- Rochelle #2 update ... prison and mental health.
It turns out that I know Rochelle from about 7 yrs ago but I didn't recognize her when I interviewed her. It wasn't till a friend pointed out to me that we actually used to know her from the Garage Bar in temple bar. one of the pubs I used to frequent.
Paul, that was your best interview yet. The emotion and care you showed in your questions was beautiful. Rochelle knows she is not alone while you are around. Great job, man.
This is heartbreaking... 27 years of age and lost in addition...with little hope or concern for herself....she is more concerned about your phone getting wet, than herself... I hope she has people in her life that care about her... It's great you checked back in with her and no doubt bought her the coffee.. today you cared about her.
Wow I have seen this lady outside lidl but the pics how she was years back to now was like a kick in the face ! 😳....Great work paul.
This girl needs minding for sure, Bless her, it's heartbreaking. She has a long road ahead of her. I hope and pray she gets help ❤❤❤
Sending love and wishing you the best Rochelle 🕯️💚✨

Pauly that girls not right she really needs some extra support 😢 so sad i wish her well and hope for her struggle 😢
Addiction really doesn’t discriminate. I hope she gets the help she needs. You can tell by looking at her she’s a good person
Bullshit.
Addiction does not meet the criteria specified for a core disease entity, namely the presence of a primary measurable deviation from physiologic or anatomical norm. Addiction is self-acquired and is not transmissible, contagious, autoimmune, hereditary, degenerative or traumatic. Treatment consists of little more than stopping a given behaviour. True diseases worsen if left untreated. A patient with cancer is not cured if locked in a cell, whereas a junkie is automatically cured. No access to drugs means no drug addicts. A person with schizophrenia will not remit if secluded. Sepsis will spread and Parkinson disease will worsen if left untreated. Criminal courts do not hand down verdicts of “not guilty by virtue of mental illness” to drunk drivers who kill pedestrians.
At best, addiction is a maladaptive response to an underlying condition, such as depression or a nonspecific inability to cope with the world.
Touch grass lad
@@Shellzy99 well that's a well thought out and educated reply! Well done you!
What a bloody shame she was an very attractive looking girl once I hope she gets it back and is all ok bless her sending love ❤
Thank you Paul. From Nicki in Bray. X
Wow unbelievable just what these drugs can do in such a short time frame beautiful girl I see her all the time in Thomas Street she is quiet and doesn't bother anyone I teuely hope she gets the help she needs but unfortunately, she has to want it that's the only way it will work.
Beautiful girl gbless her x
Well done pauly. I only discovered your channel because it was mentioned in the SundayWorld today and I looked at the video of the guy that won the medal and his parents collected it , he had a familiar story, but fair play to him for being so heroic, RIP James
Thank you friend
She’s in Bray now and always gets offered help but won’t take it.
Sending love. Remember her from. The street.
I really wish the lady well . Here to help if needed ❤
If needed? Do you think she is going to post a comment here looking for help?If you want to help get off your ass, go and see her , and help her..
No all steve
@@bernadetteprice3931 do you mean “ know “ all ? No , it’s common sense instead of posting a comment making yourself out to be some sort of Good Samaritan when you are not .
She's describing possession..
I was just gonna say that.. especially the smell. I've got that myself before along with physically feeling a demon in the bed beside me.
100% it's so scarey, she is gone, really gone to the dark side
I knew Rochelle before she reached this condition. It wasn't Philippinos who sold her the speed. She's been brain washed by the bastards she use to deal with.
Godbless her 🙏❤
Jesus christ it doesn't matter who sold her the ice that's hardly all you took out of this
What was she like before she reached this condition? .. As someone commented - addiction doesn’t discriminate! It’s a very unusual case .. She strikes me as someone that just went out one night, took drugs and gradually, became so lost mentally!
@@RalphCif89 I was so angry when I seen this, Your right by the look of my comment is does seem like that was all I got, but just to clear this up. I shared a room with Rochelle before all this. She was so deluded in her thinking stating she wasn't a drug addict n I was. She wasn't wrong about me, At that time I was heroin addict. I know her story from childhood. We still chat daily and its horrible watching her decline. Iv since gotten my life back but il never stop trying to help her.
i hope she gets better
She's a nightmare outside that shop. Spitting and shouting at mother's and kids
God bless her poor soul is lost ❤
It's odd you would get sent to prison for begging. But I've given this girl money and I've seen her litroly jumping in front of cars to stop them to ask for money. I seen a range rover that nearly knocked her down
my god that was some transformation she went through
You're without a doubt a nice lady but you really do need to come of drugs for good and find a good sympathetic doctor to give you the right medication that you need you're going to need more help than that living on your own in a house your become lonely and isolated it may be better to live in some type of shade accommodation where you wouldn't be on your own and someone to look out for you as well I hope you try and find a nice partner the man that's interviewing you is a good guy if you don't listen to me then listen to him because he knows what he's talking about take care and look after yourself and be careful on the streets begging it's dangerous
1:13 best part god bless her ❤😢
Where is her family, I feel for her because of her hosesty. Certain people will see her as a easy touch.
That's mad. I wonder what led her down that path. Or maybe she always dabbled and then the addiction got a hold of her.
Trauma .
Addiction is a mental illness in itself.
Your a fantastic gye pauly
They brought in new laws about begging like UK,in UK if u politely ask for spare change WHILE SITTING DOWN(BEING NON AGGRESSIVE)U GET ARESTED.
steal a little and they throw you in jail steal a lot and they make you king... Bob dylan
🙏🙏🙏 cast the deamon's out...
He reminds me of a girl I know frm my town, who cud have autism, but I know u can b high or low on the spectrum.PAULY I NEEDED DUAL DIAGNOSIS IHAVE ADD AM SURE LOST JOBS CUDNT WORK TILLS.
100 percent this girl is definitely on the spectrum
There's allot of speed around Sligo and Leitrim
She's pretty cute. I wish I could save her. But she has to be te one to save herself from addictions.
It is disheartening to witness the decline of this girl, as she has transformed from a cheerful girl with blonde hair to her current state. It is difficult to fathom how drastically her situation has deteriorated. This serves as a stark reminder of how quickly things can spiral out of control. It appears that she may be struggling with significant mental health challenges that require attention. Her pictures depict her as a very innocent person. I am curious to know when those pictures were taken.
It's like she's under demonic possession
I would say it's drug induced psychosis @@eggsellent11
@@eggsellent11Evil spirits tend to follow addicts, that's true.
Poor girl, wait until the Fentynal hits the streets
2:26 She's describing demonic energy. Whether she realizes it or not.
she looks healthier than him
Thanks for that the Asian got the Ice it a dirty dirty drug
shame shame shame please get back to your old self good luck.
Jesus I know Paul an his brother from years ago they were always together, but i havnt seen Paul in a long time. And R.I.P 2 his brother such a gentleman.Delighted 2 see u doing great Paul buddy🫶💚💚💚
Hi Lisa..The bro is still alive..good to hear from you tho

At best, addiction is a maladaptive response to an underlying condition, such as depression or a nonspecific inability to cope with the world.
1. Most mental disorders don't display a "primary measurable deviation from physiologic or anatomical norm".
2. "Treatment consists of little more than stopping a given behaviour." Say that to someone with OCD, Anorexia, Bulimia, etc.
3. "True diseases worsen if left untreated". As does addiction.
4. A junkie is not "automatically cured" by being locked in a cell. That's like saying an anorexia nervosa patient is automatically cured by being force fed. You may be confusing dependence with addiction.
@@MrPancakelizard 1. Wrong. The majority of psychological disorders listed in DSM publications do.
2. Yes, you are correct with OCD, but wrong with anorexia and bulimia.
3. Again you are correct, however addiction to heroin can be stopped without any treatment therefore relieving all symptoms so your point is moot.
4. The symptoms and prognosis, regardless of severity of diagnosis of an anorexia nervosa patient WILL be relieved to the point of physical cure if sufficient nutrition is delivered to the system regardless of the method.
And no, I'm not confusing dependence with addiction.
@@hugokeys602 are you including brain scans in point 1? if so, then deviations are also seen in the brains of addicts, particularly in the striatum and prefrontal cortex.
Simply removing the drug to stop addiction only works as long as the patient can't access the drug. The literature is pretty clear that relapse occurs in most cases even after all physical withdrawal symptoms have abated. Why would this happen if they were cured? This is why in the case of opioids, maintenance therapy (i.e. methadone or buprenorphine) is the only truly effective treatment.
Treatment: Rochelle is not "there" yet, first stage of treatment is the desire to stop. But as she says she still has a taste for it. Hope it works out anyway
