Chef/ Professor Sal!.. This is why I love watching your videos.. the history, the region of origin, your exact measurements of ingredients & timings...and your family's relationship & uses of the dish. It's like watching a documentary on mole. Thank you amigo for the education! BTW the mole looked amazing & I bet tasted even better! 👌🏼🍻
Thank you! I was going with a different style on this one and really proud how it turned out
Teach, man!! I love it when you get into the traditional dishes.
I like it too man. Not many times I get to do it
This looks amazing Sal! Very informative and packed with some flavor! Have a fantastic weekend! Cheers brother 🍻
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed. Have a great weekend!
God Love You and your Mom.
There is nothing better to put in your mouth than a good mole.
The jars at the store are good for collecting juice glasses, but nothing near the bliss I've cooked from scratch.
Lie. I only cooked one mole from scratch that I love, two were ok. I think it was Poblano, but I lost the recipe and still can't find it online.
Mole should be promoted and shared with the world and the best damn sauce ever created in the history of civilization! And that's speaking as a half French person. (Mom' side gots lots of Spanish/Sonoran Mexican)
MOAR Mole Please!
Thanks for taking a look! mole is my favorite. I made a lot last time and keep putting it in everything. I smothered some ribs with it and they were very good!

Pork and mole are awesome!
My moms mole also has like 30 ingredients!
Yours looks right man!
thank you! yeah, the numerous ingredients can be a deal breaker for most but also a friendly reminder that most of these ingredients you should already have in your kitchen.

Coming soon! doing a taco series and at some point will have to tackle the quesa birria taco. Been trying to get the recipe just right.
Looks fantastic thank you for sharing a great recipe
Thank you Sheena!
Great video
I appreciate it. Thank you!
Endless combinations on Mole! Great video bro! I grew up knowing peloncio as a different word lol, I think you know what word🤣🤣I love mole!
Lmao! I use to think that word was hilarious when I was little and my brother told me what it really meant so I thought it was uncool to say it. And I didn’t until way into my teen years where it became funny again lol!
@@SJCOOKS and that’s why I didn’t type it here but you know what I’m talking about! 🤣🤣🤣
When driving up the interstate 5, there is a road exit called “panoche road” and I act like a 10 year old when we drive past it and point it out to whoever is in the car. It’s usually my wife and she always says…”that’s not how you spell it!” or she says, “grow up” lol
Nice recipe Sal. If I were to try this, I'd add chocolate as there is a place by me that ruined me with a nice chocolate mole so I'd have to have it. Thanks!
Haha yup! Very tasty. The best sweet mole I ever had was at a wedding in Mexico. I saw them put all the ingredients and it was all mixed in a giant pot with a huge wooden spoon that looked like a broom handle. It was pretty epic and remember being amazed about how much they made for the guests
I like some abuelita in mine 😄 I always make sure to mix the rice and mole together.
Yep yep. I’ve seen people use that chocolate. Kinda want some now for the cold weather lol
Damn Sal, that does look good. I only tried the mole with dark chocolate in it. Great video!
Yep. The sweet mole with chocolate Is the most popular. It’s just crazy to think how many types there are out there. I think I am going to make a green one next
Question - I noticed the sesame seeds took a while in the blender. Would they do fine going in the spice grinder as well?
Yes! I was going to run it through spice grinder but I have to go through a few rounds of it since it won’t fit All of it at once
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Thank you! 🍻
