Don’t forget you HAVE to wash tomatillos. Tomatillos have this sticky mucous-like liquid that sticks to them. It makes sauces and foods taste sour. Wash them with some water. For even better effect, just a TINY bit of soap on them, and wash off with water. Washing them first enhances their flavor due to removing the sour sticky liquid outside.

    • @cosplayprincess

I got to say that it’s really nice to see the gastronomy of my country being featured on your channel. It’s always nice to see Mole recipes being recreated by incredibly talented chefs like you. I enjoyed seeing that you added your own twists to the recipe, that may not be authenticity Mexican, but are authentic to your creativity. There are dozens of different types of Mole recipes throughout Mexico, so if you’re up for another Mole recipe challenge, I suggest you go ahead and recreate them! (Especially Mole Poblano)

First of all let me congratulate you for even having the balls to try to make mole. To my knowledge my grandma is the only one that would make it from scratch back in the day. My mom and my aunt's all cheat now and use this paste that comes in a jar. True mole is hard and extensive, it's one of those things that is passed down. Although your recipe isn't authentic it doesn't matter. You kept it in the same atmosphere and how it taste is what truly matters in the end. Thank you for not doing what Rachel Ray did with pozole and bastarding of my culture. Great video and thank you.

@@rmx39 if you watched master chef season 10 which I’m guessing you didn’t, there was an episode where all the contestants had to make macarons and Nicks didn’t turn out so good. But, I agree with what you said. His probably didn’t turn out good during the competition because they were timed. I’m sure he’ll make some brilliant macarons if he tries right now 🤯🤯
