Sports transcends borders and nationalities! Great to see how different nations can train together to learn and improve. What a feast for the audience as well. Thanks Siwei and Yaqiong and Badminton Insight!
Not only are zsw n hyq are talented...they are extremely hardworking...training way longer and harder that others. Esp zsw. There is a video w him training too much during COVID when they couldnt go out to compete...really committed. Mixed doubles was the favourite to watch last few years even better than men singles. It's going to be hard to keep the like light in this event w zsw retiring, Thai n Japan pair split. They were extremely exciting to watch.
I love how Zhang Siwei and Huang Yaqiong were very gracious and generous for this experience together with their training team in China. Great respect and love from the Philippines. ❤️❤️❤️
Oh wow, I just read the article in the Chinese newspaper. What a loss for the badminton world. If you read this Siwei, we will miss you 😢. I wish you a great time with your family and friends.
I hope these memories can continue to build after Siwei’s retirement and the three of you can often collaborate to create more fun and informative badminton content together 💞☺️ Wish to see you guys visit Vancouver 🇨🇦 someday!
As a fans of badminton, now i never ever again complaining about my national teams played in international stage. The level is unbelievable high and we should be appreciate all athlete that already played in tournament
The 3v3 rallies were so good. I do enjoy watching every minute of the game. Very good training exercise. I am sure you guys and Siwei have all improved.
That 2vs2 drill with Zheng Siwei continuously advising to stay patient looked extremely intensive for the back player! 'Keep moving' is also a good advice. ^^
What an absolutely fantastic opportunity. Like the previous comment, sport transcends nationality and borders. Amazing how generous Zheng Siwei & Huang Yaqiong were with there time and energy, brilliant to see. A small snapshot as to why they're world number 1 and Olympic Champions...
Would say this is the best video on the channel as of now. Amazing how we get to see so close on how Olympic Gold medalists trains and how it compares to various other countries. Differences in training styles are really intriguing
These two videos are my favorite ones on the channel. So cool to watch and so much to learn. I really like the perspective of all the shots as you can see the game in so much detail. Thanks!
3 minuets compared to 40 minuets is rlly crazy, this really sets the Chinese team apart from the other teams. but Go Jenny and Greg, I believe that you can get a medal in the olympics 💪💪💪💪
Brilliant 2 part video! Thoroughly enjoyed this content! I honestly thought Greg already had a really mean smash. It was only side by side do I now realise Siwei's smash is next level. Greg's is plenty powerful already!
This training is absolutely insane and looks like so much fun while being competitive. Jenny hiding behind the net during the 3v3 game had me in pieces. Great video showing how the best in the world train 🙂
Thanks for the video! Awesome awesome stuff! Also want to add, its so easy for us as the viewer to see Greg and Jenny "struggling" with the drills, but on court its all so much faster and the opponents are literally the worlds best. So cool to watch and learn with you guys!
This is one of my favorite videos to date. I love seeing the intensity. Will you take this way of training and implement parts of it into your own practice? I'm referring to the time intensity more than anything else. Thanks both!
I'd like this 1000 times if I could; the best UA-cam badminton content I've seen to date! I'd love to see Badminton England hire ZSW as a coach once he retires but I'm not sure they have the resources to make that happen!
Loving the extended coverage of play. And I have my own version of 'Be patient'; which is telling myself "Don't try and win every point" - just after I totally played the smash when it should have been a lift.
Thank you for sharing the insight! It's even more bittersweet now that Siwei has officially announced his retirement. Maybe these training videos will inspire him to create more content in the future. And it looks like you two have already gotten better, especially in that 3x3 game! 😃
He already is posting footages of his trainings and badminton guides, as well as vlogs not related to badminton. It's just that they are on Chinese video-sharing site.
Awesome video. Really sad to know that Zheng Siwei is retiring from international play, I will miss his play and character for sure. On a side note, cool to see Wang Yilyu on a court again.
This training looks intense, but Im sure you learnt a lot! Curious what you take back with you to England and keep doing 😉 Excited to see where this Insight takes you both!
Excellent Part 2 following the previous video. It will be interesting to hear if you feed these longer training sessions back to Badminton England, and if they learn from these.
So sad to see Si Wei retired. Unable to watch him play Malaysia open next year. Happy retirement Champ! Thanks badminton insight making this content 🫰🏻
I was so waiting for the release.of this video. I can take alot from these videos of how professionals train. Will need to implement some of these drills wiht our young players. Thank again 😊 Merry Xmas to you two and may the new year bring more prosperity in your career and youtu e channel. Please more of this type of content. Love your work. 😊❤
Couple of things to learn from for me; SW : Stay patient, stay patient!! Me : BUT IM ALREADY DEAD!! 😂😂 Moral of the exercise : You MUST have extra gas in the tank when in a long rally and bide your time before finding a way to win the point. It's a mental game as well a physical one. The 3v3 Me : WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO DO TO WIN A POINT?? 😵😵 Moral of the exercise : Even with SW on your side, the other team's defence was very much up to the task. The saying IS really true that it's not over until the shuttle hits the floor, literally!! I also noticed a few "trickshots" and extra-ordinary shots you both played to win the point. From the last video, I noticed it too so maybe it's a good time to incorporate more of that in your games because you're definitely capable of pulling it off. 😁😁
I have been watching videos - Nice work. Suggest to prepare videos on injures related to Badminton for example after play I get heel pains. Videos like these will be good for badminton community.
if you guys ever go to china again for training, I think if would be so cool to train against Jiang Zhen Bang and Wei Ya Xin, I feel like they are the future of mixed doubles!
Imagine learning from the Best in the world! Such a priviledge. Looking forward for Greg and Jenny to have a better tournament results in the future :)
woh i cant imagine doing 40 minute drills non stop. The best ive ever done during my weekly training sessions have been 15 minutes of the 3 v 2 defense drill and after 1 round i am exhausted and needed rest.....make sense why they are the best in the world.
Great video. 2 things that got me thinking: 1. Maybe the key for your breakthrough is just increasing the duration of your training. You could be training too little right now. 2. If you train as hard as zsw, do you think you can reach his level? Where does individual talent come in and how much does it help? Is there a possibility one trains 2x as hard as zsw but because he does not have as much talent, the max that player can reach is 80% of zsw.
still depends on the body, obviously these athletes in china dont have a life outside of badminton because they straight up focus their day to day in training. i guess that factors in why they retire at such a young age
Thank you so much, sir and ma'am! Your lessons have helped me a lot. I hope one day I can play with you both (though I play singles) . really thank you 💝💝 .....
Once again, thank you for showing us this... those were really great training drills. Will England be implementing those kind of drills in the near future? :D
No wonder why the EU pairs struggle to finish their matches or keep their focus against the chinese, their stamina have another level. Thanks for this amazing filming opportunity !
Amazing video, the 3vs3 looks insane, it si crazy to me that they are training for 30 min each exercise. Also interesting to notice that Greg and Siwei stand differently when they are on defense. Both with their left foot a little bit more backwards, as Greg is left handed and Siwei is right handed. Can someone explain this to me?
You even get to play against Wang Yilü in the 3v3! He and Huang Dong Ping won the XD gold medal in Tokyo. Is CBA hiring retired players as sparring partners?
Was wondering exactly the same. Wondering what’s the story behind, good to see him. Although iirc he retired due to health issues, and you can see in the video he doesn’t seem to smash very hard
i wonder at this level what helps the player most multiStuttle feeding or such dynamic games like you guys did? BTW why did you not try the multishuttle training like Si wei ?
This is the best badminton channel ever

Wow those 3x3 drills were amazing to watch. I’m sure you’ll have both learned a huge amount! Also huge congrats to Siwei on his retirement!!
I love how Zhang Siwei and Huang Yaqiong were very gracious and generous for this experience together with their training team in China.
Great respect and love from the Philippines. ❤️❤️❤️
Feels weird watching this knowing that Zheng Siwei is about to retire
I agree with you 😭
😢
Oh wow, I just read the article in the Chinese newspaper. What a loss for the badminton world. If you read this Siwei, we will miss you 😢. I wish you a great time with your family and friends.
He's still training for WTF before retirement
Probably the only reason he was allowed to do this
Your growing friendship with them is such a beautiful thing. I sure hope you train with them still after their retirement. Love you guys and push on!
Thank you so much 😊
I hope these memories can continue to build after Siwei’s retirement and the three of you can often collaborate to create more fun and informative badminton content together 💞☺️ Wish to see you guys visit Vancouver 🇨🇦 someday!

If you are still able to move 😂😂😂

Lovely video. Great to see Siwei is still having so much fun, all the time. I can’t believe he’ll be retiring…
The 3vs3 game thrilled me so much. Your drives were so fast and had incredible accurate placement.
Great camera angle. The intensity of their drills are really pushing the limit.
Brilliant 2 part video! Thoroughly enjoyed this content! I honestly thought Greg already had a really mean smash. It was only side by side do I now realise Siwei's smash is next level. Greg's is plenty powerful already!

Hopefully ZSW becomes super active in creating content after he retires. He’s my idol, we’re the same age and height. Hate to see him go 😢
Thanks for the video! Awesome awesome stuff!

Amazing pair Zheng Si Wei and Huang Ya Qiong.
Thank you very much Greg and Jenny.
You’re welcome 😄
Damn, that 360 backhand was great Greg. Also loved the 3v3 rallies. The speed and intensity with duration is insane.
😄
This channel is an open invite to how the pros play and train... Please do more like this
Been waiting for this to be released ❤❤
What an cool experience for Badminton Insight...a very solid core memory, that's for sure!
For sure!

That 3v3 is the best 3v3 I've ever watched. Got the hype just by watching, amazing play.
Absolutely incredible video! The training was so intense I'm knackered just watching it!
Well done! What a great experience it must have been 😁
really enjoy this and part 1 (very insightful into how the best train and why they are the best)
Love your channel, enjoy every moment of it. Remain my hard training 30 years ago❤
Loved seeing the 2v5 drill. Must have been exhausting for you two!
Greg's defense around 9:00 was 🔥
Awesome video. Really sad to know that Zheng Siwei is retiring from international play, I will miss his play and character for sure. On a side note, cool to see Wang Yilyu on a court again.

Definitely the best and one of the funniest badminton UA-cam channels 😂😂❤
Oh man, I love this video so much. I'm so glad you guys did this. I hope to see you in Hangzhou on Saturday 😊😊
I think that's the key, training each drill for so lost. It will train you mentally which is the key in any sport.
I was waiting since past week😂...thanks for uploading ❤
Its crazy how fast the lifts and drives come back - core and leg strength must be insane.
so many educational information in this video, amazing video greg and jenny ! i'll definitely make the most out of it
So nice to see Wang Yilyu! How is he doing? Havent heard a lot from him since the Tokyo Olympics. And his defense is strong as ever in this video!
He's great, running a badminton hall, got married also. Bilibili has videos more about him!

@@THEMarkyGaming he’s sort of retired right now

This should have happened years ago. It would have been a joy to watch you 4 over the years.
Haha 😋
Great job Jenny on nailing the Asian squat during the 3v3 game!
Wonderful showcase of Olympic quality training- so much ❤ emanating from the video too!
Keep up the good work!
Thank you very much! 😃
OMG, I like the 3v3 game, it got an unbelievable amount of good shots, amazing reaction, ball placement, smashes and everything.
What great content in this video and what a great channel. Loved it, from NZ.
Wow, thank you! 🤩
Mairs, you actually play very good! Very nice training match, wish I was there and younger, ha ha.
Wow! I have to admit their training times are tiring however, they seem fun! Glad you guys enjoy your time over there
Haha yes it was definitely tiring, but we had an amazing time!
Imagine learning from the Best in the world! Such a priviledge. Looking forward for Greg and Jenny to have a better tournament results in the future :)

Amazing training video. It is like gold match point intensity.
Always!
Have you considered a series on getting youngsters started to avoid them getting into bad habits. Either aimed directly at them and or parents.
Love Siwei and his energy 🔥🔥
Can you provide some videos on how to perform a flat drive in badminton?
Great video. 2 things that got me thinking:
Thanks 😄 unfortunately many many years of training at this intensity is needed, and also the ability for the body to cope with the demands.

Wow the footwork is amazing greg and jenny
Fantastic mini series. So the questions is (and maybe follow up video) "What will you change about your training methods based on these learnings?"
It’s a good question! Thanks for the suggestion 😄
Great video. Can you do a video on what you learnt and what you will do differently?
Fast and furious! Thank you for the insight.
You’re welcome 😄😄
Thanks guys! This is invaluable information.
Will you have part three video? Like implement some you have learn for training back in the UK?
Can we consider lowering the high frequency noises of the shoes
Once again, thank you for showing us this... those were really great training drills.
Will England be implementing those kind of drills in the near future? :D
You guys were really good in the 3V3 game. Making them swearing oh fk several times. 😂
Oops 🙈 we didn’t realise hahaha
Funny how our usual "badminton teacher on youtube" has now become the student XD

As a Malaysian Chinese, I can confirm Zheng SiWei speaks much more proper English than our national players.
I smashed the like button even before the ads end!
