I'm Hispanic (MX background) and not even I have made it homemade because of how complex it is. I buy it store bought or bought fresh from a supermarket because it's so good. Thx for making it doe :)
Tip: Next time, take all the chicken apart and put it together with the mole sauce, and make a side of onions strings with lemon juice with a bit of peeper and a bit of salt, then that would go on the mole and enjoy with tostadas :)

Don’t forget you HAVE to wash tomatillos. Tomatillos have this sticky mucous-like liquid that sticks to them. It makes sauces and foods taste sour. Wash them with some water. For even better effect, just a TINY bit of soap on them, and wash off with water. Washing them first enhances their flavor due to removing the sour sticky liquid outside.
Its weird but I'm allergic to that sticky substance, but can eat salsa verde. So unfortunately I cant touch raw tomatillos, but once washed and cooked I can eat them . Weird asf

It’s always nice to see Mole recipes being recreated by incredibly talented chefs like you. I enjoyed seeing that you added your own twists to the recipe, that may not be authenticity Mexican, but are authentic to your creativity. There are dozens of different types of Mole recipes throughout Mexico, so if you’re up for another Mole recipe challenge, I suggest you go ahead and recreate them! (Especially Mole Poblano)
I cried a little watching this because I remembered a time when my grandma was making mole and it was a little too spicy (not really but my sisters dont really eat spice lol) and so she asked me to grab some chocolate de abuelita and I did and she added it to the mole and it was kind of like our little secret and also when I learned that chocolate goes in mole too. Thank you for this video :)
First of all let me congratulate you for even having the balls to try to make mole. To my knowledge my grandma is the only one that would make it from scratch back in the day. My mom and my aunt's all cheat now and use this paste that comes in a jar. True mole is hard and extensive, it's one of those things that is passed down. Although your recipe isn't authentic it doesn't matter. You kept it in the same atmosphere and how it taste is what truly matters in the end. Thank you for not doing what Rachel Ray did with pozole and bastarding of my culture. Great video and thank you.

I’m Mexican and mole is my favorite dish. I love how you made it! I think you did it justice. It’s a very complex dish, I’ve cooked it from scratch myself and it’s not easy to get right, but it’s worth the try.

This is actually a pretty decent mole recipe, living here in mexico and visiting my grans ocasionally who makes mole for her small business, and knowing what it tastes like and how its made, this is pretty solid
Mole is one of the most complex dishes to make. I've never tried it with fresh chile pods. A lot of people use mole sauce from a jar, but the flavor is not even close to the mole sauce from scratch. Finger snaps to you brave soul for taking on the Mole Dish.
@@rmx39 if you watched master chef season 10 which I’m guessing you didn’t, there was an episode where all the contestants had to make macarons and Nicks didn’t turn out so good. But, I agree with what you said. His probably didn’t turn out good during the competition because they were timed. I’m sure he’ll make some brilliant macarons if he tries right now 🤯🤯
