we're walking." I hugely enjoyed her daily talk show, it was like a fun clubhouse, with the firehouse pole the guests who were brave enuf slid down to the set...and crazy David Duchovny actually climbed back up. And speaking of..."Return to Me" is such a beautiful film. I wish she could have directed more!
My crazy assed, funny, intelligent, beautiful, Mother (RIP) would wake me up to catch something she thought I’d enjoy when Johnny Carson reigned. Started when I was around 10 y.o. till I was “old enough” to not need so much sleep. No sleep schedule, no curfews growing up. Too much trust! This newly retired Hospice nurse appreciates this podcast, immensely.
