BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY - Recorder Cover of the song by QUEEN

- Опубліковано 27 сер 2024
- The BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY is probably the best known and most popular song in rock history worldwide.
For more than 20 years I have repeatedly thought about adapting this song for recorders and band without making myself or the instrument ridiculous.
Not only the recorder community, but also those who get involved with the sound of the recorder will now have great fun with it, and maybe there will be a portion of goosebumps on top of it..! ;-)
Recording:
Recorders, Bass: Ralf Bienioschek
Piano: Brandon Ethridge (NY)
Guitars: Markus Wienstroer
Drums: Dave Knight
Mix: Oliver Kels
Ralf Bienioschek
Camera + editing: Andi Huck
A big thank you goes to the Sparkassen-Stiftung Neuss and to Christian Weber (Kulturamt Neuss), with whose help I was able to finance the video.
Many thanks to you, dear Adriana Breukink, for my absolute favorite recorders. I play four of your Eagle recorders (soprano, alto, tenor, bass), the only recorders that give me this grandiose and unique recorder sound.
I also play a fantastic Küng Great Bass Superior and of course my blue Paetzold Contra Bass, which Jo Kunath pimped up.
You can find the version of the Bohemian Rhapsody that I recorded, as well as all my other groovy songs and arrangements for recorders and band, on all popular streaming services such as Spotify, Apple Music, etc.
DEUTSCH:

Just when you think you have seen everything the internet has to offer, it delivers you something unique, entertaining, and absolutely fabulous.
Gentlemen... Well Done
Thank you..! ☺🕺
Wow. This was amazing. Must have been so much work to put together.
Thanks ! That's my job! 😉 I love to show again and again how great the recorder can be and what is possible on it! And not just in early music..!
@@ralfbienioschek6 Amazing is the only word that matches this cover. So many instruments I'd never heard of (what's that metal one you're playing standing at 3:08?), playing the parts of the original recording with both respect and a personal feeling... Absolutely beautiful. It certainly does put the world of recorders forward.
And I love the pleasure you take while playing the guitar solo part :-)
Hope Andi Huck enjoyed himself too, his job is also incredibly talented -and quite in tune.
Vielen herzlichen Danken an Sie beiden von Frankreich!
@@ThefrenchFranz Hello Franz, thank you very much for your very nice comment! I am very grateful for that and I am happy when my work is appreciated!
The instrument at 3:08 is a sub-bass recorder. 😉 It's basically a square recorder, based on a wooden organ pipe. This was airbrushed back in the 90s based on my design. These basses became more and more popular and are now manufactured by Kunath-Instrumentenbau www.kunath.com and delivered all over the world.
Salutations à la France
@@ralfbienioschek6 Thanks for the kind reply and these infos! I'd never heard of a square recorder before either🙃...
But now I've seen you play it on your "Bad guy cover", and a lady plays it on one of your BON videos (Ankunft der Königin von Saba).
This is freakin' BRILLIANT! Very well done!
Thank you! ☺
Eine wunderbare Hommage an Freddy bzw. Queen! Hammer!🎉
This is absolutely mental!! The skill is off the charts!! Amazing job, absolutely love it!! From a HUGE Queen fan!!!
Awesome!
Bravo bravissimo
Recorder is the absolute best❤🎶🎵👏👏
Loved it. I didn't know there were so many different recorders. And the video was great too.
It’s crazy, no matter how you present this song. It’s a true classic, that I’ll replay and listen to for the rest of my life. Thank you for this rendition. It was special and beautiful.
A marvelous tribute to such good music, quite a feat, quite a feast !
Fabulous! I can't wait to send this to my recorder group. We play a bit of everything (early music, folk, American songbook, ragtime, etc.), and I know they will appreciate your musicianship. Full marks on arranging, playing, and video production!
Another masterpiece by Ralph!
Great job Ralf, many compliments!
That was delightful. Loved it!
Wunderbar 🙏, gefühlvoll, einfach klasse ❤️.
Love what you did with the guitar solo
What a great cover!
That was amazing! I love recorder anyway, but this is a masterpiece of skill and time. Bravo!
Very very wonderful🎉
You are “King “ of recorder performer‼️
Thanks..! 🙏
Wonderful. Well done
What talent and imagination!!!!! Amazing work!
Impressive and entertaining. And a number of instruments I have never seen!
Wow 👏👏👏
Wie cool ist das denn mega !!
Very well done, Mr Ralph. My, how that takes one back. Of course when our Party is elected we will institute compulsory recorder tuition at all schools in order to achieve sight reading proficiency countrywide. Sanity shall then at last prevail. (But first I must start a new Party.)
I have been playing recorder for 7 years at this point and this is a masterpiece done by you this deserves a subscribe
I love how you played using different recorders it’s so cool! I love how you played the song! I also learned how to do this song by you!
ist das geil ! So eine coole Sau der Binio! 👍👍👍👍
WOW.... just wow... loved it. ❤❤ you made my day!
Bonkers.....and BRILLIANT.
Thank You! ☺
I'm a new learner, just started practicing a couple of days ago. This video really inspires me. Thanks for sharing!
Very wholesome. I played recorder as a child, I need to relearn.
Brilliant😍😍 I just started the tenor recorder and I love to see it is for pop music too❤Everyone wants me to play the piano, but the recorder gives me a warm feeling. It will take a little longer because I am 59, but as long as I enjoy. Only my joints hurt (artritis) So maybe one day I can afford a comfort tenor😊Merry Christmas and thank you❤🎄
Brilliant and most moving too. Thank you!
I've heard some bloody good arrangements of Bohemian Rhapsody; choral, orchestral, whatever, but this one takes the biscuit. I play recorders and other assorted tubes. This arrangement is incredibly beautiful, expressive, accurate, and completely puts to bed the idea that recorders belong only in schools and in early music pieces. Your playing, arranging and video editing truly rocks! Pink Floyd, eat your hearts out!
❤
More, please!
Excellent Job !!!!!
Thank You! ☺
This arrangement totaly touched me 💗💗💗💗 Amazing
Details are captured beautifully 🤞🤞
This video deserves more views!
Thank you! And I think you're right 😅 Perhaps you can help me...😉
Hermoso...!!! Sublime...!!!
Sehr schön!!!
🤩🤩👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Amazing!!! 😍😍😍
BRAVO 👏👏👏👏
That was so cool. Really enjoyed that
This is a masterpiece x2. Your shaping of the notes really evoked the feeling in the lyrics. Could you please tell us the name of each instrument you used, with time stamps?
Perfect!
Hi! Wow - this is super cool and such a great song! We are a kids family band from NZ and we like to cover classic rock and check out other peoples versions. We do a cover of Bohemian Rhapsody too :) Rock on!
Oh hi fellow kiwi
That was awesome.
WOW, what a talent
Excellent bravo 👏
This is not nearly getting enough views! Cannot believe this hasn't got 10 million views yet! Wow!
Well, I'd like that too... 😉 Who knows, maybe it will happen one day...!
Wonderfully played ...
Superb .
Great job 👍🏻
Freddy would be proud
Wow amazing bro👏👏
incroyable bravo à tous
This is brilliant! Do you have the sheet music available?
😃👍
Can I buy a copy of the sheet music for recorder anywhere please?
Ich bins Philip dieses Lied sehr sehr toll.
Danke lieber Philip! ☀
Interesting, it how it would sound in the middle age
ual👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
It's really great!!! How can I buy this sheet music?
Thank you! At the moment it's not possible to buy the sheet music, but I'm working on it..!🤷♂😉
😮🙏
Wo gibts da die Noten dafür, ich leite eine Blockflötengruppe und das Arrangement hat mir sehr gut gefallen. PS Ich spiele auch auf eine Paetzold Subbass
Just when you think the world has gone to hell in a hand basket, you get a gift…such as this.
is it possible for you to play love of my life by Queen ? Danke
Well done! Oh SO close to Bardcore music. Substitute harp for piano, wood/calfskin drums and timbrel for the drum set, and lute for the electric guitar...
How can I find the sheet music?
This certainly competes with the muppets
😂😂😂😂😂
That recorder is a bit out of tune
