Checking out the makita 18v radio and 12v radios. Just showing the features & talking a little bit about my experience with it. Overall impressive tools
I'm impressed it worked at all at 110 plus degree weather. I own one, and it on occasion when I change the volume the speakers cut in and out. The specs on the Makita website says it runs for 35 hours on a 5ah battery, 14 hours on a 2ah battery. I have to say it is tough though! Mine fell off my work bench that's about 4 feet tall and bounced across my concrete floor. The bumpers do exactly what they are supposed to do.
I agree! Very impressive! It was 115-118 at one point and the radios screen actually turned like black but kept working! but then I put it in the shade and I could see the controls again. Have used many months after that day with no problems! I have dropped it good amount of times on many surfaces as well without any problems . On the speaker problem Maybe because the volume and the power are integrated? I sometimes turn it off trying to change stations lol
Man I like your little radio! That would be perfect for hiking or camping.
I take it hiking and camping every time 🤙🏽

@@AgaveroCaliforniano I thought about that being the issue. Maybe when the power gets low the volume button acts up.
